We've lived in the area for over 25 years, but somehow avoided needing a plumber until the water main broke! So, we had several plumbers in the area submit quotes. We called Great Lakes Plumbing (The Plumber is Here!) and Misty was able to send Nick out quickly to have a look. We were impressed from the very start and decided to accept their bid. They got us scheduled timely, Nick and his crew showed-up on time and got the job done. We especially appreciated the attentive, friendly, positive and professional way we were treated. Great Lakes Plumbing is wonderful! I called with several plumbing issues that needed attention. I talked with a very pleasant lady who listened to my issues. Also, I wanted to replace toilets in two bathrooms. She followed through with pictures and cost/labor to replace them.

Nick was awesome to work with ! Down to earth and knowledgeable. Gave me an honest quote and when it took less time than anticipated he reduced the price without my asking! This is my 2nd time going with the company and both plumbers were genuine, honest, and a joy to work with. I will not go anywhere else! Can’t recommend them enough!

Hunter Larsen did an amazing job solving my problem of an on-demand hot water heater failing. I ended up buying a new unit and it was stalled beautifully. He took care to make sure all of the soldered welds were tight and clean. The office was great at scheduling the purchase and replacement and installation. Highly recommend.

We have used Great Lakes Plumbing for many years now and are always very pleased with their work. This morning, we had a plugged up toilet and we were so pleased that they were able to come today to fix it. Everyone we have ever dealt with at Great Lakes has been courteous and professional. The plumber always explains the cost and does excellent work.

I called them at 9 AM And they had someone out there within a couple of hours to handle an emergency situation! They send texts when they’re on their way, when they’re there doing the work, and then when they are done, which is so helpful! When my sump pump failed at 1:00 AM, I was in full panic mode—water rising and no emergency plumbers available. Thankfully, Bob answered his phone right away and was at our door within 30 minutes. He quickly assessed the situation, got everything under control, and truly saved the day.

Not only was he incredibly responsive, but he was also professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. In a stressful situation, having someone so reliable made all the difference.

We’ve had to call Bob two times for emergency services regarding our downstairs pump. He was prompt both times and fixed the issue (both times right after Christmas!!). He was extremely helpful and FaceTimed attempting to troubleshoot the issue before charging for a service call. I truly appreciate that. I should also add both times were on a weekend and after hours, of course. Each time he provided multiple options for us.

Fun story: we never received an invoice for our first service and never once did they hound us for a missed payment/unpaid service. We actually had to call him to be billed. There was a mix-up with the names, but he was thankful and appreciative! Bob’s very personable!

I do have to detract a star only because our 2nd experience provided very little answers. Due to the lack of invoice from the first call, we did not have a record of what actually transpired so when we had an identical issue a year later, it was concerning. Both times it appeared that a towel-like object wrapped itself around the pump causing a complete blockage and destroying the pump in the process. When asked how this could happen, we were told that someone would need to flush it down the toilet. While we have a toddler, she was barely a year old the first time it happened. There was absolutely no way she could have flushed something, and the 2nd time she still didn’t know how to operate the toilet (she didn’t know how to work the handle). Me nor my husband are in the business of flushing hand towels and wash cloths.. That said, the 2nd time we did not receive notice of the cause until the pump was taken back to the shop and pictures were sent. The pictures looked identical to the first issue, so we were a little shocked and very confused questioning if there was a potential mixup. Due to the nature of the unexplained towel, it was denied as a warranty issue. Womp womp.

Regardless, due to the overall efficiency and willingness to help, the good outweighs the bad and Bob is our go-to emergency plumber!
