Bill's diagnostics and solution to our problem were fantastic. We are very appreciative of his expertise and hard work on a very cold, snowy day. He helped us a great deal and we are most grateful to him and the Hero team for their responsiveness.

Experienced Heating Thermostat issue on weekend with sub zero temps. Contacted HERO and they replied with excellent service. Luke the Hero Technician was knowlegeable of the Carrier product, performed a check of the system and assured it worked properly prior to leaving. Luke was courteous and explained the system in a way that was understood by my wife and I. I highly recommend HERO.

We had frozen pipes. Their texting contact ahead of time was A+. Anthony, the service tech, was personable and professional. He explained everything and went through options and costs. It was excellent service, and now we have water again!

The The personnel at Hero are outstanding and professional from the moment when I called spoke to the secretary this morning that handled me until she passed me to burnt and when Brent showed up, he asked, I asked every question he answered every one of them let me know the whole 9 yards that was wrong. He didn’t just walk in and say this is the problem. He went through a series of equations to the whole thing so he could make sure there was no other problems besides the one that I had I really appreciate it. Thank you people they’re excellent.

My husband scheduled an appointment on a late Tuesday night at around 10pm and the next day, Hero sent Dominque (Dom for short), out to check what’s going on with our floor pipes. I had washed dishes throughout the whole day and walked into the laundry room with water flooded all over. We’ve tried snaking, manually scooping and dumping water from the main drain, and still couldn’t figure out what the issue was. Dom came over in the morning of Wednesday and was super informative and knowledgeable. He explained what he was going to do for a diagnosis first, and then he will discuss fixing and financial plans. He snuck his wired camera down the drain and was willing to show me what was going on. My husband and I decided to go with the cable floor drain that comes with BioOne, a non toxic non acidic solution to rinse out any debris under. It took him probably about 45min to maybe an hour to complete his job. We are now able to use our laundry washers, and wash dishes without a concern of over flooding, thanks to Dom and Hero for handling this quickly!

Jake Sponsler was an excellent electrician. He carefully described what he found, and what the risks were if not fully addressed. After completing the work, he patiently explained what was done and how the work should help prevent any major electrical issues going forward. I really appreciated working with him.

Plumbing. Cleared clog in line. Service was very responsive; same afternoon. Communicated well and met arrival time. Neal was very professional, polite, communicative. Explained everything clearly and avoided unnecessary billing even though I had agreed to a higher estimate if needed. Took care to clean up. Excellent service overall. Thank you!

Buyer Beware; they will try to take advantage of you, if they can. I called them out to fix a failed HRV (ventilator). The unit was only 3 years old and still under warranty. After trouble shooting, the tech Said the unit had a bad control board and motor. He quoted $600/$700/$800 as options to repair. (the higher numbers get you into the “happy homeowner club”.) When asked why the high cost for a unit under warranty, he said the money was to pay for Hero to process the paperwork. I was going to accept and then he said the motor has been on back-order for a year. I then declined. He asked if he could do a courtesy inspection of my furnace while he was there. I agreed. He came back and said the furnace was extremely dirty and the fan and burners needed to be cleaned. The dirt was causing the burners to run rich. He showed me the flue gas readings that verified the unit was running rich. He quoted $800/$900/$1100 to clean the furnace. I know that cleaning the burner tubes takes less than 1 hour. So this was about 5X market rate. I declined.
Today I had an honest HVAC tech out to clean the furnace and troubleshoot the HRV. He checked the flue gas readings and adjusted the gas regulator. He said someone has turned the adjustment screw and forced the furnace to run rich. Gee, I wonder who did that? In 10 minutes he had the furnace adjusted and running like new. There was no issue with dirty burners. I would strongly recommend you get a second opinion for any recommendations made by Hero. My experience shows them to be not trustworthy.

Chris was great, he checked over our furnace and humidifier to make sure it was running properly. He was very thorough and gave his recommendations on the things we need to keep an eye on. He was not pushy on trying to sell anything which is greatly appreciated. It was a great experience and am glad I signed up with HERO.

Chris came by for *not just* a furnace tune up; there was nothing “mere” about his visit. He took a thorough look at the entire utility room, noting areas of concern other than the furnace, other appliances that may be affecting the performance of our heating system. He was willing to explain each step of the process, distilling the ins and outs of the furnace in a manner I could understand. He spoke at length with me about his findings and prepared several quotes so I can think through possible repair options. I appreciate that all Hero technicians prepare written and photo documentation of their work for easy review. Most of all, I appreciate the time (as time is a valuable commodity) Chris spent with us evaluating our heating system in the context of our family life. I trust that we will seek Hero again with our heating and cooling needs.

We had great service with Hero and our technician Dylan. He was very knowledgeable about what was going on and took the time to describe it so both me and my wife understood the issue. The quality of work was great and he took the time to describe other issues in the house that may still exist because of our water softener failure. I would recommend Hero and specifically Dylan to anybody who has issues with their plumbing.

Scott was wonderful! He and Hero went above and beyond to take the call that was near end of day. When Scott arrived he was very professional and I can see the skills and experience he has as he was able to quickly determine the issue and resolved it. He also took the time to address my questions and explained it very well and I am very appreciative of his determination to help customers.

We have had all of our drains done but the upstairs tub and the kitchen sink. Our tub was not draining properly so I reached out to David Nelsestuen at Hero. David was the technician that did our main line. He investigated the plumbing and put together some options and quotes. He said he would try the most cost effective route first and it worked out well. I would highly recommend David and Hero as I have

Had a kitchen sink that needed to be unclogged. The technician was professional, courteous, and did a very good job. No complaints about the work itself.

He was here for less than an hour, and the final price was $512.59. I needed the issue resolved the same day, but in my opinion that is quite expensive for a fairly straightforward job. I understand there are real costs involved in running a service business, but the pricing felt out of line for the scope of work.

Pat responded to our request to have our water softener looked at, as we noticed a notable change in our water quality. He quickly diagnosed our problem, while also providing tips on other home plumbing maintenance, and presented our options. He was honest about the different paths we could choose. He was very personable and friendly, even sharing his own experiences with us. We ultimately went with a whole water softener replacement. Mou came to finish the job and did great. Hardly knew he was in the house working because he was so diligently installing.

The only reason for 4 stars is due to the cost of the new system. But it likely wouldn't have been much different elsewhere and HERO provided same day service. 5 stars to Pat and Mou!

I’ve two experiences with Hero I’d like to call out here to ensure that two of their personnel are highlighted.

Most recently Taylor was here to help us troubleshoot an electrical issue that quickly resulted in us discovering just how fast the previous owner flipped the house. Taylor was extremely knowledgeable and indulged in my nerdiness to learn more about our panel as well. Super nice and would be happy to have him back any time.

A few weeks back we also had Alex over to help service our boiler. Alex was super sweet as well and even remembered our newborn son’s name before he left as he said goodbye!

Both techs were extremely personable, polite, and genuinely the kind of folks you could absolutely have a beer with if you had the chance. I’m extremely grateful to both for helping us out and glad hero employs such great folks who don’t pressure you with upsells.

We called Hero yesterday when our furnace quit and again today for an unrelated gas leak. Yesterday, we called late morning and Andrew, an HVAC tech came over within a couple of hours. He replaced a part and we had heat by late afternoon. Andrew was awesome - knowledgeable , courageous, and professional. He was a pleasure to work with and knew what he was doing. Prior to yesterday we knew we had a small gas leak in our basement. Andrew called a plumber who arrived this morning. Sean was also professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He repaired the leak in a timely manner and was also a pleasure to work with.

Both Andrew (HVAC) and Sean (plumbing) are real assets for Hery and represent the company in the best way possible. We will definitely call Hero again and will gladly recommend them to friends and others.

Mike was great! He always shows up on time and is super friendly and does a thorough job. He explains in detail what he finds and answers all of my questions. Hero is very friendly and communicative and always responds very quickly. Highly recommended!

I’ve used Hero for all of my plumbing and heating needs shot 3 different houses. The communication is always top notch and easy to schedule over text. I love the bios and information on who my technician is as they are en route and the technicians have always been knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I’ve never been upsold or pressure. They truly have been a great company to work with and I’ll continue to work with them in the future.

Basey recently completed some electrical work in my home. He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to make sure things were done correctly and safely. He made sure I understood what he was doing. When the job was finished, he cleaned everything up and left the area spotless. I truly appreciate the time he spent and the quality of the work he completed.
