This is my first year with Genove. I have been very happy. Their service has been great and their staff very friendly and supportive. I had my first A/C system annual maintenance today 5/29/2020. Shawn was prompt, thorough, and friendly. He was very experienced and explained everything he did.

I've been using Genove for over 35 years for both heating and AC. They have installed new furnace and AC systems in the homes I've purchased and maintained them over the years. Every where I move I continue to use Genove. The service technicians have a long tenure at Genove and they have all been superb. Genove is the BEST!

I switched from another oil provider that was becoming outrageously expensive 4 years ago to Genove after doing extensive research into available companies that served Newton, MA.

Genove was one of the few at that time that provided me with transparency in costs per gallon of oil and didn't play any games with silly savings promotions and other nonsense that made it hard to determine actual costs.

Four years later and I'm still very happy with my choice. Genove's delivery costs are in line with the average of the Mass Oil Survey Website and the time I needed service, Genove did a great job at a good price.

You really can't go wrong with this high-quality family business. Highly recommended!

Have worked with them on multiple properties over the years with installation and maintenance of central air, major correction of systems installed by other incompetent contractors, oil delivery, heating /AC maintenance, and a few weeks ago a transition from a 1980s solar hot water heat exchange system. How wonderful to always be dealing with a professional crew, in the office and on site. If you want to work with people who are excellent at what they do and truly seem to enjoy working with you, this is the real deal.

Genove has serviced my boiler for the past 6 years, and I recently had them proactively replace my 40 year old oil tank that was well past its prime. Most of my heating is now done with an air source heat pump, so I downsized my oil tank since I use so little oil now. Shawn and Kevin were professional and worked with me to ensure a very clean install of a new double wall 165 gal tank that takes up half the space of my old one.

We're new renters and our landlords didn't give us much guidance in terms of how to fill our oil tank, so we did some research, took a shot in the dark, and used Genove Oil. They are FANTASTIC! I can't say enough good things about Rob and his team. They have been patient and thorough and their services are quick and easy. Every interaction I have had with them has been extremely positive. We'll be sure to recommend Genove to the new tenants!

Highly recommend Genove Oil. I am a new costumer, but I have already experienced how responsive and courteous they are. At the beginning, I had chosen them because they had the best heating oil price since I thought this would be a simple commodity, but it turns out that in additional to prices, they have excellent preventive maintenance, repair and oil delivery services. I had small heating issue in one of the Sunday coldest days in the winter, and they were able to be at home in about 1 hour after calling them to fix the problem. (Kudos to Jake and the whole Genove Oil team).

2026 Update: Ritchie came out this morning to look at a combi boiler unit replacement and give quote. Gave me honest feedback about age and performance of unit which I appreciated! It’s rare to see honest brokers these days and I always feel that Genove is different because they care more about their service reputation and customer relationships vs other companies who are just out for a quick buck. I’ve been with Genove for a few years now and have no regrets. Their customer service--from techs to management is top notch and I had ZERO issues when they recently installed a beautiful new water heater for me. I would recommend their services to anyone who needs an expert in this field.

Purchased our house over the summer and called Genove over others for their reviews and because they had done prior inspections on the furnace. Come time to get inspected this year and I can see why the previous owners relied on them.

Jake G. showed up exactly on time and was able to inspect, clean and talk to me about the furnace and things to watch out for in less time than was forcasted when I set up the appointment. He was already wearing a mask when I got to the door, politely introduced himself and got right to work. Really appreciate the work Jake did as well as how easy it was to sign up, schedule and pay for everything.

Genove has looked after the heating system in our family home for more than 40 years. Given that we had a resident HVAC engineer in the house, Genove had a high bar to clear, which they have continued to do over many years. Great service, professional, courteous, responsive, and respectful to the family's changing needs. I highly recommend them.

I was experiencing issues with my oil furnace system last night and Shawn O. from Genove came out within an hour of my call to provide service. He was friendly, professional, and resolved the issue quickly. Great guy all around. I have been with this oil provider for only six months and its comforting to know I really can count on them!

I have used Genove Oil & Air for decades. They have installed my heating systems and last summer central air. They have answered every call, no matter what day or time. I had my annual heating tune up today and, once again, am impressed by the service Genove provides. Danny came on time and took care of everything from a small repair in the attic to the tune-up in the basement. They always are prompt, professional, thorough and courteous. They answer all my questions. If everyone treated their customers as Genove does life would be better.

I cannot say enough about this Company. I have been a customer for many years. They have a great team with strong work ethics and very customer focused. It’s refreshing to find an organization that provides reliable services that meet or exceed your expectations in the care, maintenance and installation of your household needs. I am happy to be one their customers.

Their staff are terrific, they show up when they say they will, they do great work with ongoing service issues, and on the few times I have had an emergency they responded right away and solved the problem. All my dealings with Genove were great--personal, responsive, informed. Tom and Richie, the team who installed my new furnace in a small condo, managed to fit it into the small space created 30 years ago, found a way to make the vent invisible, solved all unexpected problems with good humor and ingenuity. It was a pleasure to have them around for two days!

We needed a new boiler. After a lot of research and getting a number of bids we chose Genove largely on the strength of and how good Tom was in handling what I thought our needs really were based on my research. I believe he listened to me and recommended the right system for our needs. Some companies recommended a system that was more than what I believe we needed. Genove was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. They're not an overly corporate company. You feel like you know them, even Rob whom I only ever spoke to over the phone. I had a couple of question on the bid, and they responded promptly. They scheduled the day of install (about a month out) and then showed up on that day. In other words, they know how to schedule. It was an excellent crew of three (Tom, Richie and Ryan). It all went like Tom said it would, which given the age of homes around here is sometimes not at all the case. The system has been in now for nearly a month. It's great. Works just like it was advertised to. It looks really nice too. I've been a machinist (lathes milling machines, etc.) and have plumbed more than a few things in my life, so I appreciate good craftsmanship, and I'm very happy with the system. I don't know if it's saving me money yet vs the old 1970's system it replaced as I don't have enough billing experience with it yet. I expect it will, and if not I'm sure they'll help me figure out why. No issues with the system yet. I expect if anything comes up it'll be taken care of. These guys are classic New England folk Funny, no-bull, hardworking, respectful. It was a pleasure to have them around for a couple of days. I recommend Genove for your oil and air needs.

We have used Genove for several years now. A few months ago, chaos ensued in our basement and soot was raining everywhere. Shawn from Genove was over almost immediately on a Saturday morning with a quick diagnosis. Basically our chimney liner was completely deteriorated. He spent hours cleaning it up and letting us know what we needed to do to fix it. We booked a maintenance call for once that was fixed, and the gentleman who came spent a great amount of time making sure everything was working as it should. He recommended replacing our ductless and Shawn was back here within the week and installed it for us. Shawn was been more than helpful and informative. He's kind, knowledgeable & respectful, which is especially important during the pandemic when you have people working in your home. We highly recommend Genove!! Haven't had one negative experience!

I've been a Genove customer for 10 years and 3 houses. I've found the team to be prompt, clean, courteous, and do good work. They did a full central AC system in a 100 year old home, did regular maintenance at another, and most recently Josh came in and fixed a broken AC system (not their install) at our new home. I recommend them and will continue using them for all heating and cooling needs!

We got a report from a different HVAC company (the installer) about a refrigerant leak during annual maintenance. We've been looking to find a new HVAC maintenance company to use instead, and we had been recommended Genove by a coworker. They were able to get us on the books quickly. We're in Arlington. They were very professional and upfront about their pricing and the potential system problems. They sent out a technician (Shawn), who was fantastic. He walked me through each of the steps and was extremely transparent with the process. He ran two separate tests and found that there was no discernible leak. This was a situation in which a less honorable company might take the opportunity to upsell us on an expensive replacement or fix—a big reason we were looking for a new company instead of our installer—but Genove did not. Shawn was completely above-board. He confirmed our system is healthy, topped off the refrigerant, and gave us a clean bill of health. We'll be working with Genove and hopefully Shawn going forward!

I have an oil fired burner that's only five years old, but I had had some bad experiences with local oil companies, so when I needed to replace the burner for my rental apt, I switched that burner over to gas.

Thinking I was going to be stuck with bad service for years for the oil fired burner, I was pleasantly suprprised by the great service I received when I signed up with Genove Oil.

I became a new customer in September 23 and Franco has been nothing but professional and responsive in any transactions I've had with him.

AS far as I'm concerned this company is a rarity - they keep and deliver on all promises made and Franco is a true gentlemen, so I could not be happier.
In a 5 star system, I have to give them a 6th star.

I've been a long time customer of Genove Oil & Air and each time I have needed them to fix an issue they have been responsive, supportive and empathetic. Service Technician Frank came out today to fix a heating issue and with his expertise and troubleshooting he identified the problem, fixed it and got my heat running again. Being without heat in the winter is a humbling and stressful experience and you need a service partner you can trust to help you out - Genove Oil & Air is that company!
