Saffer did a big plumbing and heating job at our house: new water line from the street, re-pipe of all indoor water pipes, plus new heating unit. They promised they could get it done in a week, and they did by working long hours. Tony, the plumber and team leader, kept me informed of progress at the end of every day. He and his team stayed very, very late on Friday night to make sure we could get back in our home with heat and water on Saturday. I have worked with several Maryland contractors on our old home over the years, and Saffer was the most customer conscious and helpful. The office team that took my calls was friendly and totally informed. And I appreciated the call from one of the owners after the job was finished to see if I was happy with the work his company did. Tony and his team of Will, C.J. and Scott, earned Saffer a customer for life with the job he and his team did for us.

Wanted to thank Gary at Saffer Plumbing for a great experience with my new toilet installation. He was kind, knowledgeable and boy did he know his stuff. A busted pipe in a flooded crawl space in below-freezing temps does not a fun day make for any plumber. Dylan confronted the task head-on as required, pumped out enough water to get to the broken pipe, waded in and repaired it. He explained the cost perfectly and also provided a very good referral for the restoration. He was very respectful of my home taking care to not track in any water or mud. I thought the cost was reasonable given what had to be done, the time it took and under the adverse conditions. Saffer was recommended to me by my daughter and my BFF, so I also happily provide my recommendation to others.

We called Saffer after an issue with BGE gas meters at our apartment rental property. They were SO quick with getting Kayley dispatched out to us and she even called us when she was close by as well. She was 10/10. She was so beyond friendly and helpful with the situation. She even explained the situation simply to me so I could understand it better. It was over 5 hours of work that she worked non stop on and she even stayed a half hour late over her working hours just to make sure the project got done and our renters got their gas back. Kayley was wonderful and we will definitely be calling them again for work we need done!

Saffer was recommended by the friend of a friend and I'm very glad I called them. John was on time and very courteous. Also very informative. I had 3 faucets and a garbage disposal replaced. He fully explained my options including costs. I signed up for membership and saved quite a bit on the bill. I highly recommend Saffer and John.

When your electrical wiring needs to be upgraded to meet code standards, Saffer is the place to go. Their inspection highlighted the major issues that needed fixing, and they were able to fit me in to their busy schedule. So please with how quickly and efficiently they fixed my issues. I am a proud Saffer Club Member!!

John and Will just spent from 7:30a until 6:30p taking care of multiple issues , including a thorough diagnosis of the necessity to replace our main drain. Josuey with crouse was superb! He replaced our water heater and also installed a new expansion tank. He’s done great work and is very personable. My mom had some concerns before replacing our water heater but Josuey did an amazing job detailing all the work and called her nerves. This was exceptional customer service and everything was completed at a very reasonable cost. We have been loyal customers of Chris Saffer’s for 27 years. The work is always superb. This week we had a new steam boiler installed in our 7000 square-foot townhouse. It was done on short notice. Nick and his crew worked through the week, often putting in extra hours to get the job done in time for the upcoming cold snap. These plumbers are artists! Their perfectionist craftsmanship is truly impressive. Every detail was thoroughly addressed, and carefully considered at every step of the process. The entire experience was a real pleasure working with them. Absolutely recommend this outfit to anyone searching for exceptional service.

Caleb Holt was the technician from Saffer who provided an in home estimate for installing a gas line in my kitchen for a new range. He was professional and knowledgable and very agreeable to work with; in addition there pricing is very fair.

I was lucky enough to have a friend recommend this company and they did not disappoint. I had an attic fan and ceiling fan put in. Joanie was exceptional, she listened and heard my concerns. Her crew that came out to assist with the attic fan could not have been any better, especially considering it was probably 100 degrees in that attic. From start to finish, the work was completed, no mess was left (like others in the past). I have never been happier. If you want the best in Electrical work, I would highly recommend Saffer. No one out there is better. Ask for Joanie, she was amazing. Thank you for your excellence. It was definitely worth waiting for as it took me forever to just make the call. The response time was fast and the work was done within a week of the estimate. You are the BEST!!

We've had Saffer do commercial work for us in the past and this was my first experience having them complete a residential hot water install. Received the first appointment of the day, had Gary on site provide a detailed estimate and had the new heater here and installed by lunch -- same day! The quick turnaround was great and overall Gary's professionalism and forthright demeanor was very much appreciated during what normally would have been a very stressful situation. I definitely recommend Saffer and hopefully Gary is the one running point on your next project!

Brooke arrived for my plumbing and electrical inspection and found a couple of gas leaks that were immediately mitigated and repaired the very next day. Saffer even provided space heaters since our furnace is gas. She explained the findings in detail and provided the best options for my situation. Tyler arrived the next morning and was meticulous and detailed in his work, showing me all that was done and ensuring that every impacted appliance was tested before he left. The Saffer team is highly knowledgeable and very professional. I really appreciate that.

Never unhappy with Saffer Plumbing: they have been my go-to since 2015. They just helped me out with an emergency water shutoff at my home, and the dispatchers and crew were friendly, attentive, and got the work done! Whew. Thanks, Saffer, I'll keep coming back.

Everyone I talked to was very nice and courteous. The service itself was the issue. After approving work there was a lack of communication throughout the process. Requests of ours weren't followed up on; it sometimes took days for them to respond to a call; the plan for work, and the timetable, was clearly laid out, but not followed up on. When the work was complete and I was sent an invoice, I had another contractor come in for another issue, and he noticed that the work that Saffer had done wasn't complete and could lead to water getting into my home. If I hadn't coincidentally had someone come over to quote something totally unrelated, I would've been left with a damaged house. Finalizing that work took 2 weeks extra as Saffer dealt with subcontractors (they don't have actual staff who do the work). The subcontractors were nice enough, but they never sent me photos of the work performed, as promised (again, I had to ask several times for these). I didn't live on the property so I relied on confirmations like photos and phone calls. The process was nerve racking and Saffer's inability to keep me informed and move things forward to completion didn't help at all. Nice people, and the work was done (I think. I didn't have another contractor take a look at their work when they claimed they were finished a second time), but the timeline was longer than quoted and it was only completed with a lot of pushing from me.

Called Saffer to install complete basement laundry hookups in my rowhome -- gas/water/drain/vent. Came out quickly, pricing was super competitive, scheduled quickly and they did a really great job in a really tough space. House is 120 years old and this was NOT a straightforward task. Would hire them again in an instant. Shout-out to Brad, the PVC drain lines he ran in tight spaces are a work of art. Thanks guys

I called Saffer for a minor issue with an outdoor outlet that wasn’t working. Jeremiah and Kaled arrived at my home within an hour of my call. They quickly resolved the issue and also removed an old outdoor lighting system. I was very impressed by how fast they were able to get someone out—especially around the holidays. The problem was explained clearly, and the cost was very reasonable.
