Verne Romine rescued me when I was living in Fort Wayne. Back then, a neighbor sabotaged my condenser's coolant line, and this is when my homeowner's insurance says that they won't cover the HVAC system because it's older than my dad, and I'm no spring chicken. That was a Labor Day weekend, and being a wheelchair jockey on really low and sole income meant I didn't have the extra to bring an HVAC mechanic out. Verne found me a really good deal on a far more modern high efficiency HVAC system and busted his hump on a seriously hot day installing the entire system, then sticking around to make sure it was working right. He then helped me with a payment plan that didn't include any overcharges, despite the holiday weekend. When I sold that house, the buyers told me that they were impressed with the HVAC system, which keep the top floor of a 2-story house as cool as the first floor, and kept the ground and top floors toasty all through the winter.

Here we are, on a Labor Day weekend three years later in my new home, and my entire HVAC system *died*. No sounds, lights, movement, nothing. All the same stats as before, but now I live 2 hours away from Fort Wayne. 90 degrees outside, and my dogs and I were panting, getting sick from the heat. I'm panicking, wondering about the freaky coincidence, and "can I afford this". Verne comes to my rescue again, but this time, it's just a bad thermostat and the furnace needs a new filter and filter insert frame installed. Verne showed me how to use my new thermostat and billed me through the mail so that my insurance can pick up the tab. I'm currently sitting in a comfortably cool home with my dogs sprawled out on the hardwood parts of my floor napping peacefully. Words are not enough, but, Thank You Verne Romine of Ro-Mech Mechanical. You literally saved our lives in our time of need, and you've always been kind, professional, and ethical every visit. You are the gold standard of your industry, and I'm a forever loyal customer.

I had an issue with my furnace last year and after a couple guys, my rental company got Verne out to fix it. It was finally fixed and running great. Then this winter my power flickered on and off, until it went off for 3 hrs. I think it messed up my furnace, he came out and got it all taken care of. Very professional, reliable and knowledgeable. I will go with this technician any day or night for my future furnace needs whether it be at this location or a future house that I purchase.
