This past Sunday I noticed that my hose bibb was leaking continuously and I could not shut it off at all. So, I saw that Ultimate Heating and Air had high ratings, so I called on Sunday morning and spoke with the dispatcher. I received a call from them the very next morning and Phillp was at my house by 9am. Phillp asked what was wrong so I told him while in the backyard I heard this weird noise, so I looked around and noticed a leak coming from my hose bibb. He then checked the water pressure and found out the pressure was too high which is bad for the house and could at some point burst my water pipes. He then went into the crawl space and took pictures. He said the hose bibb was cracked and showed it to me saying that it needed to be replaced a new loop along with a new hose bib and that I replace the pressure reducer as well. He did a complete inspection everywhere making sure there was nothing else wrong. He let me know what the cost was, it was more than I could afford at that time because of medical issues with my daughter. I asked if there was something they could do like payments, he walked away to call his boss and came back letting me know that they could finance up to $1000 but had to be approved first, which I wasn’t because I max out everything I had. So, he left again and came back. I’ll tell you what he did everything he could to help me out so I could get this done so he walked over and told me that they would take care of the repairs and at no charge he applied for me for a giveaway fund that covered everything this is something his company does for people at times? He went out of his way to help me and did a great job with the repairs. He also reached out to Apel restoration and made sure they came out to my home to look at the damage and what they could do to help me. Phillp stayed until they arrived and explained to them what was wrong with the crawlspace and what he had replaced already. He was amazing. I was so grateful for everything he did to help me, he truly went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of and Ultimate Heating and Air that company is amazing they most definitely put their customers first and truly work with you to make sure you get what you need taken care of. I cannot say it enough that if for any reason that you need any plumbing, garbage disposal replaced, air conditioners and heater repairs this is the place to call, they give 150% to their customers.

I had all of my pumping replaced plus hot water heater. Pricy, but I’ve spent money on plumbers that didn’t solve problems for too many years. They were polite and hard working. Water issues cause major issues so I’m glad I found a company I could trust

Techs came to evaluate the 5 years old system, they measured several things which were in spec. Furnace was running great before they touched the system, afterwards it started cycle often before it reach the set temp. They did not fix it. They asked to change limit switch and flame sensor and want to charge over $300 forge system under warranty.

Aiden was great. He conducted a thorough evaluation of our HVAC system and explained our options for maintenance in a high level of detail. Timely and friendly service as well.

Connor came to inspect our water heater that was leaking. He was prompt, very professional. He walked through our options and pricing and explained everything very well. After the repair, he double checked everything was working and answered every question I had. Highly recommend.

We used Ultimate as they were the original HVAC installers when our house was built in 2016. After our AC capacitor failed in 2024 we started a maintenance plan with them which we renewed for another year earlier this week. However, with our most recent interactions we will no longer use Ultimate for our maintenance. They are using high-pressure sales tactics encourage full AC+Furnace replacements with a mid-range cost of $29,000 even when the units they want to replace are still under full manufacturer warranty and only showing signs of normal wear and tear. While I won’t call their business practices an outright scam, they’re misleading at best.

They checked our AC unit on 02/02 during a maintenance visit, though we have since learned that there isn’t much to test on an AC unit in the winter (when it isn’t running). The tech alerted us that our AC needed 2 immediate repairs; a Compressor & Contactor. They showed on a Megohmeter that our reading was the lowest it could measure and there was a red light next to the word “Bad”. They also said there were signs of heat stress on our furnace and showed a photo on their phone but did not include the photo in any of the reports. They said we could do immediate repairs to the AC for ~$5k with future repairs to the furnace for ~$3k and suggested we have a “Comfort Specialist” come out to talk about our options. Later that day the specialist informed us the refrigerant our system uses (r410a) is no longer produced as of 2025 w/ cascading effects on long term maintenance costs and would require us to replace both the AC and furnace at the same time. Further, they shared that the original systems were not well suited to our home (single stage AC unit for dual zone home and too large of furnace) ..reminder, Ultimate was the original installer. We were told it was not under warranty until we pushed back, they then confirmed that while it is under warranty it doesn’t apply in this scenario because the components aren’t actually broken. There were a number of high-pressure sales tactics used in this meeting, and while they may be true on technicality there is no denying their function is to stress the consumer into an immediate response. 1: Manufacturer price increases. Another 6-10% increase already coming but not reflected in their current pricing. Purchasing ASAP we could avoid this increase. 2: Repairs are not encouraged because the refrigerant is no longer produced, parts will only continue to be in higher demand as scarcity sets in leading to ever-increasing maintenance costs. 3: They would be able to get a great deal if we took the next available install date because they have crews waiting to work. Ultimate was willing to give us a ~$4k discount if we decided that night. We were told there was no guarantee that deal could last if we waited.

We got a 2nd opinion from a local family-owned company. We spent the entire visit with the technician who explained every step and showed us what they were looking for. They did not see any damage beyond normal wear and tear, and said they would come back during the summer to test our AC unit. Perhaps the most disappointing, the tech found that our furnace is missing a Discharge Air Temperature (DAT) Sensor which prevents the furnace from overheating and shuts the gas off as a safety. Considering dual zone homes like ours usually have a DAT and our furnace is too large for the home there is a genuine risk of overheating. I am shocked the original installers (Ultimate) chose to forgo safety measures. While the specialist did inform us they were at the hands of the builder, I don’t feel great about a company that is comfortable making these concessions and then calling to collect 10 years later when units are at risk of failing early due to those very concessions. Ultimate employees were all nice, but the company strategy appears to be prioritizing short-term profits over customer relationships. Whether this is related to a private equity firm investing in Ultimate in 2022 I can’t say, but I certainly wonder.

When they were family owned they were fantastic, now that they’re corporate, they are ran by a Las Vegas company that expects Las Vegas sales numbers, they train the people here on how to scam you. For example, “your system is 8 years old and only have 2 years of warranty left. you should consider replacing your system, I can get you a home comfort specialist out for a free estimate”. Google says a furnace should last around 20 years with frequent maintenance. But this company wants you to replace it after every 10 years cause it’s out of warranty. I guess you should buy a new car as soon as the warranty expires too. This place is so bad with expecting techs to do business in a grey area “ not a lie but not the full truth “ that 90% of the service techs from 2 years ago are not there anymore and the nicest salesman “ Chris with nice legs “ had to quit. The company was selling Bryant cause it is a premium product, parts don’t go bad as often as others, now they offer products that are known to go bad more often so you call and spend more $ to replace those parts. Please…. get a second opinion from another company before get ripped off and report issues to the BBB. Also, the review replies are not from the owner as the owner is a corporate entity.

“ Our local management team here in Meridian personally reads and responds to every review”

this is exactly the point I was making. Being more misleading. When you google your reviews, every reply you give says (owner) as if the company owner is personally replying.

Brandon Day was GREAT! He was very helpful and informative. We were very happy, but we just found the Lennox part online for considerably less and is an easy installation for a DIY job. I thank you all VERY, VERY much!

Sergey did a great job fixing our heater. He explained the process and took lots of pictures and videos to let me understand the issues. He did the repair and appraised me of a couple of issues that could be taken care of later. He is a very pleasant person.

We had a sudden leak of our water heater and needed some emergency help. Connor came out, evaluated the entire situation quickly, gave us the options we needed, and proceeded to start the process of replacement and repair. We highly recommend these services.

Guys who came were prompt and nice. Communicated well and I’m sure based on what they are supposed to do, they did that.

The actual “service” offered by the company was an upsell technique by the company to try and get you signed up on a monthly maintenance plan or sell massively expensive cleanings. I would think in the come on out and inspect the system…vacuuming dust out of a fan shouldn’t be an additional $200 charge. Based on my previous purchase and maintenance plan, this “service” only cost $20, and they did put in a new filter.l, but nothing else done.

Honestly, felt this wasted $$$ and multiple hours of my day. Again, the technician’s were fine and just doing their job.

I had a gas leak from my furnace, Josh came out in a timely manner to see if he could fix the bad gas valve. My unit is old, been knowing I was going to have to eventually replace the whole thing, but was hoping we could just get the valve fixed for now. Josh was very thorough took pictures of my whole unit told me he could fix it, but seeing how the unit was old, it had other issues that would need attention soon. He did not pressure me whatsoever in buying a new unit, however, after punching numbers and realizing it made more sense to go ahead and purchase one. He sat with me and went over my options and explained how each one worked I feel I got a fair price for the new unit, I will definitely be using this company again along with referring them. I give them a 10 out of 10 thank you Josh you were a pleasure to work with.

Not a good or positive experience. My tankless hot water heater has tripped an error code a few times in the past couple of months and from the code I knew that my ignition/flame sensor needed to be either cleaned or replaced. I scheduled a service call and provided this information and I again explained it face to face to the technician that came to my home. He spent some time looking at my system and then presented me with 3 options— 1 was to replace my Tankless Water Heater, the second was to replace my Water Heater and my water softener system and the third was to run a diagnostic test of my system through the manufacturer of my Water Heater for several hundred dollars—I felt confident that the issue had already been diagnosed via the error code that was provided—and then go about addressing the issues that were identified. All I wanted was to address the error code by cleaning or replacing my ignition/flame sensor. The technician was courteous and punctual but we made zero progress on my issue and I feel that the process was just a waste of my time and money.

This was Brandon’s second visit. He was very diligent with explaining everything he was doing to set our system on a successful preventative maintenance path. I am confident moving forward that his work helps to ensure prolonged service life for all our HVAC equipment. Thank you very much for sending him back out, since he already had familiarity and was able to further extend continuity of his customer relationship.

Ultimate Heating and Air installed my system when my house was built eight years ago. Approximately two months ago they started calling me regularly offering a free system inspection. I scheduled an appointment. For the inspection plus another small repair. The technician was great and provided a quote for repairs of $3500-$7000. He then offered to send a “climate advisor“ out for a quote on a furnace (and entire new system) ranging from $7000-$24,000!!! I felt it was An attempt with high pressure sales tactics. He even told me it was “odd” that I would get quotes from 2-3 other companies!

Ultimate is no longer a small local company. They are owned by a large corporate entity out of town. I’ve heard many other stories similar to mine. I went with a smaller local HVAC company and had my furnace replaced and a smart-thermostat installed and saved thousands!
