Easy to schedule, Jake arrived on time and immediately diagnosed the problem. Jake was extremely polite and respectful of our home, he wore covers over his shoes while working. He fixed our faucet, cleaned up and left the bathroom spotless. Thank you Barstow & Sons for a job well done at a very affordable price. We will definitely use Barstow again!

I felt Cameron Rodriguez did his job in a professional manner. He was thorough, and explained things to me while doing my fall maintenance review.

I had a Carrier heat pump installed. They did an excellent job! They offered a competitive quote and gave me several options/price points to choose from. They also handled the rebates and warranty registration. They were on time for the quote and on the day of install they even showed up just a few minutes early. The owner came as well to make sure everything was set for the crew, they had amble crew to make sure install was quick and efficient, and the techs all seemed to really know what they were doing. They did a clean and professional job and stayed to answer any questions I had about the system. I am very happy I went with them. I wanted to write this review because I’ve had iffy service from trades in the past from big companies to small, so I really appreciate the quality of work they did.

Barstow & Sons replaced my 20 year old system yesterday with a new heat pump. The crew arrived by 8 am and got right to work. By midafternoon, they had finished, cleaned up after themselves, and showed me how to operate the system. Tonight, we are sitting in wonderful, quiet warmth. Thank you for a job well done.

Ethan did a great job. He had to come out twice to get to the root of our no heat problem, but he persevered and finally found and fixed the issue.

Caleb was very thorough and knowledgeable and took his time to cover all of my concerns.

Nate did a great job. He came out the same day I called and fixed 2 A/C units right before a long holiday weekend. What a relief to get out of the heat! He was courteous and let me know all the options. Thanks!

Robert Carey, HVAC Technician, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, professional, respectful and kind. He showed me and/or explained everything he was doing. I hope to get him again in six months.

Very frustrated by the new ownership. Just got our fall service in mid-January.

Technician recommended several actions that, IMO, should have been part of the service we already paid for.

Tech also left our upstairs unit in emergency heat mode set at 76 degrees. We keep our bedrooms at 66 degrees. Wasteful and inconsiderate.

Will not use Barstow any more. Also note, their shiny new trucks promote that they've been serving Annapolis since 1980. Not this company...don't be deceived.

Jake and Ricky came by to replace our garbage disposal on Christmas Eve after it leaked all over our kitchen. They were professional, respectful, and saved the day for us! 10/10 recommend!

Overall, Barstow has been very easy to work with. Good communication, quick repairs, reasonably priced. I did not feel like they were trying upsell. I will use them again in the future.

Jake was very good, friendly and professional. We were pleased with his work. I didn’t give a 5th star because of him but due to the cost of the repair. He was here less than one hour and the cost was over $400.

Called to have black mold removed from mini spit unit with deep cleaning. Was told they couldn't come out until mid-January, but if I joined a membership they could come in a few days. I joined the membership and when the technician arrived at my house, he said he knew nothing about any mold or deep cleaning and he didnt have time to do it and would have to reschedule. He said he was told he just needed to clean the filter and vacuum front of unit, which we had already done. Cancelling membership and will try to find a more honest company.

Received service from Caleb within a couple of hours of my call. Caleb is an excellent professional and found and repaired the electrical malfunction of the heat pump system which had shorted out. Overall a very positive experience.

Barstow responds quickly when we need emergency service and provides thorough annual checkups and maintenance. The technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Cameron is friendly, efficient, and conscientious. He takes time to provide relevant information and advice on how to efficiently run your unit and to prolong the life of your equipment.

I have used Barstow & Sons for years and have always appreciated their low pressures business model. They have never tried to aggressively upsell any new products. They came out to check my hot water tank, and to reignite my pilot light. My experience has always been they exhaust all possibilities to repair my current equipment, and this visit was no different. It was an extra bonus experience, because I learned that Ricky, the apprentice, would be graduating from his apprenticeship a few days later on Fri, 10/24/25. I wish him much success throughout his career. Goooooo Ricky!!!
