I had a leaking pipe in my crawlspace and they said they would have a plumber contact me. Before plumber got in touch, I got a phone call from what turned out to be a slimy sales guy selling remediation services. It took like five minutes of questions before it became clear that it wasn't a plumber trying to figure out what equipment to bring. I didn't give any consent to share my personal information on the call with RPX, and they did not let me know a "partner" would be in touch, so this practice seems questionable at best. I was so bothered I canceled my appointment and went with a more scrupulous plumbing company.

Kence and Derek tackled a major sink blockage in our home and worked long and hard until it was perfectly draining. Both men were very professional and respectful. They explained every step of the process and what the job entailed. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter and Kence and Derek.

Vince diagnosed the issue. He was very prompt and professional. Took care of the problem. A very nice young man. Highly recommend this company.

Jose (#4374) was very thorough and took time to explain the process of what he was doing as he was doing it. He was also detail oriented in his inspection and essentially saved us hundreds of dollars. Will definitely be using this plumbing service again if needed in the future.

Connor did a great job installing my water heater and gave me a fair price (the competitors were trying to rip me off). He was thorough and explained the entire process along the way. I took the best HOT shower after and would definitely recommend him and Rotor Rooter for my next install.

Kency and Dereck were excellent! Kency arrived within hour of my call, sent a field supervisor, Tyrone and then returned with Dereck to remove cabinets, sink and counter. Then replaced my burst pipe the same day. Wonderful job!

I called Roto Rooter out to help because we had no hot water. I told them the HVAC guy had just replaced the motor on our unit and wondered if something happened at that time. Kency said that in order to do that, the HVAC person had to have turned off the gas to do so. He took one look and said, yes, they had forgotten to turn turn it back on. Problem solved. Jose 4374 is a great plumber!!!!!!!!!!! He quickly diagnosed the issue with my water heater and, unlike other companies, didn’t try to upsell me on a full replacement. It turned out to be just a bad check valve, he fixed it right away. He was professional honest clean and organized.He had my hot water back on in no time. Highly recommend!

Keith was super helpful with replacing our pressure release valve. Very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge along the way. I appreciate him not instilling fear in us to up charge like the horror stories you hear. Took less than an hour to replace and now we’re leak free! Thanks Keith for all your help. Technician Kency came and checked my water heater. He was very personable but professional. He was in and out very quickly! Good dude!!

I had a broken branch line pipe in my basement. I ended up having to replace about 15 ft of cast iron plumbing and jet the remaining line. I dealt with several employees through the process and all of them were personable, professional and knowledgeable. It was a pretty significant repair and the supervisor JJ helped me get the maximum claim value with my HOI and had the pipe replaced and jetted in one day! Although this was not something you want to deal with as a home owner, I was very happy with the service! The team of technicians that handled the replacement and got the plumbing back up and running were great! I hope I never have to deal with a broken pipe again, but if I do I know who I’m calling!

Roto-rooter and more importantly Jose were so awesome! They came out on a Sunday after we had a toilet back up and over flow. Jose was extremely courteous, friendly, and polite. He explained everything, every step of the way.

I will be using them for the rest of the time.

Jose (4374) was fantastic! From the moment he entered my home he was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and checked our problem pipe from multiple locations. When we found that our pipe had a total blockage and that a normal drain snake would not be able to clear it, Jose was quick to come up with a few solutions that we might be able to pursue. Additionally, Jose determined the root cause of our issue and we had a plan to move forward and prevent a repeat of the issue.

I called them for a leaking shower, they quoted 5k to tear shower tile out to fix leak and it would be up to me to get shower retiled, back in Sept 20'. They also charged me $176 service call. I called out another company but they replaced a part for $150 total. Here we are March 26' still no leaks, no other damage. With that being said I would stay away from this company and their shady practices.

My technician Kency was freaking awesome. Polite, efficient, kind. He absolutely saved me, my main drain line clogged and my toilet wouldn't flush, and I am going out of town TOMORROW. Having someone stay at my house this weekend. Absolute life savers! Highly recommend!

Our water heater was failing and Emanuel came, quickly diagnosed the problem, got us a new water heater and installed quickly and efficiently. He was courteous, friendly and professional. We will be glad to have him take care of any plumbing needs in the future.

I had the pleasure of having Vince help me solve a clogged issue with my toilet. They showed up quickly (within 45 mins) after I had called and canceled another plumber for having me wait for over 4 hours without any updates. Vince is VERY knowledgeable, professional and reassuring and I am so grateful to have had him come out. While the cost was a bit pricey, the service was excellent!

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup (6025 Northbelt Pkwy NW STE B, Norcross, GA).

On 2/10, a technician named Tyrone came out to check a leak under our kitchen wooden floorboards, in front of the dishwasher. There was no visible water, but about a 5 ft x 5 ft section of the floor had started to cup and swell. I do appreciate that Roto-Rooter was able to schedule a same-day appointment. Unfortunately, the service itself was very poor.

I was at work, and my mom was home during the visit. Tyrone pulled out the dishwasher and claimed he found the leak, but he never actually showed my mom where it was or clearly explained what he found.

Instead of focusing on identifying and fixing the source of the leak, he repeatedly insisted that the entire kitchen flooring needed to be replaced. He also said that to match the kitchen floors, the connected hallway flooring would need to be replaced as well. On top of that, he claimed the basement ceiling under the kitchen had water damage and would need to be replaced, even though there was no visible damage.

His estimates were shocking: $300 to replace the leaking pipe, $7,000–$13,000 for water mitigation and mold inspection, and approximately $20,000 to replace the kitchen and hallway floors. He strongly suggested that the full floor replacement would be “free” because he would write up a report and insurance would cover it, and we would only need to pay $300 out of pocket for the pipe repair.

My mom called me very worried, so I asked him to explain everything to me over the phone. I repeatedly asked whether he had clearly identified and confirmed the source of the leak. He avoided directly answering and continued focusing on replacing the floors. When I asked whether filing an insurance claim could increase our premium, he hesitated and said no. He also kept encouraging my mom to sign documents before leaving.

We decided to have a second opinion, and had another licensed plumber come. He clearly showed us the actual source of the leak. It was not under the dishwasher as claimed by Tyrone. It was simply a loose connection on the water line that was slowly dripping and pooling a small amount of water under the floor. The plumber tightened the connection in about 10 minutes and did not charge us anything.

There was no major pipe failure. There was no need for $7,000–$20,000 in work. There was no basement ceiling damage.

I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. What we experienced felt like unnecessary upselling and recommendations for extensive repairs that were not supported by the actual condition of the issue. It is very concerning that a homeowner could be led to believe such significant work was required without clear evidence.

Please be cautious before hiring this company. Our experience left us feeling misinformed and very uneasy about the recommendations that were made.
