Let me start by saying Ross' services were truly great and professional, I just felt the pricing was off. Our central AC unit wasn't blowing cold, so we looked around and came by the ad. It was determined that we most likely had a refrigerant leak and were completely out. I perceived the pricing suggested by Ross was the worst case scenario of a leak in the main coil system, so we just decided to go with the leak test & see if it was inside of the expense area.

Luckily the leak was in an easily accessible area and repairable, I was relieved. When almost finished, I inquired what the cost would be and then received the original price that I was under the impression was the worst case. I was quite shocked, to say the least.

I conveyed my pricing concerns to Ross and provided several national estimates from Google searches for the work of nitrogen leak detection, repair and R410a refrigerant refill. The end result of the final pricing was significantly above the highest and national averages of 2024 data, in my research from multiple, widely accepted organizations.

This could just be a regional cost issue but stings nonetheless. I would definitely suggest Ross' services but just be certain on the pricing beforehand, to prevent any regretful surprises.

5/28/24 - The repair has failed and now moving forward for full system replacement quotes. I'm even more frustrated about the inflated price I had paid.

Ross was absolutely amazing when it came to replacing my parents AC unit. He did a service call as their AC was having issues. He came back out and replaced their entire unit the same day! He was more than reasonably priced, did quality work and made sure everything was up and running by the early evening. Will definitely recommend Ross to everyone in the future!

Ross provides great service. He is honest, skilled, always on time, and never pushes unnecessary work. We use him to do our furnace and air-conditioning yearly maintenance. Recently our crawl space exhaust fan started making a strange noise. Ross responded quickly and got it fixed for a reasonable price.

Our old furnace started acting up right before Christmas. Ross installed our new system within a few days of accepting his bid. He is quick to respond, reasonably priced, and professional. Great customer service! We were very happy to have the new furnace installed before the January cold snap.

Ross was recommended to me when my family and I moved here in 2022. I like to have twice a year maintenance done on my system to maintain efficiency all year round. Ross is extremely thorough and honest with his services. I never feel he’s upselling on his recommendations. He comes out ready to address an issue no matter if it a scheduled visit or a last minute call. In this day and age, it’s hard to find specialty service people that truly have a passion for what they do. This review was not business prompted but entirely done by my choice. Highly recommend!

Just had my spring A/C check from Ross. As usual he was efficient and friendly. A few years ago we had Ross come out and fix our fireplace. I immediately turned to him each spring and fall to check my furnace and AC. Over my many years I have used other heating and cooling companies. Never again. Ross has expertise - and is honest. Ross' Heating and Cooling is a wonderful service! Ross arrived on time. He is very friendly and knowledgeable as well as extremely efficient and extra clean. Our fireplace was emitting a very wimpy flame. When he was done servicing it from head to toe, the flame was much improved. The fan was making a racket. He immediately knew what the problem was and had it humming softy in a less than a minute. Ross advertises "affordable" and his prices reflect it. He is VERY reasonable compared to a few other companies we called. He is not as booked out as other companies and was able to take care of our fireplace much sooner than the bigger companies. We just moved to Utah and have definitely found our go to HVAC service. Ross' mission statement is "One happy customer at a time". He definitely accomplished that at this house. I recommend him highly.

Ross provided excellent service and was transparent with his pricing. It is just Ross in the company. We requested a furnace tuneup, which this year cost $79. Ross helped us learn about our furnace parts and the concerns found from the inspection, which we really appreciated! We decided to go through his company to get a new furnace and AC. We found his pricing to be very reasonable. He accomplished it within the following week in 1 day, and it works great! We would happily hire Ross again. Thanks Ross!

Great experience! We were having problems with our heating system. I called and explained the issue, and had Ross at my house that day. He found the problem, and got us all taken care of. He explained what was wrong in a very clear way that we could understand. His pricing was very fair, and money well spent. He is definitely someone who can be trusted!! From the beginning I had an amazing experience with Peppy. I am going to be recommending to all with confidence. The service was unbeatable from the ease and speed of making an appointment to explaining my ac issues to Sammy that came out for the service. Communication was excellent. I was given a window of 9-11am and Sammy arrived to my house ready to go 8:50am which I appreciated very much. He was , polite, professional and listened to my long winded explanation of problem. He was thorough with all his checks, explained all his findings and suggested a fix. He was HONEST which is hard to find in home repair and didn’t try to upsell more than what he thought to be reasonable. He explained all the options and then worked quickly once we had agreed on what to do. He showed me the improved findings once he was done and wrapped up and even offered to help with other things I was doing around the house. I can’t say enough good about Sammy and my experience. Thank you so much! I will definitely be calling Peppy in the future and referring all my neighbors.

Had our 19 year old AC unit replaced with a heat pump and had an air scrubber installed. The guys did a great job, from start to finish. Rob came out and gave me about five different options of what we could do and replace depending on how much we wanted to spend and gave his recommendation for what he thought would work best for our situation (and that was what we ended up going with). Peppy’s prices were right in line with the other companies that we got quotes from, but it was the air scrubber they offered that pushed us over to them - it does more than just filter the air, it uses UV light to actually kill any organisms. The install went smoothly, and the guys cleaned up well after themselves. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Rob came out and was very attentive as to what our needs were. Luke, Kevin, Josh and Diego did an excellent job on installing our new A/C & furnace. Kevin was very helpful in explaining the new equipment.

Where other companies either misdiagnosed the issue or proposed fixes that wouldn’t have fully addressed it, Peppy got it right on both counts. I had a great experience using this company. I had a 20 year old furnace/ac with some do it yourself zoning from a previous owner. Which had custom baffles in the crawl etc. I priced out pretty much every company in the valley. Rob showed up professional, not pushy and answered every question I had. And trust me I am anal so that is saying alot. He came in at least 1k below everyone else and they install Trane which is an excellent brand if you want something reliable to last. They were also willing to match the 5 year labor warranty of Western Heating. Along with the 1 year of maintenance the others offer. Rob gave me all the options clearly and I knew he wasn't full of hot air as I had been researching the replacement for 3 years. Kevin and Jordan did the install they were extremely fast and I got a pro install. I really felt like Kevin cared and even though they were efficient he wasnt in a hurry to run away. Very clean I couldn't be happier. After the install I had a couple items I wasn't sure about, they sent Sammy over to address any questions which turned out to be normal codes showing on the furnace. But they were super cool about those things didnt make me feel like I was wasting their time. Every employee I worked with at Peppy were top notch. I just couldn't be happier with these guys I am glad I went with them.
