When I called Roto-Rooter, I was pleasantly surprised with the extremely fast response time. The technician was extremely professional, thorough and most importantly, addressed the issue completely.

Our septic pump engine broke and we also had a busted septic pipe. Called rooter rooter and our technician Vincente was amazing. He troubleshooted the issue looking for resolves from the most complicated or the simplest. Although our issue had a more complex and pricy resolve Vincente took his time explained everything along the way. He fixed the issue even got a new engine out inHe was great!

Min from Roto-Rooter did an exceptional job installing a new water heater. He is highly skilled and has excellent customer service skills. I will call Roto-Rooter again for all my plumbing needs.

I have interacted with a dozen or so contractors during my five years of home ownership in Baltimore, but my experience with Roto Rooters was by far the worst I have ever had. Just to highlight a few of the problems:

-A technician spent a full day replacing a burst hot water heater and left saying the job had been completed. After he left there was no hot water in the house so they had to send out another technician to spend another full day getting the hot water on.
-When asked to pay for the services I was told there weren’t any financing options available. I had to put it all on my credit card only to find out that there were financing options available.
-When the water mitigation crew came out to clean the basement, they refused to put on shoe coverings when asked and were rude about it. Roto Rooters had to send a different crew out hours later who would wear shoe coverings.
-The water mitigation crew left wet boxes in the basement that we were forced to dispose of ourselves. I’ve had several mold inspectors out to the house since and they all say the same thing, “I can’t believe a remediation company would leave these things behind.”
-I called to express my concerns and was told that management would get back to me but they never did, even after I followed up one month later. They only contacted me when I told them I wouldn’t submit payment until they talked to me about my issues.

But the worst part of the entire experience was the customer service I received from the manager who did end up calling me about my issues. He dismissed, refuted, or denied every single concern I had. He said some of the issues were “second hand accounts” since they were experienced by my tenants so we don’t know if they were true or not (when asked if I could get them on the call so he could hear it directly from them he said “that’s not necessary”). Instead of apologizing for technicians leaving my house without the hot water heater working or rude crews not wearing shoe coverings and needing to be replaced with other crews, he said “well we did end up fixing the problem” instead of apologizing.

I am sure that this experience is not representative of Roto Rooters given the impressive reviews I read that caused me to call them in the first place. But the fact this experience could ever happen with an otherwise reputable company means that you should think carefully about hiring them.

Another great experience with Roto Rooter. I like that they come on the day you call, even if it’s Sunday. Ngin was the plumber assigned. He was professional, efficient, and quick. He explained what he would do to address the problem, including the best case and worst case scenario. He also provided the cost estimates before starting the work. No surprises with Roto. Rooter, which is why I am a repeat customer.

James did an excellent job. He was prompt and communicative on his eta. He explained the plumbing issues and resolved it for us. He was professional throughout and we will definitely be using Rotor Reuter again. Thank you James for your hard work.

Howard was an amazing technician. He arrived during the service window, was very courteous, and explained everything succinctly. He worked quickly, and had our garbage disposal back online within 30 minutes. Thank you so much!

What a wonderful experience. I came home from work and there was a leak in my ceiling underneath my upstairs bathroom. I called another company and they couldn’t come out until tomorrow morning. I called Roto-Rooter and they could come out right away. They were there within two hours. Earl was the technician and he was fantastic. he had to remove a piece of drywall and some trim to get to the leak. He found it right away and was able to fix it within an hour and a half and then he put the drywall back and fixed the trim and cleaned everything up. I could hardly tell that he had been there. I’ve had some bad experience with other plumbers in the past, and I think I just found me a new company to stick with. Earl and Roto Rooter did a great job. Thank you so much.

Israel did a great job unclogging our kitchen sink drain. He was courteous, clean and friendly and did a superb job (the clog was 50 feet away). We would definitely recommend him as a professional to those in need of plumbing related services.

Zauza Dochung was the technician that came out and fixed the reported link. He showed up with a smile and a good since of humor. He assessed the issue and was able to fix it without an issue. He was very patient and able to walk me through the issue and the way he was going to fix it. Thank you Mr. Dochung for getting the job done and for your hard work.

Netch was very knowledgeable and may it simple for me. He was also quick with replacement my faucet and clean up everything without me having to ask or worry. I’m overall happy with the results and yeah I would use him again. But no time soon.

Had an emergency hot water heater replacement done today, It's Saturday and they were here within about an hour after I called, excellent. Paul the technician did a great job. He was very friendly and explained everything that needed done, with cost upfront. He had me up and running again in just a few hours and cleaned everything up, very professional. Thanks Paul.

Vincent is very professional, knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to explain everything he was doing to repair my mother's drain and assured her he would come back if she had an issue

Called them at 10am to come out to give me a quote to replace my garbage disposal and explained to them that my landlord is aware however in the lease agreement I signed any minor plumbing issues (under $300) are my responsibility. They told me they will have someone come out today, even called me back at 11am just to say they are running behind but on their way. At 1PM they called me to tell me they cannot come out to even give a quote if they don’t personally speak to my landlord (who has a job and isn’t gonna stop what she’s doing to talk to someone ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A PRICE/QUOTE).

Long story short, I wasted my entire Saturday waiting for them when I could have BEEN called someone else. Now I have to wait until Sunday morning to get it looked at & get a quote because the other plumbing places are busy by afternoon time and have appointments booked for the entire day. Horrible costumer service and horrible communication skills. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

I was able to schedule same day service and get everything resolved in no time! Ryan was professional, friendly, and made the experience overall positive from start to finish. Having unexpected issues are never fun, but he did a great job making everything understandable and made my case of the Monday’s that much better! 🙂

Got someone out within 2 hours. Jason and Michael (in training) were personable and professional. They were careful with my floor and furnishings.

Fixed my water supply line to the toilet in my bathroom . He explained what he was going to do and also found another problem that i was unaware of . He was professional and knowledgeable I would definitely request Ryan to do any other plumbing job I need

We had an issue with sewage pumping up through our basement floor drain and Ryan was here within a matter of hours to fix the problem. Ryan was professional, kind, and informative, letting us know what was going each step of the way. Highly recommend!

Noe came to house to do a follow up work. The bathroom sink had a small leak after the original repair. He could pushed for new expensive alternative replacement, but went above and beyond to fix what had been put in.

Had a strange alarm coming from my exterior grinder pump, so I gave Catons a call. Even late in the afternoon, they sent someone out right away to take a look at it. Turns out it was a pretty big project and required the ordering of a specialized pump replacement. The install was also not particularly straightforward. But Leo and his colleague busted their butts, spent the extra time troubleshooting, testing, and making sure everything was perfect before leaving the home. Really great service experience.

There was a water main break on my street, on Tuesday night. Caton plumbing was used by Richardson Mews. They came on Wednesday to fix the water main break of course it’s drizzling, so that makes for fun work conditions. They worked all night, water was turned on at 3:30 in the morning. When I left for work this morning I saw all the trucks still here. I was unaware that they slept in their trucks so they could finish the job. I’m very thankful that they worked nonstop until the main was fixed!
