Godby saves the day! Our usual service company totally failed us on some electrical repairs. Godby came out and helped us avoid an electrical fire. They identified several errors and code violations in how the work was incorrectly completed by the other contractor. They helped explain and photograph the issues and this was a big help. They then prioritized getting us electrical again. They did a safe temporary repair and were out here the next business day to correct the issue. The other company wanted a week to fix their mistake. Not only did they come in and correct the issues created by the other contractor (full panel replacement), they upgraded the panel and fixed the prior contractors error for substantially less than other companies wanted just to get us back to status quo. Our techs, Francisco and Jorge, worked late to get the job complete and when an outlet my wife uses wouldn’t come on, they stayed even later to fix it. No additional charge. The original job was to upgrade outlets for my woodshop. They labeled all the plugs, put everything on separate breakers, and made sure there was cushion for upgrades and changes. It was just the perfect touch. This was the best experience we could have had considering the terrible situation we were in. Highly recommend.

Tyree came out to help with a leaking pipe in my basement ceiling. Despite the plumbing being way more complicated than it needed to be or we originally expected, he was able to get the leak fixed.

If you are interested in purchasing a natural gas back up generator, I would recommend considering Godby’s. The entire package from choosing right generator that fit our needs to the two day installation, their entire crew were knowledgeable in their specific field, professional, polite and easy to talk to. I am also impressed with their customer service so far. Jorge has been our electrical technician since the installation of our generator. His knowledge and professionalism is outstanding. If you are considering installing a backup generator, you would do well to contact Godby in your search.

They replaced my heat pump on Friday afternoon, it quit working that evening. They DO NOT have 24 hour service, they use an answering service in northern Illinois after hours. Best the answering service could do was send an email that someone might see on Monday morning. No assistance at all and no heat during the middle of winter.

Our 35 yr old furnace unfortunately went down but exceeded it's suspected life by many yrs. Godby came over to inspect but determined the existing unit might not be safe. New furnace was ordered & installed within 17hrs. Repairmen & sales all were exceptionally nice people.
The only bad vibe was the financing. If I went less payments the interest rate was 18%!!
Going long payments the interest was 9%. We chose the latter.
Good experience overall in a bad situation. Godby was quick, & thorough knowing we were in an emergency situation in a cold house.
I would choose Godby again but have my own financing next time not theirs.

My experience with Godby was very good! I got to them through YELP. I put in a request for electrical help and it was sent out to multiple companies. Godby was one of the companies that responded quickly and had someone who could come today!! They have good communication. They were upfront about the cost and what it applied to. My technician arrived within the time frame I was given from the main office. Tino was polite, patient, offered to wear shoe covers, was efficient and checked my breakers. He took care with safety and gave excellent customer service. I got 5 star service on a small job.

B&W are great to work with. Especially “Plumber Dave” and Jeffrey helped us work through some tough issues and had good suggestions for keeping our plumbing system in perfect condition.

Homesense has always been professional, courteous and informative during all visits - whether they be maintenance or issue-related. I typically have Darren as my tech and he is so patient with all my questions and always makes sure I understand the problem before giving options to resolve it. I have never felt pressured to do any "fix" and I always feel they truly are invested in my best interest.

No heat since sunday. Was told a part would be ordered Monday, it is Wednesday night and we cannot get a hold of them and they have not given me or my landlord an update (I believe customer service 101 from any company means you kind of keep the customer informed on what’s going on especially with big issues).

so just be careful using these guys because they have been very good to us in the past, but they’ve been cold turkey on this big-time issue this time around. What is crazy? This is not like their typical character so a little bit surprised on this one.

Getting to 60 inside at night for 4 consecutive nights, feels like I’m camping and my dog does not appreciate it since she has very short hair.

Bruce Carpenter helped me figure out my 3-way smart dimmer switch installation for my basement. He was efficient and helped me understand why my attempt did not work. He is a personable guy.

I received a quick response and after hour visit from Plummer Dave. He was very thorough when assisting my son with finding the water shut off valve due my water heater started leaking water from the upper floor into garage. He provided excellent customer service.

The young lady was prompt, professional, and incredibly kind while checking our heater. She explained everything clearly and made the whole experience smooth and reassuring. Truly customer focused highly recommended B&W company!

Great company that not only says they care about their customers but shows it. With an 1890s home, I find very few places I want to work with or will commit the time to work on our home requires. B&W far exceed my expectations with clear communications and working on the project until it was done right. Even resolving issues left behind from previous owners and contractors who clearly did the care minimum. Thank you, B&W!

I was able to get a same day appointment. Service was prompt and swift. The technician Mitchell was pleasant and polite. Price was reasonable. Very pleased.

Bruce, the electrician from B & W installed 4 ceiling fans for us. He did a great job & kept me posted during the process like where the remote holders should go. He especially did a good job with the fan on a cathedral ceiling that had to be modified.

Kameron came out to check out my furnace which was not working. Kameron was very thorough and explained what he found and made sure I understood his diagnosis.
I would definitely give Kameron a 5 star review; best technician I have had service my furnace.

Today, B&W Plumbing serviced my home. I cannot praise them enough. Professional, fantastic workmanship, fair and honest pricing. Thank for your service! Andy was very professional and personable. I have been a customer for many years. I stated with Airmaster over twenty years ago. Then they were bought out by HomeSense and now it’s B&W HomeSense. I recently learned though that Airmaster is still in business. Funny how that works.

Very average experience. The tech was great. The office was misleading. When I tried to ask for a reasonable price, I was told they couldn’t do it because the service had already been started.The service was way overpriced for what we received. They did not have filters on the truck, so I have to go buy them.The price was 125% more than another group that I use from time to time. I won’t be coming back.

Blake showed up on the earlier end of the appointment window and was very professional and friendly. He diagnosed the issue with our furnace quickly and offered us plenty of options. He worked quickly and got us up and running in no time. Very satisfied with his workmanship and service.
