Appliance Repair reviews in Boise, Idaho

I was thoroughly disappointed in the service by Telco Electronics. I took my 55 inch television to Telco for repairs and it took them a little over a week before they even turned it on so inform me that they couldn't find an issue.
Once I brought the tv back home, I found that the issue was still in fact there. It's a waste of my $50, my time to drive the television there and back not to mention.....I had to call them because a courtesy phone call from Telco was never received. Keep the money.....I won't be back. -
This company was paid by Samsung to come out and look at my cooktop for a warranty repair they never came out and they lied to Samsung and told them they did and that my stove wouldn't be a warranty repair because it was cracked which it was not. I had to straighten things out with samsung but this company almost caused not having my cooktop warranted because they wanted to take short cuts. I since have been contacted back by Telco and stove is going to be warranted I will update review after repair is completed.

I called them with a tv model and serial number. They were able to give me a range of the product cost to replace. In the end, they told me very honestly that it would be cheaper to buy a new product in this case because this model of LG had very expensive aftermarket parts. I was amazed at how honest that they were and that they valued having integrity over making a profit. Class act!

Recently my car battery died in my BMW. When i purchased the car 2 years ago a $2500 dollar dvd player came with the vehicle. However the owners manual did not.
When I replaced my battery the Panasonic unit asked for a security code. I called Telco electronics and talked to Brandon who was incredibly helpful. I was then refered to Shane who runs the company who was able to fully restore my stereo free of charge over the phone. I was incredibly impressed with the assistance from Telco. I am happy to leave them a 5 star rating for a very professional company who chose customer service over making a profit from a customer. Thank you guys very much for your professionalism and great customer service. -
I wanted to take the time to update a previous review I wrote on an experience I had with Telco. There were some miscommunications, but Shane the owner called me to address my concerns and correct the issues. I appreciate the time Shane took out of his schedule to listen to my concerns and he promptly addressed them. Shane is a stand up owner.
I would recommend Telco to anyone that requires any type of electronic repairs or services.

I have used them multiple times and really appreciate their friendly and helpful attitude. A real Service oriented Company. Receptionist set expectations clearly then not only met but exceeded them. Glen provided top notch Denon receiver technical support, identifying repair options and then executing them flawlessly. Thanks for all your Help Telco !

On Wednesday Nov. 3rd around 4:00 pm we noticed our LG fridge wasn’t cooling. I was leaving on a business trip the next day at 3:45 am. I first called LG because the fridge was only about 3.5 years old. LG was already closed for the day. I looked up repair places in our area. The first place didn’t work on LG but gave the name of two places that did. The first place was closed. The 2nd place was Telco. I called and they said they could be out Thursday and if it was under warranty there would be no charge to us. I agreed to have them out. Thursday morning, I called LG and they said they used their own technicians not independent companies but couldn’t have a technician out until Nov. 10th. LG also said the fridge issue sounded like it would be covered by warranty. My wife needed the fridge ASAP for medical reasons so we kept the appointment with Telco believing it would be under warranty. The repair man for Telco arrived on time, he was very young. He tested the fridge and said it defiantly was not the compressor and the repairs would not be covered by warranty. I was told by that technician the parts would take at least 5 days and the cost would be between $600.00 to $1,000.00 to repair the fridge. He charged us $80.00 and said it would be applied to the repairs if we used Telco. We were in an odd situation, so I paid the $80.00 and called LG and scheduled with LG. LG’s technician arrived on Nov. 10th and had many years’ experience. The technician tested the fridge and said within the first 15 minutes it needed a new compressor and all parts and labor would be covered under warranty. He repaired the fridge the same day at no charge to us. He had no knowledge of Telco. When I called Telco and explained what happened and asked for my $80.00 back Wes at Telco told me if I would have used them and LG covered the repairs, they would have given me my $80.00 back. But I was told it wasn’t under warranty? Then I was told it was LG’s fault for not letting Telco repair my fridge and I should call LG and ask LG my $80.00 back! I’m still shocked! What were they going to do? Charge me $600-$1000 and then try and collect from LG under warranty? Telco either doesn’t know what they’re doing when it comes to LG products or they’re dishonest.
Oh, and the fridge has been working just fine since LG fixed it. -
I would need a service for my Receiver Onkyo Model # TX-NR809 .
Left channel has no sound. Took it to other shop, they could not find the parts. So I decided to take it to Telco Electronics, within 4 hours , Shane
called me and give an estimate for $95 including parts and labor.
I picked up the received next day and It's working as a champ.
Highly Recommend Shop. -
I've never written an online review but Telco deserves it.
I bought a floor model Samsung 55" HDTV and withing 8 months, the screen started acting up.
I called tech support and they set-up a work ticket with Telco.
Eileen got back to me super fast and Wes told me the names of the techs that would be at my house as soon as Samsung delivered the replacemet part.
Mind you, I am in Yakima, WA and Telco is in Boise, ID.
Jessica was the service tech in Yakima and was at my house 10 minutes EARLY, and even with a trinee on-hand - had my TV unmounted and, repaired and back-up in less than 40 minutes!!
I just called Jessica again for some other issues we are having with other things. -
After ordering a flat screen TV stand per Sears site and receiving the wrong one, I was told of Telco and that they could help. I visited the shop and was met by Sara who ordered the additional part needed to complete the stand and found out the base was wrong. She ordered the base as well and in 2 weeks time my TV is set up at less cost than the cost of the incorrect stand. Sara was courteous, pleasant, and had the time to make sure I was taken care of. When the parts came in I was notified immediately by a phone call. I would recommend this shop for TV repair to anyone. Pleasure doing business with a competent group.

Came over to do warranty work on a Samsung refrigerator ice maker. They ordered the part and came over as soon as it came in. Quick install, ice maker works again. Great communication and service.

I just spoke to a really nice guy on the phone who was able to diagnose my washing machine’s excessive noise issue over the phone based on specs. Really appreciated him taking the time out of his day to explain the issue to me and save me the service call fee that I’ll be using to save for a replacement washer. Will be giving them a call again if I ever have an appliance issue that is cheaper than the cost of a replacement!

Had a tech come out before and they fixed our fridge, but 3 months later it started making noise again, so when we called the operator had said it was not under warranty and it would be 80.00 just to have them come out and look at it. We told her they just fixed it and she still seemed quite blunt about the minimum $80. So we were not impressed with that attitude. but after Nick came out and looked at it. He saw that the problem was most likely caused by a wire that got caught between the seal and caused moister to get in and start causing ice buildup. And it was most likely caused by the last tech that did the repair. So he did not charge us. That is a company that has integrity. So I would recommend them. Thank you Nick. Very nice job!

In the last week I have dealt with 4 employees to get my Samsung oven range fixed. The two employees on the phone were very helpful and delightful to talk with. Arranged a time quickly to have a technician come out. The technicians give a courteous call about 20 minutes out before arriving. Both removed their shoes before entering the home. The technicians, Brian and Nick, were both respectful and knowledgeable! Parts came in very quickly and the range was fixed in no time. My Samsung oven range was under warranty so I don't have experience with payment issues. But based on everything else, I would highly recommend this company.

Tanner came to fix our Samsung range that was having some issues. The repair was done quickly, correctly and honestly. I can't say enough good things about this shop. If you are lucky enough to live in Central Oregon and own Samsung products that need service, these are the folks for you. Thanks Tanner, Wes and team!!

Very satisfied with our experience with Telco. They came to our home, diagnosed the problem with our fridge, ordered the necessary parts and then returned to fix it in a timely manner. They also handled all the warranty info and invoiced the manufacturer. They were responsive and knowledgeable and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Telco!

I could not be more pleased with this company’s work. If you have a Samsung product, do not go anywhere else. TELCO advocated for a new icemaker on my Samsung refrigerator. With absolutely no hassle, Samsung authorized TELCO to replace the icemaker with an upgrade. The work was done, very timely and in a professional manner.

You can't go wrong with Telco! We've had them out to our house twice in the past year to first repair our dryer and the second time to repair our ice maker. Both techs who came to our home were friendly, clean and on time. Communication was great and price of repairs were very reasonable. We will most certainly be contacting Telco any future needs.

After numerous service calls on our dishwasher, Telco was recommended as a last ditch effort to look at the motherboard and see if they could fix it rather than us having to replace it at the cost of about $400. For about $15 and in about 15 minutes they were able to solder a spot. Over a year later, and the dishwasher is still running great!! Thank you Telco!!

Contacted Telco due to my washer not working properly. We were still able to use our washer on one cycle. Technician came out and said computer board needed replaced. After his visit the door locked and we couldn't use our washer. Waited two weeks for the parts and another Technician came out. He said the computer is not the problem and wanted to replace the wiring harness. I said ok but I would still like the computer board replaced and the door lock sensor. He explained that the door will unlock once we hit start cycle. I tried multiple times and multiple ways. Nothing. Called today and I was told more parts were ordered that I did not know about. Also the door lock sensor was not the problem. So they did not replace it. This is the absolute worse experience I have had with a repair company. Just because I said I wanted all the parts replaced does not mean to add additional parts that were not discussed with me. Because of this, we are getting another company to work on our washer and I will gladly spend the 550 to have someone else fix it. Definitely would not recommend this company at all and will tell everyone I know not to go to them for any repairs.
Thanks for the refund. However, parts being ordered should be discussed even if it is just to be prepared. A business needs to communicate with customers about what to expect. I didn't even know the door lock sensor was being ordered until I called the office and asked. That was when it was mentioned the computer board was in but waiting on the sensor. Again, my washer worked on one cycle until the technician came out. We could have continued to use our washer on that one cycle until it was fixed. Not sure why the door locked and was unable to open it after the technician left. We have two babies and 8 adults. Laundromat are expensive for all of us. I would highly recommend better communication in the future. -
11/29 Update- they responded to the review then did a dirty delete for some reason.
Someone called my cell and said they worked here and then asked me to confirm my address. Up to this point I hadn’t heard back from Samsung and was not expecting anyone to come fix my television. I asked him why he would need me to confirm my address and he rudely replied “so we can come fix your tv” again it was his tone when replying and not what he said. I asked him not to take a tone with me as I was not expecting this call or any one to come and while I was speaking he hung up on me.
