HVAC reviews in Lexington, Kentucky

Ammar was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable.
Fayette responded quickly to our weekend heating outage. A real person answered the phone AND they sent a tech as quickly as they could.
Fayette H&A now has our business and we are pleased to have Ammar as our technician. -
The Fayette and H2O Team is a trusted company we have done business with for several years. They are reliable, knowledgeable professionals that complete the job with complete satisfaction. They also give us helpful hints in preventative maintenance that we appreciate!

I am Gustavo ; They replaced all my old cast iron plumbing, and one of the pipes was so rusted that they had to replace everything since it connected to the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. The team that served me, Jared and Brannon, did an excellent job. They were very professional and respectful, and they also replaced the water pipes and are about to come back to install the toilet and sink in the main bathroom of my house. As soon the General Contractor finish to install the tiles.

Adam Austin was professional, knowledgeable, and patient! Adam was able to quickly diagnose our furnace issue and repair it after obtaining the part within an hour on the same day. We were very appreciative of his great service to make repairs before the cold arctic temperatures were upon Lexington!

First of all the service was fantastic and Alex was very professional and amazing at his job and got our tankless hot water heater back up and running in no time. My only concern was the pricing. They have an odd pricing structure where they refused to give me an itemized receipt and couldn't explain to me why an hour and a half of Labor with no parts required cost me $429.

I’m writing this review with deep disappointment and sadness, hoping it helps others avoid the stress my family endured. We joined the Comfy Club membership through Fayette Heating & Air and Miastro Plumbing, and what followed was a series of frustrating and costly missteps—at the worst possible time in our lives.
After a plumber visit for a clogged pipe, we were told they needed special equipment or would have to tear up our bathroom floor and sink. I explained—twice—that we had a large crawlspace door with direct access to the plumbing panel, even showing a technician a photo of the setup. Despite this, they sent multiple plumbers who ignored that information, and one even damaged a pipe using a motorized snake until it broke.
Eventually, Bluefrog Plumbing came out for a free inspection. Their first question was about crawlspace access. Within 15 minutes, they not only cleared the clog but also repaired the damaged pipe—at no charge. They even waited while I picked up a coupler and gave us a $45 discount. The crawlspace carpet had absorbed water from the leak, and their help prevented further damage.
This all happened just a week before my father passed away. He was the kind of man who would’ve fixed this himself, and losing him made this experience even harder. We went over a week without working sinks, worried about mold and unseen damage. Miastro and Fayette Heating never returned my calls or responded to my emails. They offered $50 for the mailbox they damaged—but ignored the plumbing issues and potential mold risks.
Update 8/27/25: I tried again to reach Fayette Heating & Air through Carrier’s chatbot, just to ask about the safest MERV filter for our unit and possibly give their maintenance plan another chance. I was told someone would call me back—twice. No one ever did. Years ago, they installed our HVAC system beautifully, and their reviews were glowing. But since the change in ownership, it feels like they’ve stopped caring about long-time customers. If you’ve had a bad experience, they seem to blacklist you rather than make it right.
We’ve since found another company that offers better value, confirmed the correct MERV rating, and treated us with respect. I’ll be posting a review of that experience soon.
This review isn’t written out of anger—it’s written out of grief, frustration, and a desire to warn others. We needed help during a traumatic time, and instead we were met with silence and neglect. -
A few months back I had to have a triple bypass then experienced some complications that resulted in pneumonia and I've been out of work while recovering. In the middle of this our ac compressor blew so the last two months we've not had air in the house. I can't express to you how uncomfortable it is to have to deal with all of this simultaneously. We'd contacted a few HVAC companies but only one would do any financing but only after a substantial down payment which we are lacking due to me being out of work. I called Fayette after getting their number from a friend at the VA hospital and they set an appointment for that evening. Much to surprise, Jason York called shortly thereafter and said he was on his way three hours early. After examining our old unit, it was determined the entire thing needed replaced. He took our information and entered it in their system and within the hour called to let us know we were approved to not repair the old unit but replace the entire system for an INCREDIBLY reasonable price and payment with nothing out of pocket and scheduled the install two days out. Two days later George Hurlburt and Hunter showed up on schedule, and within just three hours had the brand new ac unit and heat pump installed and running beautifully. Not only did they do a great job and leave everything looking great they took the old equipment with them. It's rare these days to encounter a company that has this kind of customer service or professionalism but it's even more rare that people volunteer to make life easy like everyone involved did for us. We're officially Fayette customers for life.

Steve was phenomenal. He spent the time to identify the problem and educate us on the next steps and made a fair estimate. He came out on Sunday morning, was professional and polite, would recommend him 1000% to anyone needing plumbing evaluations and work done. He is a huge asset to the company and if we ever had any more issues in the future we will definitely ask for him! Thank you so much Steve!

Three stars because the plumber was friendly and punctual, but unfortunately, I'm now taking heat from my wife for the mess he left behind. There was a dirt trail from our door to the bathroom. They should buy their employees better shoe covers. Aside from that, it appears that the job is done and the toilet was installed correctly.

I had an HVAC inspection. Technician arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and thorough. He also was very courteous He showed me a potential problem that I should keep an eye out for and what it could cost to have it fixed although a repair at this time wasn’t necessary. I was pleased with this technician and will request him for any future services. No cost was involved since I’m a comfy club member

George Hurlburt and his technician partner did an outstanding HVAC installation over and above care and service. Left everything clean and tidy. I would Recommend George Hurlburt and his technician and Fayette Heating and Air

As always Fayette is helpful and knowledgeable. But it cost $99 just to walk through the door and another $430 to find the problem which we already knew the exact problem. That did not include repair. Tech was great but we thought the repair/replacement for a mini split was excessive so we sought other estimates. Love the people at Fayette but they are ridiculously high in price. We found a better price for a new mini split.

We were very pleased with Dalllas' and Eden's service. Dallas called to let us know where they were after calling earlier to make sure they were bringing the right ladder. In addition to changing the bulbs in the fans he disassembled a a track light fixture and restored it to working order. Both young men were very polite, made sure they understood what was needed, worked smoothly and efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done. Dallas seemed to be more experienced in opening the fixtures and we took note of how he carefully shared the same with Eden. They are an excellent team and they represent your organization very well

This group is great at scheduling their people. It took 4 appointments to get our dryer vent fixed. Colby Davis was our last two appointments and he was great. We had an idea where the break was and he listened and fixed it. Had to cut a hole in the garage soffit to get to the break. Glad we got it fixed.

The two young gentlemen were kind and professional. Felt confident in their plan. Very knowledgeable. Totally recommend Fayetteville HVAC/Maestro H20. We received an estimate for a water heater as ours has a leak.

Seems like the Goodman units have some problems. Fayette doesn’t seem to support them under warranty at all. Have had numerous issues with three year old units that weren’t covered which is very frustrating. However, every technician I have had has been great, friendly and knowledgeable on the units.

Kevin met us promptly on time to give us an estimate on new forced air/hvac unit. He was very courteous, informative and thorough. He did not try to persuade toward a particular brand but gave recommendations based on our past experiences with different brands over the years. Their estimate was the better quote in comparison to another company quote also. They unit we selected was in stock and is going to be installed in the next two days!

William Booze was just superb in every way. He was timely and thorough and very professional as well as gracious and nice to host. We very much appreciate such care. 5 Stars - Two Thumbs Up. Thank You!

If only I could leave negative stars for this company. I am very disappointed in their service. My elderly father had a new furnace installed in December 2025 and it stopped working on January 23rd. He called and had a tech scheduled to come out on January 25. The tech reported a bad gas valve. As of today, January 27, the issue has not been repaired. We have both been in contact with them multiple times and keep being told that someone will call back, which does not happen. This part has been located (by us) at 3 different locations, but Fayette Heating and Air told us that they cannot buy from these locations, only the manufacturer. When a customer has not had heat during a winter storm and extreme cold weather for 5 days, you would think they might prioritize the customer. But they will not. I am so disappointed with their customer service.

Had a comfy club visit. Found faulty igniter in one unit. I found the part on Goodman’s website for 47.95. Your price for installation of this one pin connector part, 30 min job, WITH my comfy club discount, was $441. This is exorbitant. We will be shopping around for our next HVAC service needs. Installer was great, prompt, and cordial. My issue is not with quality of service, it is what I consider price gouging. The response below is a typical rationalization response for clearly exorbitant pricing. Luckily there are other HVAC options in Lexington.

A few weeks ago, Cody replaced our water heater on a Sunday, Jim replaced a part on our auxiliary heat on a Friday and today Cody installed a water softener. We have been members of the Comfy Club for years and it paid off for the timing of the first two services. Was it more expensive? Maybe, but we needed those things repaired/replaced in severe winter weather so it was worth it! The technicians know their stuff!
