Plumbing reviews in Aurora, Illinois

I had water and sewage backup comimg from my shower. Mitchell was great. He came to my house twice. Both times in a timely manner, super friendly and respectful. He explained the whole process. He spent a lot of time getting to the root of the problem and didn't leave until he made sure everything was good. He was able to get my house running again until repairs can be done. I would highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter thanks to Leonard and Levi. Leonard was the plumber who completed the work, and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to make sure everything was done right and left the area clean afterward.
Levi, the supervisor, was also fantastic — he clearly explained what was going on, walked us through the issue, and helped us understand the best options to resolve it. Having someone explain things in a straightforward way really made the whole situation less stressful.
Overall, excellent service, great communication, and a team that truly cares about helping their customers. I would definitely recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to call again if needed. -
We had a catastrophic failure of the cast iron sewer pipe exiting the house on a late Friday night. None of the toilets or sinks would drain. The salesperson from Roto Rooter came quickly after I phoned them on Saturday to assess the problem and give me a repair price. The issue was a broken cast iron sewer line exiting the house at the foundation. It sheared in two pieces and became clogged. Monday morning, Roto Rooter arrived on site. They needed to dig an 8 foot deep X 4 foot wide X 8 foot long hole under the porch to access the failed cast iron pipe. They had to cut out concrete stoop as well. They removed the failed pipe and replaced it with a new PVC pipe. They pulled all permits and arranged for a city inspection. We were able to use our water Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning, they filled in the hole and cleaned up. The cleanup was fantastic. If you didn't know what happened the day before, you would have never known they were there. It was a big job that required a large backhoe and many service techs to make the repair. The supervisor Brandon M. did a fantastic job along with the sales associate Kyle and the rest of the crew. The finished site was professionally cleaned. My neighbors commented on how well the guys cleaned up.

Our old (and only) toilet had not been working right for a couple months (partial flushes, tank running, etc). It finally got completely stopped up and started overflowing and we couldn't plunge it out! Roto- Rooter to the rescue!
Our Technician, Marc, was great! He arrived within 3-4 hours of my call, diagnosed the problem quickly, and gave me possible solutions and estimates for the work before starting.
Marc augered toilet and replaced some old parts in a timely fashion. He got our old potty working better than it had before. Plus, he left the bathroom clean and tidy too -- Hooray!
It was expensive but worth it for the quick, friendly service. -

Very professional, prompt, courteous, I had a three day job for two plumbers in a old 2 flat house,
Each day they cleaned up and were on time and worked the entire day, if you ever need a plumber this is the company to call. -
Brian was punctual, professional and very personable. He did a great job with installing our kitchen faucet.

Michels is always very courteous and efficient. I always feel like we are receiving the most beneficial work and that they have our needs at the heart of their work.

They were fantastic at completing some improvements and issues at my home. They were on time and very clean with their work, which is very important. It is a locally owned family business that I would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the great work!

Have had Brian complete 3 projects in the last couple of years and the end result is always superb. Thanks again to Katie, Matt, and Brian for being very helpful and kind.

They charged nearly $500 and did not fix anything. It took 2.5 hours to determine that a vent was an exhaust pipe and not anything to do with plumbing. Any other plumber would have charged a service fee of $75 for the trip out.

I've had Michels handle a couple issues at our house, from clearing a root in our sanitary to trenching a sump connection to the storm sewer. The employees are very professional and the work is high quality.

Michels Plumbing is a great company to deal with. The cost for my repair was exactly what they quoted, and they were there on the day and time they said they would be. I highly recomend Michels Plumbing!!!

Had a leaking bathroom sink (also missing a sink pop-up stopper) fixed by this plumbing company. The appointment was set up by the spouse without my knowledge (complicated story). Guy was probably on-time and provided a good enough job (probably a very easy work for him). The only thing I find not right is the labor cost of $141/hour and the guy only did the work for a good 20 minutes. $141/hour??? Whoa! Plumbers are more expensive than a medical personnel? What the $$$$! Bill came to $173.90 including new parts of $30. That goes to show why DIY for small stuff is a necessary component for any homeowners. Come to find out, the leak was caused by a loose plastic screw cap that relates to the pop-up stopper portion of the plumbing underneath the sink. When he merely tightened it, it stopped leaking. To be fair, we were given a choice to either have it fixed or not but since the spouse wanted a sink pop-up stopper (not gonna argue) and he was already there, he replaced the whole top portion of the plumbing including a new pop-up stopper that comes with the whole part set-up. He did confirm that parts installed in newly built houses are the cheapest versions -the new part he replaced is made of brass and is more durable in the long run than the plastic one. As a customer who isn't handy and for obvious reasons where the service is quite on the expensive end, I asked him a few questions that relates to me doing it DIY instead to the other 2 bathroom sinks (not yet leaking but also missing a pop-up sink stopper). As expected, his answers were enough to tell me that he wanted to protect the business. I end up going to Menards and found 2 magnetic pop-up stoppers for $20/piece and did a DIY on the other 2 sinks. It took me 20-30 mins of work on each sink. All in all, saves me at least $288 in a professional labor cost. A piece of advice, DIY any household stuff that can be done watching YouTube how-to videos. Only unless necessary, then have a professional deal with it and ask for a quote in advance.

Everyone here is wonderful and easy to work with! I would never use any other plumber!!!
We have had quite a few projects for them, and they have done a wonderful job with everything! Top quality work! -
I Highly recommend this company. They have done work for us over the years and they are very knowledgeable and just great to do business with. We just had the pipes in our 100 plus year old house that run from the basement up through the wall to the second story bath replaced. If you live in an older home there is no-one imho that comes close to having the knowledge that Joe and his team have. They have seen and fixed it all.
