I rarely post reviews but after experience with Freedom H&C I had too. After the great storm of June 2022 took out my power it also killed my thermostat. Great right?! Had to be on the first few days of summer with 90+ degree temps. Have what I thought was a call to JF Miller who installed all my HVAC when the house was built less than 3 years ago and Freedom answered. Hmm they must have bought out JF Miller. Was able to get an appointment for the same day. Phil from Freedom H&C was polite, professional, and to the point on his diagnoses. From there he gave us several options in a variety of price ranges, explained the pros and cons, and made a recommendation on what he would use in his own home. There was no pressure and he made every effort to make sure I had no questions. Once we picked our option he got to work and got us fixed up.

This was hands down the smoothest experience I've had on a home repair.

Got a quote for a job from Freedom. They quoted $1900 to repair my water furnace and $700 each for 2 shut off valves. They also recommended that I needed a new furnace. The cost of having them show up and look at my furnace and 10 min look over was $360.00. I purchased the valves myself for $157 each and did the repairs for myself for a total of $314.00. The inflated quote for parts and urging me to replace the entire unit was shady at best. I do not recommend Freedom and I strongly urge others to investigate their quotes.

They replaced my old water heater. They came to the house within one hour after talking to Hedi at the office. Toby the owner show up and was very nice, and we agreed on price. At first the earliest to replace could take up to 2-3 days than Toby ask me did I have hot water I said no and Toby was on the phone making arrangements to get it done that day and I had hot water that same day. How great is that for service, thank you Freedom Heating & Plumbing. TA Thiel

Both of our showers were leaking and I called Freedom and Toby came out to give me an estimate. We had a previous plumber say it was the shower valve and the head. Toby said it was just the shower heads on both showers. Someone came out to fix them both and the shower was still leaking the first time we used it. They sent the technician back out and I was charged $200 for them to tell me it was in fact the shower valve! I called the office for some clarification on the unreasonable charge and it took Toby 3 weeks to call me back! Then he was going to come out and make sure it was the valve and schedule it to get repaired. Never called and never showed up. This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen!

Very disappointed. Spent a large amount of money for a new geothermal unit and started having problems. Called about the issue and they said it wasn't cooling because of the outside heat. They did not return my call. A few days later there was an error code and it wasn't cooling at all. They did not return call until I called the emergency number and they walked me through the reset. Called again a couple of days later because no one had called. They could not get to me for at least three more days and that was the earliest even though I am a "blue" member and just spent so much money on the system. Error code again. Again they did not return my call. I called again later that day. I was sold the system as there was a "remote" way for them do diagnose. No one knew what that was or even how to use it! They did walk me through the reset AGAIN. They finally came out and determined it was something to do with a box that they didn't have the part to replace when they replaced the whole system. They would order the part and reschedule. Still no call back! When this was local company I had no problem getting someone immediately. They say this is 24 hour service but it isn't. They also told me that because I was more than 30 miles away I wouldn't be a priority. The technicians were polite but they need more people and need to be more responsive. Terrible response time.

Did not know they took over the company I had install my units. They sent Ryan out and he was very professional and knowledgeable, explaining everything to me. Then since they took over the other company, they honored my warrantee which could have been costly. I would recommend them to all my friends and also signed up for their service program!

They were great! Jaime was so helpful in helping me choose the right system for my home and my budget. He was very informative on the different models and benefits of the models they offered. Brad and Brian did a great job installing the new units and getting everything up and running. They were helpful and explained differences between my old unit and the new one, since they look different. They were easy to get in contact with and very professional. Being a single woman it's not always easy figuring these kind of things out but overall it was a great experience!

Honestly one of the most pleasent experiences I have ever had with a company that has performed work on my home. Toby was very friendly and explained everything so I could understand what I was paying for when I purchased my furnace. The technicians were on time and did an excellent job installing the furnace and the thermostat. They also cleaned up everything when they were finished and made sure I understood everything with the new thermostat. I would highly recommend going to freedom for anything you need.

First time using Freedom Heating & Plumbing. They scheduled my furnace tune-up the next day. Paul the technician was very knowledgeable, professional and took the time to clean and inspect my furnace. Definitely will be doing business with them again and highly recommended.

I took advantage of Freedom Heating & Plumbing's Furnace Tune Up Special. I was serviced by Paul and Jack. They were very thorough in explaining the service involved and answered all of the questions I asked. They also offered many useful suggestions on how to maintain and get the best performance from my heating unit. They were very professional in every way. In closing, I was very impressed with Freedom H&P. Good job, guys!

Had a blower failure on a Sunday so no A/C. Waited until Monday morning the next day contacted the office. Leo arrived quickly and replaced a warrantied part. Replaced it quickly and a great price! From Calling to replacement of the part was all very courteous and customer service was excellent.
    Highly recommend! Leo was great!

Very unhappy with the service I received and I will never use Roto Rooter again. Charged me for an incomplete job. They don’t keep any kind of records on customers to look back and see what the last technician did at the pier visit. I feel like the technician just didn’t want to do his job or was looking to make more money than he already stole from me. The technician also had a very fowl mouth and my kids were home and heard his nasty language! Shameful very shameful!!!

When I noticed that my hot water heater was going out, I made several calls to find a plumber to replace the old one. Freedom was the only plumber that answered and followed through. They were very knowledgeable and gave me several options to choose from. They helped me make a sound decision on a tankless hot water heater. They were very professional, prompt, and thorough. When the crews came out for the install they took the time to do it right, they fixed any plumbing that would have caused leaks in the future, just to make sure every detail was correct they followed up with a final walk through the following weak. If you want a quality product and excellent service, with out any worry if the job was done correctly, I would highly recommend Freedom! I could not be happier.

Several years ago, we built our home, and Freedom Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing was the contractor our builder worked with to handle the HVAC and plumbing installations. We recently discovered a serious and unacceptable issue with the dryer vent installation—one that poses a major safety hazard and shows a disturbing lack of professionalism.

A few days ago, our dryer’s warning light came on indicating a clogged vent. We cleaned the duct thoroughly from both the inside and outside using a special brush, but the warning light stayed on. Concerned, my husband went into the attic to inspect the ductwork and found something alarming.

While examining the insulated duct, he noticed one section that was unusually soft. Upon removing the insulation (which consisted only of soft material wrapped in nylon), we discovered that about an inch and a half of actual duct pipe was completely missing. It appears that during the original installation, your team ran short on materials and chose to “connect” the gap using only the nylon-insulated wrap—with no pipe, no connector, and absolutely no proper airflow path.

This is not only a grossly unprofessional shortcut, but a serious fire hazard. The only reason we discovered this was because we recently had internet cables installed in the attic. Some insulation was shifted during the cable installation, and when the nylon-wrapped section was pressed down, airflow was restricted—triggering the dryer’s warning light.

This is a blatant violation of safety standards. Dryer vents must be fully enclosed in solid ductwork, and never patched together with flammable materials like nylon wrap. If left undiscovered, this could have easily resulted in a fire, putting our family and home at risk.

We are extremely disappointed that a licensed company would allow something this negligent to happen. Homeowners should never have to discover critical safety issues years later because of lazy or careless installation practices. We also urge your team to review other jobs completed during the same timeframe, as we fear this may not be an incident.

P.S. My husband purchased a piece of duct to replace the missing section, and once it was properly installed, the warning light on the dryer turned off immediately.

We had your company out to service our AC today and were amazed by the good service we got from your employee, Monty. He was so much more into giving full service than previous servicemen from other companies. Polite, confident, knowledgable. Just wanted you to know he is a great employee and speaks well for your business..
