They were timely with their estimate and came in with the best quote in comparison to the other two heating and cooling companies I called. Communication on the install date and when they were en route was very good. Install went well even though we had to work through some electrical work and they came back to make sure that everything was connected correctly. I would work with them again in the future. I’m not sure where to start!

On a Wednesday, July 2nd, my AC quit. The weekend temperatures were planned to be in the mid to upper 90’s, with “feel like” temps around 100F.

I called two companies to get on their “emergency wait list”, it could have been 2 to 48 hours for a response. I then called DSM Heating and Cooling. What, someone can be here tonight?! My response to that, I’ll be here!

Now, I must preface this with the fact that I read review after review about DSM Heating and Cooling and about Sergio. What a great guy, super knowledgeable, etc etc! Deep down I was hoping Sergio would show up at my door, and there he was!

Sergio diagnosed my 34 yo AC unit, he told me he could probably get it working, no guarantees and could be a waste of money. Let’s see, 34 yo unit, it still takes R22 and over the years, I had already replaced the fan/motor 3 times. Sergio gave me a couple prices for a new unit,. Sergio called “the boss” to check if I bought a new unit, they could squeeze me in on Thursday, July 3rd, that’s NEXT DAY! Done deal!

Thursday arrives, Mike and Armando show up at a time that should have been the end of their day, just before the holiday weekend! Mike informs me “the boss” will be showing up with the new equipment!. Mike and Armando dug in and started ripping out the old until and working on the A-Coil replacement in the furnace room. Justin arrives with the new equipment, not only did he bring the new equipment, he stayed and helped with the install!

Who agrees to do an AC replacement, the day before the holiday, starting at a time when other companies were probably wrapping up for the day?? This Company does!!

I can’t say enough good things about this great company! They aren’t your BIG corporately owned company, so they understand great customer service!

Shout out to Sergio, Mike, Armando and Justin! I appreciate all you did to squeeze me in and get my dinosaur unit replaced with newer technology!

I have to say that this was great service. Called for service on Friday for service and they were here on Monday as scheduled. Sergio was our service man and was excellent! Very professional, knowledgable and quick to find our problem. Quite honestly, I was impressed enough to sign up for their annual service plan on site. Thank you Sergio and Des Moines Heating & Cooling! Top notch service!! Highly recommend!!!!

Cole is great he just help me with my insurance paperwork and now I'm sending it it the insurance to get the work started. Part 2 cole came out and did his job great got it in done in no time and was professional and great personality was great about to sign up for the yearly cleaning of the HVAC system and have Cole and Des monies heating and cooling back for that when the time comes thank again Cole and Des Moines heating and cooling.

This is a fantastic company with GREAT employees. They were very knowledgeable and super polite. I could tell my home was giving a ton of problems but the team i had smiled and pushed forward. Sergio was very friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of my home. He was efficient with his inspection and gave me a few options for repairs/replacement. He was quick to answer my questions and I ended up choosing to replace the units, to my surprise they were able to schedule an install in 2 days. I'm very pleased with my experience with Sergio and DMHC, I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Post-Installation. The crew that came out did awesome job. I'm very satisfied with their service and the entire experience. They were respectful of my home and cleaned up any mess/debris. They made sure I knew I how work the new thermostat.

After the most frightening long Iowa storm weekend with no heat in the home and -14 degree temps, Sergio arrived within an hour from initial contact, replaced the part on the furnace and thermostat to restore heat. He was professional, kind, explained the process and as a single female there was not a moment I felt uncomfortable alone in the home with him. I can not sing the praises of Des Moines Heating and Cooling enough. Thank you, Sergio!

Sergio was amazing and found every way to work with me and find the solution! Grateful he came out. She was so thorough and took lots of time to talk to my home warranty and explain every step and every cost in every step of the way!

Wonderful service came quickly when our furnace was broken on an icy January day. Used a camera to show us the cracks in the furnace, explained everything well and helped us replace the unit for a reasonable price.

Sergio did a great job working way past 8 o’clock at night to get me back up and running. He certainly deserves a good raise for masterful workmanship.

Justin came out the evening before Thanksgiving and fixed my heater, it’s an old unit and he didn't try to push for me to get a whole new unit like other companies would have.He was absolutely wonderful and professional He was very respectful and understanding! I definitely will be using this company for here on out.
