    * There was one guy that did my living floor and he did an exceptional job. Moved heavy furniture by himself, he worked hard and he completed the job!

Service was excellent! They arrived on time, and cleaned up after job was complete!

I will not be recommending Sears Home Improvement to anyone. In fact, anyone who will listen to me complain about them I will tell them about how unhappy I am. The installers are not the problem it is SEARS. Poor COMMUNICATION! I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Front Door and front storm door (and door frame) removed and replaced with the items I selected from the Salesperson. The doors were installed by people who had obviously done this before and I was not their experiment. I am especially fond on the new slide glass/screen storm door. The old one had take-out and replace glass and screen panels, not at all convenient.

Recently had Laminate floors installed in my home , I am very satisfied with the quality of work and materials used. I recommend Sears Home Improvement, highly.

The team arrived on time and met the stated installation time frame. Very experienced installer with positive attitude and superior confidence in the product's ability to achieve the desired result.

Excellence was the name during the course of this installation from the first contact and home visit all the way to the very end of the complete installation. What a Team! Thank you for a Job well done.

My salesman was fine. The project manager for the job was grossly incompetent. The wrong materials, would not pick up the phone and took forever to schedule the tradesmen. Darn right I am bitter.

They did an okay job with the work itself but they don't fully explain where the money you're paying goes to, they just keep trying to rush you to sign the contract and once you realize that the money they charge you is too much they don't care. My advice to anyone that considers them for a service, make sure you know exactly what you're paying for as in the prices of everything they will need to complete the job. Also some of their agents/employees are not the best.

The sales representative who came to our house was pleasant and knowledgeable, the furnace/AC was installed within few days, even though Thanksgiving was approaching. The crew who installed the furnace/AC came on time and left all cleaned and organized.

Sears home service was one of the worst experience. I need to replace AC unite. The Sale guy was very professional and he told me how good their installer are and how good the service is. IT WAS ALL A LIE. ONCE I SIGNED THE CONTRACT, THE SALE GUY NEVER PICKED UP HIS PHONE. AC INSTALLER WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'M VERY DESPONDENT. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY SEARS IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.

Delivery of the system was delayed for a month from Carrier because orf material shortages. Randy Bosley (Sales Rep) and Stan Frech (Project Coordinator) kept me informed and even upgraded our order to facilitate the installation. Far beyond what was expected for customer service. The installation team worke until late in the day to assure everything was professionally done. The best AC installation team I have experienced. Recommend them highly.

I contacted them to come look at my hvac system that wasn't working and give me an estimate to replace the system. On the appointment day no one showed up, I waited for hours and did not even get a call letting me know what happened. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled another appointment after I had to call to let them know no one showed up the first time. Second appointment came and again it was a no call no show. Very unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I will never call them for anything again.

    Technicians were absolutely great.

I'm not happy with the fact that although my furnace wasn't functioning like it is supposed to, my Sears Home Warranty did not cover it's repair or replacement. Sears is clearly more interested in selling new systems when people are desperate to have a functioning furnace in the middle of the winter.

This is not a good review. I had a furnace, humidifier and electronic air cleaner accessory added on Friday. Less than a week ago. After 24 hours I noticed water on the floor of my utility room in the garage area and less than 24 hours after that the heat from the furnace stopped working. I had an independent guy look at this issue and simply diagnose the issue. The control board is malfunctioning; it was on a code 3 low pressure switch failure. The control board was not sending power to the inducer motor thus no heat was being generated. In that instant the water tube blew off the water valve to the hot water heater unit spewing water all over my utility room. The valve blew off because it was not properly installed. I followed up with Sears Maintenance twice during this time to be met with terribly unfriendly service over the phone. I am seriously contemplating my recourse as I am starting to have instant buyers remorse over this purchase. The sub-contractors Sears is using because of their financial difficulties may also be regarded as sub-par in their capabilities. At this point I cannot recommend Sears or their customer service or sub-contracting partners.

The installers were great. However, the AC was installed 20 days later than the planned date. Thirteen days passed before I was able to get a response on the delay. Meanwhile, the unit got so muggy I had to spent two days at a friend's house, and another day at a hotel. It would have been nice if they simply kept me informed along the way.

Sears gave me a new bathroom! Excellent team. Sales rep was extremely knowledgeable, the coordinator extremely helpful with getting my condo's approvals and working on scheduling, and the installers were extremely professional, skilled and careful.

Thus was my first major purchase from Sears and I would use them again. My a/c went out and of course it could not be repaired since parts no longer available and have been restricted for a few years. The representative Brandon was very professional and courteous while walking me through what I had and products available through Sears. It did not take Long to decide to move forward with purchase. The following week my new unit was installed. The technician Walt, was equally professional and did an excellent job on time, cleanup, and going through the new thermostat. If large appliances are needed, I’m going back to Sears.

Overall the installation went very well. I was not happy with the sales portion of the process. The salesman made promises that were not true, nor did he inform me that a third-party would be installing the system. When they showed up, I was confused and almost denied them entry into my home. The salesman promised a 8-zone thermostat which I found out was not applicable to the unit I purchased. I felt like it was a bait and switch routine. The installers were efficient, courteous and professional.

This is the email I sent Sears yesterday about our flooring project. Still no word, so here's my review -- don't even consider Sears.

I wanted to bring to your attention some recent problems we've been having with the installation of our floors by Sears.

We signed a contract on/around February 27 for Sears to remove the carpet in our basement and replace with laminate flooring. More than a month later, the project has finally ended but it is still incomplete.

There have been many delays and rescheduled dates, only to have those rescheduled dates come and go with no explanation. We had an appointment for the contractors to complete the work this past Saturday from 9 am to 11 am. No one showed up and no one called us. Finally, at noon, we left a message for someone and at approximately 12:45 someone called us back and told us they were just picking up the materials and did not know we were told that someone would be over between 9 and 11. They said they would be right over. They showed up around 3:30.

The shoe molding was also in the closet to be installed. The contractors left without installing the shoe molding. No one told us why the molding was not installed and no one indicated that they would return to install it. As far as we are concerned, this project is incomplete and the contract has not been fulfilled.

Additionally, we paid an extra $100 for the Sears crew to move the furniture to one side, complete the flooring on one half of the room, then move the furniture to the other side and complete the other half. Sears did not do this. All of the furniture had to be moved so the crew could put a polyurethane finish on the floor. My husband and I moved all the furniture with the exception of two chairs and a desk, despite signing a contract that the Sears crew would do this. We would like this money refunded since we did what the contract indicated the Sears crew would do.

Despite having the basement measured two times, the installers ran out of material. The installer said he would be back the next day to complete the floors. He never showed up and never called. We spoke to a Sears rep on Monday and said they would have to order more material. The only time we hear from someone at Sears is when we call. No one ever reaches out to us.

This is not acceptable. We are spending $5,000 on these floors and we expected much more from Sears. We signed a "Things to Consider" statement indicating that we are aware of delays. The document states that "The Completion Guarantee means we will push through delays and stick with the project until we finish the job. Your Project Coordinator will reorder, reship, or reschedule as needed to make sure complications are resolved as quickly as possible."

We have never heard from our project coordinator (his name is Joe -- we have never had any communication with him) and he is certainly not ensuring that "complications are resolved as quickly as possible." We have no way of knowing what's happening unless we call. There is no indication that Sears is pushing through delays and there's no evidence of sticking with the project until it's complete. Indeed, the project is incomplete because the shoe molding in the closet was not installed.

I look forward to hearing from someone at Sears explaining how Sears plans to solve this problem and what you can do to make this unfortunate situation better. Considering the miscommunication, the countless delays and rescheduled dates, us completing work that Sears was contracted to do, not hearing from anyone at Sears in nearly a week, the incomplete shoe molding situation, and someone in an Empire Floors shirt coming to take pictures unannounced (with no explanation), we feel that Sears has failed to complete the project and as a result, has two very unhappy customers.

The unit we purchase is working great keeping our house cool. However we have had a number of issues - first we were told we would get a call the next day which we did not so I had to reach out to them and finally it was install in the time frame we were told. We had been 3 week without AC. The manufacture is offering a rebate but when I looked at our paper work to find the information required to receive the rebate I found a major error - our down payment was ADDED to the price NOT subtracted. Just hope we can get this straighten out quickly.
