Be cautious with Arzet Heating & Air, especially during heatwaves when your AC fails. When my condo's AC went out, I called them to fix it. They told me the run capacitor needed replacing and quoted $625 for the job - an initial price that seemed steep, but worth paying if it meant getting the air running again.

However, just a few hours later, my AC stopped producing cold air altogether. Back they came, this time telling me I had a freon leak that required fixing. They presented three options:

1) Recharge freon and add a leak stopper for $1100.
2) Conduct a leak test and repair the leak while adding freon for $1700.
3) Replace the entire system for $5200.

Given the unit was 11 years old, I opted for option two. After spending about two hours conducting the leak test, they concluded the leak must be inside the wall - beyond their capabilities to fix. To add insult to injury, they'd also install a leak stopper on top of the freon recharge, increasing the price by $275. As a result, I ended up paying $1975 instead of the cheaper option.

When I expressed my concern about this discrepancy in the invoice to the company, I was told a manager would respond by the end of the day. Unfortunately, no one ever got back to me. What I did pay - $2600 - is roughly half the cost of a brand new system for what essentially amounts to a routine service call. Save yourself thousands by calling someone else; that's my advice.
