Do not do business with these folks. Their techs are rude and don’t know what they are doing. They let a problem with my boiler fester for two years and either didn’t identify it or didn’t want to fix it. Luckily my plumber was able to diagnose the problem and when I called to let them know about it, the customer service representative was rude and condescending. I finally just had my plumber fix the problem even though I had been paying for a service contract with Griffith. They also over charge for oil and delivery was slow. Once I switched to a new company, I had better prices and faster delivery. I will never do business with these folks again.

10/10 best in NOVA! They have wonderful customer support and you get to talk to an actual human on the other end without waiting on hold for 30 minutes like competing companies in the area. We switched to Griffith from Superior Propane and couldn’t be happier with the service so far.

Our technician Ashot came and did a A thorough observation on my plumbing he tightened up a screw that looked like it was leaking. He then went and checked out my water heater and that was OK. Everything was good. He checked the bathrooms and everything looked good. He said so I’m good. He was good. There was no recommendations for anything.

Davonte Williams came in early to service my (HVAC). He let me know what was going on with my new (HVAC). Everything was good. He went outside to check the equipment out there and like I said he checked the one in the basement and he told me what I needed to have done the HVAC was good. I just need to have my air ducts cleaned so I’m gonna have to wait on that because it was quite high so I’m just gonna wait a little bit for that cause I’m still paying for my new (HVAC)

I had to have my hot water heater replaced and was very happy with the service that I received! My technician Victor was very professional and explained the process very clearly. Victor took great care to protect flooring and even helped me clean up all the wet towels that I used to clean up the water from the leak caused by my old heater.
The entire process went smoothly and I would trust Michael and Son's with repairs in my home in the future.

We’ve had a Michael & Son Home Care Agreement for a around five years now, and there are things I genuinely like about it. The annual inspections on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and heating are great for peace of mind, and the technicians generally do solid work when you actually need something repaired.

That said, you really have to be prepared for the upsell pressure. A lot of the techs who come out will try to fear-monger you into pricey, unnecessary work. A couple years ago, one of them insisted we had to replace our water heater. We got two other opinions, and both said it just needed a minor repair — and sure enough, it’s still working perfectly years later.

Same story with HVAC: almost every visit includes a pitch for UV lights or whole-home filters due to “microbial growth,” when in reality we just needed our interior evaporator coils cleaned — which, apparently, is just normal maintenance every few years. That wasn’t something they told us upfront.

Quality-wise, the work they do is solid, but expect to pay a premium. We did have one issue where we asked for a recessed outlet behind the TV and they installed a standard one instead, so we’ll need to get that fixed.

Bottom line: The Home Care plan is worth it for routine inspections, but treat any recommended repairs or replacements with skepticism. Always do your own research and get other quotes. In our experience, 9 times out of 10, it’s better to have the work done by someone else.

Nima did a great job adding a gas valve for our stove. He was professional and answered all of my questions. He was also able to do the work after providing a quote, which was helpful for my busy schedule.

I had a great experience with Michael & Son Services technician Mohan Maharjan. Starting with his arrival in the expected time window, he was professional in diagnosing the problem and explaining the solution to fix it. I appreciated that he offered options for moving forward. To sum it up, I decided to go with a plan to support future HVAC concerns.

The customer service and follow through was outstanding. You pay more for peace of mind. Hyo, the technician, was knowledgeable, informative, and gave good advice. He even noticed some plumbing working that was not installed to code which allowed us to follow up with the servicer to get the problem fixed. We also became a member of M&S to ensure annual inspections and service.

I contacted M&S one evening for a heating issue I was having. M&S sent a highly experienced tech named Mohan to my home the next day. He was just an excellent tech. He arrived on time, took the time to listen to my issue, and he explained clearly each step of what he was checking I’ve had worked with HVAC techs over the years from several different companies, and Mohan is definitely one of the best If you are working with M&S, ask for Mohan.

My first experience with M&SS could not have gone any better. The tech, John Willis, was a very educated and experienced individual who provided me with so much information, I somewhat struggled with processing and retaining all of it. He was very professional and respected my house the entire time he was working on my plumbing concerns. He ensured I was fully aware of everything he was doing and even recommended I acquire a home warranty through M&SS for at least one year, after briefly hearing about other household appliances that could possibly give me concerns in the future. I would definitely recommend M&SS to others and if they’re lucky, they may even encounter John for services the same as I did.

Just wish to say that I am very pleased with the services provided to me by Michael and son for the generator I've had with them for 10 years. Technician Larry Greene has worked to monitor and maintain my generator under the services agreements and contracts for the majority of that time and I'm very pleased. He arrives on time and contact me in advance if there is a delay.

He explains situations that may require repair and/or replacement of parts, and makes recommendations on best ways to maintain the generator's overall function and life span.

Daniel did an excellent job of replacing an old tub drain that was too corroded to get out. He cut the drain and overflow lines and replaced them with new pvc lines. He installed a new metal pop-up drain stopper and overflow plate. He had to work in tight spaces and was careful not to damage the tub. He was courteous and conscientious, cleaned the tub and made sure both access panels were reattached at the end of the job. Daniel was very knowledgable and answered all my questions well. I am grateful for Daniel's expert work and I highly recommend him and Michael and Sons to others in need of similar work that they may need to have done.

The technicians Rakeemand James came on time. They explained everything that needed to be done. They did an excellent job. I'm very pleased with their work and they even cleaned up better than what it looked before the game, I would highly recommend Michael and sons
