I would recommend Les Jones Roofing. I worked with them to get my roof replaced due to a hail damage insurance claim. Rob submitted photos and paperwork to my insurance company to convince them to replace the roof in full - he was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Their foreman and workers were professional and efficient and did a good job, including cleanup - some minor siding damage which occurred during the roof replacement was repaired at no additional cost. All-in-all, it was a positive experience - give them a call if you need a new roof.

Absolutely fantastic support and services by Les Jones Roofing! I can't thank them enough for everything they did to repair the hail damage on our tile/very unique roof. Jeff provided incredible help in working with me and my insurance company to ensure nothing was missed and the unique elements of my roof were covered/fixed. The repair work was expertly done by extremely professional and skilled individuals. Everything exceeded my expectations. There is truly no other roofing company that I would call or let on my roof. I highly recommend Les Jones Roofing for their expert/professional support and services. Outstanding company and people who are great to work with and get the job done right!!!

I've had both my business (flat top) roof replaced as well as my old S. Mpls home roof replaced by Les Jones. They do an outstanding job, and work well with any insurance claims. I can tell they are detailed and the personnel are well trained. They clean up very well after the work is done. If you want your roofing done right, these are the folks to do it.

The work was on a garage hip roof. It required all the 1926 Spanish tile to be lifted, some failed decking replaced, PSU-30 ice/water shield over the entire roof and all the tile relaid. The 3-4 man team completed the work on time and on budget. The team was knowledgeable, quality driven, aesthetically determined and thorough from start through cleanup. The 4 sided hip roof looks fantastic.

Michael gave us a clear, detailed estimate and explained all of our options. His team worked efficiently and left no mess behind. The new roof looks incredible, and we’re very satisfied.

Unprofessional, unethical, aggressive and more - to say the least. Jason, no need to post your polite response saying you’d be happy to learn more about what happened. I called you personally - but obviously the owners chose not to reach out and acknowledge the incredibly unprofessional behavior of one of your salesman. This behavior must be coming from the top down.

I had a great experience from start to finish. The quote beat the other companies in town who can handle a tile roof by 20-30% (2 other quotes received). Job was started on time and completed quickly in part thanks to good weather. Crew was friendly and professional. Old tiles were stacked so nothing was broken (see pics). I just mowed and weeded the front of my home and didn't find a single scrap or nail to pick up. If you have a unique roof that needs expert workmanship I fully vouch for this crew!

Well, I don't think I can be expected to provide anything other than a negative review after being charged for work that was not properly addressed the first time the crew came out to repair a leaky roof.

Use Les Jones Roofing if you want to deal with repeated visits and expenses. I'll certainly go elsewhere if/when I need roofing repairs.

We are big fans of Les Jones Roofing. They were a preferred vendor for our insurance company and handled everything on time, professionally, and with great communication from both the sales person and the scheduler. We had used them before for a rubber membrane flat roof on a townhome and also for this roof 20 years ago. No issues no leaks. Highly recommend.

Les Jones Roofing installed custom copper gutters on our 1927 south Minneapolis house with an original Ludowici Spanish tile roof. This is specialized work and there are only a few companies in the Twin Cities with the skill to do this well. From start to finish, Les Jones performed the work with care and quality. The job required extensive scaffolding, and the team took the time to make sure the landscaping around the house was well protected. The workmanship is evident - from the gutter and downspout sections that were soldered on site, to the custom bowtie straps the Les Jones sheet metal shop fabricated for the downspouts. Many thanks to the Les Jones team we worked with (Jeff, Tom, Matt, Pete) - they get my strongest recommendation.

If I could give them more stars I would! We needed some repairs done (they did not complete original roof work) and I cannot say enough good things about this group - super thorough in explaining everything and very fast to evaluate the issues and came back the next day for repair work, excellent work. I would recommend this group to anyone and will be calling them if we need further roofing services!

Our home is a historic home with a lot of history and we wanted to keep in line with the original look and feel of this unique home. We and all that witnessed the removal and then installation of our cedar roof and shakes was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and craftsmanship that was performed. We continue to receive compliments not only on our home, but also the company and crew that performed the work. Many neighbors still comment on what a professional team that installed our roof and siding. The repairs to the home in areas was equally professional also performed by Les Jones. We would proudly recommend Les Jones as their quality and commitment to our wants and needs where met and exceeded. We highly recommend Les Jones.

We own a historic home that required special attention, and we hired Les Jones Roofing because of their familiarity with 100+-year-old roofs. They did an excellent job retaining the historic character of our home while completing the tile relay.

Their quote was spot on, with no surprises, and they were very helpful navigating the few issues that arose during the process. The salesperson was straightforward and informative, and the crew that completed the work was professional, respectful, and clearly experienced.

We are very happy with the final result and would absolutely hire Les Jones Roofing again.

It was a pleasure, once again, working with all you folks at Les Jones Roofing. My new built-in gutter is fabulous. Jose Perez and Diesel Smith were a pleasure to deal with. They were polite at all times and Jose was patient in answering all of my questions.

Tom, the project manager, was attentive and engaged through his many visits and questions to me. Dave, the estimator, got off to a good start and wrote me a nice letter about my slate roof that I can show to prospective buyers if I decide to sell my house.

Thank you for a great job and pleasant experience.

They did a great job of selling me on their company. They did a great job installing new roof. However, they did not do a good job cleaning up. Had to call them back to clean up and reattach some of my gutter guards.

I called Viking Contractors after receiving their mailing with very detailed storm information. They sent out Luis to inspect our property. He verified that there was in fact hail damage on my roof! We now have a new roof thanks to him and his team at Viking! Thank you guys and the ladies at the office you have all been very helpful and made my first roof replacement as a homeowner very easy! Thank you once again!

I called to make an appointment a week ago and i was supposed to have someone come out to inspect my roof at 10 am on 9/13/22 and no one showed up. I called on 9/13 at 3 pm and was told I wasn’t added to the schedule for some reason. The woman said something about your system has issues etc so she was going to schedule an appointment for the next day 9/14/22 and she’d call back after getting my info in the system to set up a time and never called back. Very disappointing. Making appointments and no one shows up who does that? Oh but I did magically get a survey text message asking how my inspection went. Really!? No one came out.

I get that businesses buy numbers and then spam people relentlessly, but Viking Contractors take it to a new level. I have repeatedly replied “stop” and when that didn’t work I called them and the person I spoke to said they would take my number off the list. Then I get this. Like is this a joke? Viking Contractors certainly is. Wouldn’t do business with a company this unprofessional, look elsewhere.

I was not looking to have my roof replaced. I was solicited by a mailer addressing hail damage. I called and they came & inspected. Roof was 21 years old. They told me there was damage and said they could work with USAA, my insurance company. They told me I could have roof replaced and only pay my 1% home value deductible. We completed contract and then I started researching Standing Seam steel roofs. I asked if the company installed them and was told they had special crews that could install. Upcharge was significant but the product looked like quality.
Paperwork was completed in early July ‘21 with work to begin in late August ‘21. Supply Chain or Manufacturer problems delayed start due to material availability. Work finally started and things went well until I learned that the crew chose not to use pieces that Manufacturer said should be used. They were left in the material pile along with probably 1,000 pounds of assorted steel trim flashing and other pieces not required but paid for. I finally convinced “a” supervisor I would like the roof to be installed the way the manufacturer intended. Work was interrupted when they ran out of roofing panels. They, unfortunately we’re not included in the overstock. Took about 3 weeks for remainder of materials. Up to this point the roof looked good.
When they returned in 3 weeks the days were much shorter and they had fallen behind schedule. This caused them to work well past dark using only flashlights to illuminate what they were working on. I questioned the project manager Keith asking about safety and quality concerns and was told they wanted to complete before it snowed and they often worked past sunset. I let it go. They finally got the job complete to their satisfaction or standards. I climbed on the roof and discovered numerous discrepancies that were not readily visible from the ground. They told me that the fix required more materials that had to be ordered. Work was suspended until late March ‘22. They completed the job and the ordeal was over. We are satisfied with the end result but not with the difficulty in achieving it. The crew was always timely, professional and very responsive to our requests but concerns had to be run through Keith who was not very responsive or timely. Contacting him on the phone was difficult and e mail responses took 2-3 days. I don’t know what his main function is but he never checked in at the job site. Ishmael May have been his assistant and he came by twice to address concerns. The language barrier with a Latino crew was frustrating. They had one worker whose English was much better than my Spanish but it was still difficult. The communication was one way with the office. They didn’t check in with me unless I called, emailed or texted. The sales Rep was very nice and showed more concern than the folks in management. After they had finished and “cleaned up” screws, nails and metal my wife and I did our own sweep and filled a one-gallon zip loc bag with sharp scrap that at a minimum would have resulted in a punctured tire or two on my lawn tractor and at worst could have caused significant injury to our 3 dogs or our 3 young grandchildren.
Had I known then what I know now I think I would have been inclined to contract locally with a company that specializes in Steel Roofing Installs. I’m certain the crew we had are wizards at replacing asphalt shingles with new asphalt shingles but I don’t think they were as proficient with steel as I was led to believe when I signed the contract.

I was unhappy but after the installation was finally performed, they did a great job and cleaned up very well

I am very unhappy. The scheduled date of my install of my roof is now pushed back...it was supposed to be tomorrow but now it's Thursday. We will see if they hold up to the end of the contract. I paid them many thousands of dollars and am extremely unhappy

On time. Called to reschedule when it was rainy. Polite and professional. Quick and showed pictures and talked through what he saw. Honest opinions about the status which I appreciated. Will use them when we decide to get a need a new roof!
