We are very disappointed. We purchased the unit recently and one of the services on the contract was 24/7 emergency free services for one year. The technician assigned to the job refused to come and work on the assignment unless we pay $250 just for coming. He said he couldn’t find the contract. I took a picture of it and send it via text. My phone showed it was delivered he stated it wasn’t do we had zero service.

Had two visits on Friday 1st was from Clarence who did my SMECO ac tune up. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained as he worked and was very thorough. Next I had Travis out to give me an estimate for replacing 2 of my units. He investigated and explained what was wrong. He also gave me a lot of information as he went over the options. Like Clarence, Travis was also very personable and knowledgeable. I feel confident in all of the information that I received. I am now just waiting on the list if options and costs.

Fantastic service from Austin. Smart, professional and patienly explained issues and answered questions in a clear way. We will be sticking with Southern Pride for a long time.

The technician, Mark was knowledgeable and courteous. Southern Pride arrived when promised and complete the service in a timely manner. I would recommend Southern Pride and look forward to using them in the future.

My experience with the Southern Pride has always been top notch and friendly. The servicemen are for sure down to earth folks who are relatable and appear to genuinely care about getting your system up and running. We will be staying with them and recommending to anyone willing to listen.

They were excellent at scheduling and communication proior to the appointment. They also sent a picture cute of the tech to expect.
The techs themselves were polite , low key and wore gear to reduce dirt and grime.

I booked a morning appointment window (8-12) and the technician was late. I had to call to check on their status. Then I got a weird text with the technicians info to include his hobbies. I would have preferred a text telling me he was running late. The appointment was for a simple heater check (2 units). At around the 2 hour mark the technician said he had to go to his van for about 10 mins. Forty mins later my husband had to go to his van and tell him we had another appointment soon. At the 3 hour mark we were going over the findings with a lot of discussion on one of our air conditioners. We wanted to sign up for a plan (which you can't find any info on prior to the appointment) but to keep from doing more paperwork the technician told us we could sign up later when we got our invoice. We were charged $380 for the visit. I'm unclear if we would have been charged that if we did the plan paperwork and again you can't look it up on the website. I now have to call the company because you can't sign up with the invoice email.I also wanted to use the BOGO offer and don't know how. Not a good first impression.

Booked an appt with this company for a 8-12 window. The tech NEVER SHOWED UP! Call to find out what was the issue… only to be told that I
would need to wait an additional 45 minutes to an hour. What was the reason for the appt time?? If your tech is going to be late… it’s only a courtesy to the customer to communicate. Wasted my entire morning.

Awesome customer experience! I wanted a split unit HVAC unit installed in my basement. Southern Pride personnel sized the unit, ordered the equipment and installed it in just a few days. Everyone was respectful, courteous and professional. I was impressed with how quickly they completed the job. I'm a very happy customer!

Since the installation of my heat pump/oil furnace combo, they have been responsive, helpful and amazing. Highly recommend.

The technician (Alfredo) was great (he gets 5 stars), he explained everything. He explained that the part in question may not be covered by warranty as it appears the is is moisture damage and said I may be responsible for the part. I was ok with that as I had reputable with that part before and had already looked up the average cost of 120.00, he replaced it, he then kindly said that Southern Pride would discount the part 10% for my convenience which I appreciated. When he gave me the bill, they wanted to charge almost 800.00 for the part. I looked at him weird, I said that’s a 120.00 part…. He said, that was their price. I said i could understand if you charged me 240.00 for it, heck even 300.00 but 800.00, I am not paying that, you can take it off. I was completely pleased with Southern Pride until now. Time i find another provider.

Luis was professional yet patient and efficient. He really took time with me to setup the thermostat and explained the issue with my heat pump. Excellent.

Alfredo is very knowledgeable of what he does! He explained throughly what they do measuring humidity, heat, cold air, checking coils and inspecting if the unit is clean. They also clean the units if it is needed during routine maintenance. I first met Southern Pride Hvac with same technician while servicing one of the properties I manage! Because Alfredo was so thorough I was sold into getting their membership w/out him marketing it! It is affordable. They also send photos on the spot to your email! They have great employees and great customer service!

I was experiencing my heat cutting off during random times The tech name Clarence, was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to check the codes against the system ruling out all the possibilities which were causing the issue. He ended up cleaning out the burner and flame sensors. Hopefully this was the fix that my unit needed.

Excellent and attentive service! My service was for preventative maintenance, my installer arrived on time and was very polite. Definitely will continue to use as my annual preventative maintenance. He also told me to consider adding a water safety valve for my furnace as a precaution. I definitely will. I felt very comfortable with SMECO’s recommendation.

Great communication from Luis to let me know when he was coming. He did an impressive job of diagnosis to determine a couple loose wires and bad thermostat. I could not be happier and will request him by name for any future calls.

Prices are reasonable and fair. Get the membership!
Owner is understanding and will work with you on extending quotes past the 30day limit, which was extremely helpful in my case.
