HVAC reviews in Lexington, Kentucky

They did a great service! Our technician was Brad Irvin. He was straightforward, had a back up plan in case we couldn't get certain parts approved, and was very nice to talk to. My fiance and I are doing projects on this house we want to move in to, so we needed someone reliable to work on our AC! We're grateful that he came out to work on our unit despite us being out of their service range (McKee). He then recommended another reliable AC company for future servicing. They're down to earth and up-front about their pricing, services, parts, and are quick to respond!

Tech came to my house put gages on heat pump and said A coil was bad and that I needed a new system and had salesman call. He never looked at A coils. It was under house. And I suggested it. Got someone else to troubleshoot and found line was broken at condenser unit. Sliced in tube and repaired at a fraction of the cost of new system.

I would have given 5 stars; however, my original appointment was canceled on the day I was expecting service. I made the original appointment online, which was advertised as an available date/time slot on the website. I was told my online appointment request was a surprise and they had no available technicians that day.
The service they provide otherwise is excellent. Matt came to prepare our system for winter. -
Super knowledgeable and responsive. Have handled both of my HVAC needs quickly, thoughtfully and best of all effectively. These guys are great.

Caleb and Matt have both been good in working on our system. The issue is the LG mini split heat pumps. We have already replace 3 compressors on one and 1 on the other. Although these were covered under warranty the quality of this product is terrible.

Brady is a good, very kind and helpful technician. We can’t say enough about his work on an inside air conditioner that was throwing out black particles. They were not carbon but bacterial particles that probably were part of the cause of wife’s allergy problems.
Brady was very thoughtful explaining the problem and providing solutions. We can’t thank him enough for his concerns and providing solutions far beyond a seasonal system check. He deserves our highest commendations! Many thanks.

Technician was polite and worked quickly but check everything. He cleaned the coils of both the inside and outside units, flush the inside drain and washed the outside unit. Things that techs from other companies never did. I highly recommend this company.

Caleb was outstanding! Polite, pleasant, professional. He diagnosed and corrected the issue with my furnace and provided a brief synopsis of work performed. Excellent service. Thank you 😊

As always, Engineered priovided great customer service.
Brady was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
He explained my options very well.
I’ve been a customer for only a couple of years and will continue to be as their organization is so much better than who I had for many years but is no longer locally and family owned. -
My experience with Caleb was excellent. I live on a private road that has been less than accessible recently. He parked his van at the end of the road and walked with me the 200 yards or so to my house. He was very cordial and explained things well. What has been frustrating is lack of coordinating repair time but still asking for review before it actually has been repaired. It was a high pressure lockup and fan motor death. Caleb was also part of the team that installed the current unit 8 years ago. This is the first maintenance required since then.

Love my new HVAC system installed by Engineered Hearing and Air. Scope of work included remove existing AC unit and evaporator coil in the crawl space and install a new Carrier 2.5 ton GA5-30 AC outdoor unit w/ CVAMA evaporator coil and tie into/reuse existing gas furnace. Also included a Honeywell FocusPro digital thermostat, new pad and electrical disconnect box for the outdoor unit, and an SS2 safety switch for the drain lines that shuts unit off if drain line backs up to prevent more water from going into the crawlspace. In addition, Chris Boyd and his crew removed all existing ductwork from the crawlspace and replace with all new including new metal supply plenum, return plenum and metal trunk lines, insulated on the outside for optimal airflow, sized for the first floor system. They installed new flexible supply runs and removed and replaced the registers, collars and boots. Chris and his crew did a thorough job supported by a team of senior supervisors and sales rep David Borne. Thank you David, Chris, and the rest of your team for my new HVAC system and peace of mind knowing it will last for years to come.

Caleb Woods replaced the leaking coil in our 3.5 yr old Carrier mini split. It’s now running well again. He was efficient, courteous, and left the area clean where he worked. We appreciate his and Engineered Heating & Air efforts in making the repairs go smoothly and cost effectively.

Engineered Heating & Air was exceptional among the three companies I considered - all highly rated, both by customers and BBB A+ listing - for repair or replacement when my furnace died on the coldest day of the year in December 2025.
It was apparent that both Chase, service representative, and Cody, the lead service technician, were more knowledgeable than their counterparts who also came to diagnose my problem and assess options going forward. I felt I was better equipped to make the best decision for my situation after their very thorough reviews of both my heating and cooling systems, the first past its life expectancy, the other at or near it.
They also went above and beyond loaning me portable heaters prior to install of the new HVAC - which they were able to schedule for only two days later - and offered the best financing terms (18 months same as cash) of the three companies I consulted. And all good since.
I highly recommend Engineered Hearing & Air for anyone needing HVAC repair, replacement, or maintenance in the Lexington/Central Kentucky area.

Professional and responsive. They answer and/or return my calls, show up on time, and have been very reliable. They installed an HVAC system several years ago and were good about supporting the warranty when the Rheem heat exchanger went out. I recommend them.

What a fabulous company! Engineered Heating and Air is a fantastic company and Matt is a fantastic technician. I did not think I would be able to improve on the past company I had that maintained my Carrier Infinity system, but I have. Finding a company to trust with quality technicians is so hard to do now. Very happy customer.

Customer for life. These guys were our "second opinion." They agreed with the initial thoughts but they disagreed with how to move forward. We ended up getting a new unit but not before, at no cost to us, the Engineered team, led by Chase Buckley, spent probably 40 man hours measuring, troubleshooting, inspecting, and meeting with us. Lastly, they presented us with a binder that layed out 4 or 5 different plans that were personalized to our house and square footage. They answered every question. We agreed on a plan and then due to a death in the family and a holiday, we ghosted them for a few weeks. I called once it all passed and they began work two days later. We won't use anyone else.

Just use Engineered Heating and Air for the first time to service my Water furnace Geo Thermal system. I wish I had use them a long time ago. My service tech Caleb was professional, knowledgeable, informative, and just a good person. My system was checked , serviced and a problem with my system not connecting to the internet was solved. This company will now take care of all of my Geo Thermal system maintenance. Plus they are affordable and i did sign up for their maintenance plan which was a great price. I will use them again and i do recommend this company.

I had a complete system installed. It was a pleasant experience from the start. Chase explained my options and discussed with me what would be best for my situation. Once that was done, Bryden and Wyatt did a great job with the installation. They were professional and took the time to answer my questions and get the job done in a timely manner. My experience with Engineered was great!

Extremely pleased with their service. They installed a Carrier furnace. Chase , an adviser came to our house to review the installation process and finances. Details were worked out to our satisfaction. The installation crew, Bryden and Raul , were very professional and efficient. The clean up was excellent, with everything left in place. Very pleased with the whole process

I am 100% satisfied with my experience with Engineered Heating and Air. The depth of knowledge and understanding of my situation displayed by the Service Tech, Brad, and the Advisor, Chase, gave me total confidence is their recommendations. I needed an entire new system so we weren't talking peanuts. The installation team of Bryden, Andrew, and Raul was extremely professional and efficient. I was especially pleased with the care they took to keep me updated on their progress. I also need to compliment these guys on their awesome clean-up!

We could not have been more pleased with Engineered Heating and Air. Our old furnace went out, and Chase and Tom worked with us to figure out our best option. Then, they came through for us during the very difficult weather to replace the system. Chase was very responsive and helpful throughout, and the technician, Brady, and installation team, Andrew and Noah, were so friendly and professional. They did a great job and left everything in beautiful shape. We will be consulting them for all our future needs and recommending them to friends.
