We lost heat during one of the worst winter storms I've ever seen. Mike, the sales manager at Engineered Heating and Air, was terrific. He was able to beat a competitor quote by over $1500 to do a full replacement of our gas furnace. Because of our emergency circumstances in extremely cold weather he somehow got our installation scheduled for the very next day. Our lead installer (Cody) was very polite and professional. The noise was minimal and they left the area as clean as they found it. I got an easy to use wifi thermostat that's allowed me to adjust the temperature of my home from virtually anywhere in the world using the First Alert app. Our air conditioner is probably on it's last leg and we will definitely use Engineered for that project when the time comes. Highly impressed with how they do business.

I was referred by a friend to get a quote. Allen came out on time and did an inspection on my needs. He called back later with some estimates and came by later in the week with three options. He went over each one in detail and answered my multiple questions. When he quoted me the price and I agreed to it, he came back out for final measurements. He said that there would need to be two more runs added under windows to make sure it was up to code. He had not quoted that in the original price and said there would be no extra charge for the two additional runs. That's high class and good business practices to stick to an agreed upon price even though more would be needed to ensure it was up to code.
The day of the install, they were right on time. They got right to work to remove the old system and work on the new one. They cleaned up any mess they made for the install and wore boot covers when they came in the house. They were professional and polite to my wife and myself the entire time and made sure to give us updates.
The second day, they were on time again and stay late in the day until it was done. Randy, the owner, came in and explained the new thermostat and made sure all of our questions were answered. He made sure to let me know that they would be back when it was time to switch to heat to make sure it went smoothly.
Top Notch all the way around and I would recommend them to anyone who asked.

Even though they couldn’t fix my problem, they clearly explained the issue and offered a potentially cost-free solution. They could have just charged me to fix it but they didn’t. I appreciate their honesty and that wins my repeat business.

R & D was contracted through my home warranty. You always hear horror stories about home warranties and coverage, but I didn't have any issues. Randy came out, diagnosed the problem and assured me it was covered. My heat went out during the ice/snow storm and he was able to make it out there the next day. He diagnosed the problem, was able to reprogram my thermostat to allow for emergency heat, and ordered the new part that day. I had to wait a few days for the part to come in, but Randy called as soon as he got it and came and installed it ASAP. All was covered under my home warranty. He was fast, polite, and did a good job. Definitely recommend them :)

R&D Indoor Comfort, Formerly Lexington Unique Indoor Comfort is the Best Heating and Air Conditioning company in Lexington, KY! I have had the privilege of buying from and utilizing the services of this company since the 1980's! They sell only quality products and offer only class leading service! I buy their annual warranty every year and it's worth every penny! I woke up this morning and my air wasn't operating properly, within a 3 hour period they have fixed my air! Now that's service! You can't go wrong in selecting this company for all your heating and air conditioning needs! Randy is a great technician, he has been with the company for year and is highly efficient! In for the long haul - I place a lot of value on reviews that cover a long period of time. After all, when you purchase an expensive HVAC system, you want it to last. That's why I'm so impressed with R&D. At our house, we've had a Lennox system for well over 20 years and it's still running strong. That's thanks to the excellent maintenance that R&D has provided over the years. And that level of excellence is still evident in their work. Just today, Randy solved a problem with another HVAC system we own. There was an issue that was partly the fault of another vendor that conflicted with the workings of the system R&D had installed last summer. Randy solved the problem without blinking an eye and our system is back up and running great. Thanks to R&D for the great products and services - both short term and long term.

Super easy to schedule a date and time for an R&D rep to come out and take a look at our HVAC unit. Got reminder texts the day of appointment, rep was on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable- efficient and effective - did a great job - family is sleeping we’ll knowing system has been checked out by an expert sho cares about our well being!

Best company I have ever had.
They fixed my AC unit fast. I woke up and found my unit not working. Call off for the days and the were able to fit me in the same day. Love the friendly associates and the kind hearted people who work there.

Great to work with! Furnace stopped working early this morning, I had to make a claim through my home warranty and they got them out here in less than 6 hrs. They were earlier than their suggested time frame and fixed our issues very quickly. Highly recommend!

I have a home warranty package with First American and was very skeptical of things I had heard about getting a service taken care of with this company. My experience so far has been wonderful. I requested service last night and received a phone call at 7:30 am this morning to set up appointment to diagnose the issue. The Repair Technician was even early today. He was here for over two hours and was able to fix the issue. Very good customer service. Highly recommend!

When turning on the air for first time this season, compressor did not kick in (its a new unit installed last fall). Randy fit us in the schedule and added a "hard start part" at no cost, since the larger unit had a hard time kicking in after sitting all winter. Excellent customer service...thats why we've been customers for over 30 years!!!

I've been a customer for YEARS. They consistently perform great services. From system maintenance to partial and complete HVAC system replacement. Their employees - in the field and in the office -are courteous, timely and the company offers competitive pricing.

I have a home warranty and R&D was sent by them to repair my A/C and just recently my heat. Allen who I first spoke with was very polite and very understanding and was able to schedule my appointment within a few days when the A/c went and again was quick to get us scheduled for the heat as well. The technician who came out Adam was right on time both visits, very knowledgeable and polite, both of my dogs liked him too! (They are Leary of strangers) He Worked quickly and thoroughly checked our unit both times he was here. Keep in mind with the warranty SVC he could only inspect what was reports broken. Both times I was very satisfied with the service I received from R&D and will continue to work with this service provider for many years! A+ company in my book!

95 Degrees the last few days. AC went out on Wednesday, called R&D Thursday morning. Had Randy out to my house by 11a. Fast, experience, and knowledgeable tech. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix my unit. Highly recommend R&D and specifically Randy to do any HVAC work on your home.

Tina and Jacob took great care of us when our TXV valve failed and the part was backordered. They kept us updated and got us back up and running as quickly as they could. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend R&D.

I can say enough good things about R&D! My heat went out in the evening and they were able to get someone there first thing in the morning. The technician communicated with me about when he would be at my house and he was prompt! He was very courteous and answered all my questions (I had a lot). He was able to crawl under my house and pinpoint the problem. He arrived at 8am and I had heat by 9:15am! I have used R&D for many years and will continue to give them my business. They are a rare find! I HIGHLY recommend them for any HVAC needs!

Our HVAC stopped working during the last snow, and they came quickly and had it fixed in just a few minutes. Only charged a service call. Highly recommend!
Edited to add. 6/2/2022 Our air conditioner stopped working, so we decided to replace the whole system. R&D did a great job! Friendly workmen and they had me cooled down in just a few hours. We've used this company for years and I always trust that they are honest in what we need to do.

Recently our old furnace quit working. R&D had kept it working for several years but it was time to replace it. That was a Tuesday, by Friday we had a new unit installed and working. They also followed up to insure everything was working properly. We will be lifelong customers. The service and staff are knowledgeable and professional. I can't imagine calling anyone else.

Well, winter 2025. Furnace is making a sick noise. She is 30 yrs old so we figured it was about time. R and D came out the same day and diagnosed the problem and quoted us a price and also priced a new furnace. They were not pushy about our choice which was refreshing.
