We recently moved into our new house and ran into some issues with our AC, Dayton showed up shortly after calling and fixed the problem the same day. To ensure there weren’t future problems they continued to check twice after that. Both service professionals they sent out were very respectful, and professional. We were worried about how expensive services were and they worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were taken care of and we didn’t have to stress. I would recommend Dayton to anyone who needs heating or cooling services 100%!

Dayton Heating and Cooling was great to work with! Nick was very prompt to give us a reasonable quote and the service was provided in a very timely manner. The installation crew was professional, friendly, and did a great job! Our new AC unit, furnace, and thermostat have been working perfectly. I would highly recommend Dayton to everyone!

We just had a mini split system installed by Dayton yesterday. The tech Austin and Austin both are very professional and friendly. We had a few quote and Dayton has the best price by $500. The owner was very professional when he came out to do the quote and was very honest. If we have any problems or need something heating and cooling install, we will call them back out again and we recommend Dayton to our family and friends for sure.

We got fast efficient workers that left our home very clean Cloths were placed on our floors to protect. The 3 men Axil, Jesus, Willie arrived at time we were told they would be here and completed job at they expected time.
They explained how to work the new thermostat.

Dayton Heating and Air Conditioning installed a Mitsubishi hyper heat pump intelligent system for us. Our first contact with the business was with Nick, the sale rep. He provided us with information and a timely quote without pressure tactics. The cost of the purchase of the product was lower than other quotes we received. We accepted the quote and the installation was completed in a timely way and the quality of the work was excellent. We are extremely pleased with results. Nick has followed up with us to check and see how everything was working. We strongly recommend Dayton Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone who is thinking about installing a heat pump. All individuals connected with the business were professional, respectful, and courteous.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dayton. We worked with Dayton to install a new mini split in our office and worked with a separate electrician to do the electrical work. The electrician installed the wrong voltage though, so when the mini split was turned on it fried the unit. While we had to work it out with the electrician, Dayton worked with us to purchase a new unit and got it installed very quickly. From the first time we called them to get a quote to the very end after the final install, they were responsive, respectful, considerate and friendly--everyone. Many thanks to the Dayton team. We highly recommend them.

Had a new water installed and everything was great. The price was lower and more fair than other companies I spoke. I was able to get a quote and schedule everything over email with someone who was super helpful. Then the techs were very professional, got the work done, and made sure to talk me through anything and ask if I had any questions. If you are working with one of those other big companies, I would make sure to check with Dayton to see if you are getting a fair price.

Great local company. Found the issues with our AC and went through our options with full transparency. Really appreciated the honestly but they also did a great job installing our new unit. Everything from the initial service calls to the full install was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Absolutely no surprises.

We used Dayton to replace our water heater, they provided excellent fast service! The techs who did the installation were very friendly and knowledgeable! We will be using them to replace our furnace and ac also!

I had Dayton install a new HVAC system (AC & Furnace) approx. 4 years ago. They sized both systems perfectly and I've had no major issues since install.
The minor changes/updates/issues I've needed since, service has always been professional and there appears to be very little turn over of employees so it seems to be a very well run business .

All quotes i've received from Dayton have been very reasonable and fairly priced.

We can’t say THANK YOU enough to this company and their amazing employees from our initial call to the install of our new furnace. Our old furnace literally burned up during early morning December 5th, the salesman was here within 3 hours and they worked diligently to make sure we had heat before the weekend! The office staff, salesman, technicians, owners, absolutely everyone we worked with were so personable and friendly. We have used Dayton in the past and they will continue to be our go to for all our future heating and cooling needs. We highly recommend Dayton!!

If I could give this company 10 stars I would. I called to get my air conditioner, repaired or replaced and every person I came in contact with was very friendly and went over and above to help me out. The price was very good to replace my central air unit. I would highly recommend this company. You can tell this is a small company and they care about their customers and don’t overcharge.

I was truly impressed with the level of detail and professionalism provided during today’s service visit. The tech went above and beyond, taking care of things my previous provider never addressed. Everything is running beautifully, and I really appreciate the thoroughness and care shown.

A Master Plumber friend of mine strongly suggested I contact Dayton for my HVAC needs so I hired Dayton to install a new Mini Split AC in a commercial building. Dayton offered a top of the line Mini Split Mitsubishi AC with a 10 year warranty (8 - 9 times longer than any other vendor offered), the price was fair and very competitive. The AC was installed on the agreed upon date, the installation was done correct the first time, all phone calls and emails were promptly returned and everything was professionally completed. I was so pleased with Dayton's job performance two years later (Jan., 2025) I called Dayton to inspect my home furnace and AC at a fair price. Dayton had a qualified technician at my home the very next day, he arrived at the exact time I was told he would be here. Dayton's sales, office and technician staff are all courteous, accommodating and very easy to work with (which says a lot coming from a guy who lost all of my patients decades ago and I am not always so easy to work with). Dayton installed a Mitsubishi ductless mini split in our new sunroom. They also re-routed the high efficiency PVC flues from our heater to get them out of the way of sunroom construction. All of the work they did was top notch.

Pros:

1- They sell Mitsubishi mini splits, which are pretty much the Cadillac model for these systems

2- The sales people were committed to selling us the right sized mini split for our 350 sq ft sunroom. A competitor quoted us a 24,000 BTU system, which based on my own heat load calculation, seemed way too big and prone to short cycling. Dayton recommended a unit half that size, which aligned with my independent calculation, and took the time to discuss how that unit was the right size for both heating and cooling

3- Before the install, the sales team talked to me like an equal. When I mentioned the competing quote and my concern about short cycling in the summer, they were happy to talk tech about how the Mitsubishi could throttle all the way down to 2,000 BTUs of cooling, so it can just keep running at that low rate on mild days without cycling on and off. They also dove into the specs of the competing 24,000 BTU unit, and discussed how it could only throttle back to 5,000 BTU.

On the heating side, Dayton was willing to listen to me when I said that we were planning to install a 40,000 BTU wood burning stove in that room. They factored that into their calcs. Their competitor didn't really want to hear about our stove plans, and continued to insist that we needed their biggest unit.

4- The walls of our sunroom are cedar shiplap. I told the sales team that cedar needs stainless steel fasteners. When the tech came out to install, he showed me the stainless steel fasteners he was going to use to verify I was happy with them. It was nice that my request was communicated and honored without any fuss

5- The install techs never pressured me to buy anything. When we had our primary HVAC installed by a competitor 5 years ago, their techs tried to sell me a variety of extras I didn't need or want. The Dayton techs were not like that at all.

6- The tech that re-routed our flues spent several hours getting them installed just right. I know that if this is done wrong, you get those huge icicles outside in the winter, and can damage the internal furnace. I quizzed the tech while he was hanging the PVC and he said it was taking him a long time because he had to make sure they were sloped correctly. Music to my ears.

7- When I called for service on the mini split, a real person who knows something about HVAC answered the phone. They helped me run a test to confirm the problem, and then scheduled a tech for us the very next morning when the test showed that the AC needed work.

Cons:

1- We did have one issue where water was dripping from the indoor mini split unit on hot humid days. A tech was out the next day to fix the problem, and did a great job explaining what was causing the leak, and how he was going to address it. He then demonstrated the repair by pouring a huge bottle of water over the fins of the AC unit to prove that all the water was draining properly with no drippage down the wall. Dayton did not charge me for this service.

2- The night before our mini split install in January, the Dayton salesman called to ask if they could delay the install by one day because they had a bunch of customers with no heat at all that they needed to service first. The temp that night got down to -20. We talked and I explained that we had enough auxiliary heat in our sunroom to get by no problem. I don't really consider this a con at all. I was impressed that they were up late trying to coordinate how to get help to their customers who were completely without heat.

I know this is a long winded review, but there were so many positives about our experience with Dayton, that it was worth typing in. We plan to use them for all our HVAC needs going forward.

100% recommend Dayton! Our A/C broke over the weekend. Jesus made it out to our house quickly, found the problem and had it fixed within an hour! This was the second time he's fixed something for us. We will definitely use Dayton for all our HVAC needs from now on. Thank you for everything!

I was looking for a company to replace my 19 year old furnace and air conditioner. I specifically was interested in a company that had outstanding reviews and was a local smaller company known for personalized service. From the very first call to request an appointment for quotes to installation and follow up the group works together seamlessly to ensure an extraordinary customer experience. I started with Dana who answered the phone. She has a friendly easy demeanor, was not rushed and showed genuine interest, listening to what I was looking for and getting me scheduled. Next, Nick showed up, another easy-going
person who took the time to get to know what I was looking for and took photos and measurements. He then discussed a few options and referenced the size of our home and needs. One of the best quote experiences I have had on any project. Axel and Willie removed the old equipment and completed the installation that took most of the day. These guys were polite, careful and efficient. They worked almost nonstop all day. Equipment removal from the driveway was handled promptly by another employee once everything was taken out. Mark, one of the owners and Nick stopped by to check a communication issue with my nest thermostat the next morning and resolved it. I would recommend this team to anyone who is looking for integrity and straight forward communication. Trane is manufactured in the USA and has one of the best warranties. Dayton is noted by Trane on their website for Des Moines and surrounding area and has a 4.9 rating with Google.

Dayton was AMAZING. Five stars all around! Super fast getting us a bid, lowest bid we received, military owned, military discount, helped us find great financing, and the install was top notch! Their whole crew is fantastic!! Highly recommend!!!

Dayton Heating completely nailed it with our garage heater install. Oscar and Axel were prompt, attentive, pleasant to have in our home but most important they were skilled and knowledgeable. I would encourage you to get a bid from Dayton because they were the most competitive and the quality of their work was outstanding! Thank you for making this project so easy! I'm so thankful to Dayton (and Dana & Jack) My damper had closed and 3 different companies couldn't figure it out. I had no heat entering my condo for a week. I finally Googled a company who could fix dampers. Dayton popped up and I immediately called. Dana promised a good tech first thing in the morning and she delivered!! Jack was able to open my damper and I Have Heat!!!! He explained things to me so I could understand what was happening and being done. You have no idea how much I appreciate your reliability, professionalism, and knowledge. I would definitely recommend them! Thank You!!
