This company is highly recommended, in particular the technician that came to our house, Mr. Brian K. After calling in 3 different plumbers (who couldn't identify the location of leak somewhere in the shower plumbing) we were referred to American Leak Detection by a company that specializes in water damage restoration. Should you request the services of Senior Technician Brian (as I recommend you do) you will be impressed by his competence and efficiency. The problem that had been plaguing us for 3 months was resolved by ALD in short order.

Danny was prompt, explain my issue clearly and amazing recommendations.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Leak Detection Specialist Kenny Sanni-ojikutu.
Kenny was personable, well spoken, and easy to understand. He performed the inspection in a timely manner, asked questions relevant to the job, and inspected potential sources of damage.
When Kenny gave me the paperwork authorizing the inspection, clearly told me what the document was for, and where to sign. At the end of the inspection Kenny, told me what he saw, sent me the photos taken during the inspection, and answered all follow-on questions.
Kenny is clearly confident in his work and so am I. In the event that I again need the services of American Leak Detection, I would absolutely request Kenny by name.

I have been chasing down the source of a leak for two years now with each guess wrong. Storm after storm, I was worn down. My home insurance put me in touch with American Leak Detection. Brian arrived before the service window and immediately went to work on identifying the source of my leak. He was attentive and took my failed identification attempts into consideration. He had specialized James Bond-esque equipment that showed us a very likely avenue of water intrusion. The findings detailed in a thorough report that I was able to provide to contractors so that they were informed. If you have a mystery leak that's driving you crazy and are tired of losing sleep during rainstorms like I am, you have to give this company a go!

Danny did a great job! He was friendly and took his time to investigate and find the cause of the leak. He was thorough, answered all of our questions and explained everything to us.

I do NOT recommend this company. A leak was detected in my pool, and I was told to contact the company for a quote to fix it. More than 1 week later and multiple calls, I still do not have a quote. Every time I called, Stacy or whatever her name was "away from her desk" and that I need to call back. Look elsewhere as this company obviously doesn't want to help you once you pay for the leak service.

I praise to the work of Charles, who performed the test on our plumbing system today. He was very professional And thorough. He even worked with our on site plumber to do a quick retest after plumbing work was completed.

This company does not stand behind their work. Do not use unless you are willing to throw away money digging in the wrong spot. We had an exterior water line leak that we hired this company to locate. They incorrectly marked the leak location, which was off by over 6 feet. We learned this after paying around $3,500 for a plumber to dig out the marked location. After that they had to come back out, at which point they confirmed that they had marked the wrong location. They did mark the correct location on the second attempt with a different technician, which shows that this was technician error. When we inquired about receiving compensation for the cost of digging in their incorrectly marked location we were told that they would not cover any of the cost and that even though they were over 6 feet off they were within industry standards. We’re out $3500, but don’t worry, they are within industry standards!

We knew we had a leak but given that we've gotten plumbing estimates between 4k and 19k depending on the complexity of the job we wanted to have an idea of what we'd be up against. Originally, our neighbor thought the leak was his and used ALD so we called on his recommendation.

Making the appointment was really easy. They called the day before to confirm and our technician Danny H. called before arriving.

We told him where we suspected (hoped) the leak was. Because it's a water service line leak somewhere between the meter and wall of our house we were concerned about our foundation. He pulled out his equipment and got to work. He checked inside, outside and around the neighboring condos as well. He was really thorough and was actually able to show us the exact location. When he pushed air through the line the ground started bubbling where it was. He marked off the area and that was that. Pretty easy and painless process.

Fortunately it's good news. They also offer repair services which might be worth it since they have the exact location. At least having a clear idea of the leak gives you a starting point, and hopefully it's better than you were expecting.
