I do not recommend this company at all. Beware! They have several fees they will charge you - one for arriving at your home and another for them being there "working". Our service person took a full hour to look at our system and tell us there was nothing they could do to help us and then charged us a full hour of labor. Total bill = $250!

Had a sales rep come out on Friday to give me an estimate on replacing my A/C. He's the only one out of 5 companies that didn't write up an estimate on the spot. Said he'd email the estimate and never did. Went with another HVAC company.

We were so happy to have Owens come promptly to get our heat working again - at a reasonable cost! Courteous - knowledgeable - thorough - and effective. Wish we had found them 20 years ago.

Wonderful service! We had an issue with our furnace early December and they were right there when we needed help. Plus, the fee was inexpensive while the customer service was outstanding! Thank you Rolland and Blake!

I had a positive experience with them a few years ago but had a few bumps in getting a quote for a new furnace and AC Overall the staff is great and they are thorough in their analysis. I wouldn't hesitate to call them to work on any of my systems.

Love this local, service driven company! They installed my Thermopride furnace over 35 years ago, and have kept it tip-top ever since. From the scheduler to the service technician, friendly and efficient.

A technician came to fix my wine cooler. He thought he had made the correct diagnosis, but when we tried his fix, the cooler did not work. Owen kindly did not charge me for his time and I was very impressed by this.

Called to have regular service on my boiler before the heating season. Gentleman showed up in the 2 hour window provided. Was very friendly, a good communicator, and able to answer all my questions. He showed me how to monitor the pressure of the heating system and how to add water. He cleaned the unit and inspected for safety. A++ Service. Thanks!

I have worked with Owens Companies for a number of years and each time they come back, I'm 'blown away' by the service I've received. Last weekend when the temps dropped, my furnace wouldn't fire-up. I called John P. for advice and he offered to come over and get it going. As we talked, he stated he was in Brainerd, MN closing up his cabin for the winter. I told him, 'No Way' that he could come on the following Monday. Sunday night, I received a call around 5:00 pm, it was Mike. He said he was on his way home from the lake and could stop by if I wanted. I told him I could wait until tomorrow (Monday) and he said it no problem. By 6:00 pm Sunday evening, my house was warming up! Mike, you're the best! 5 STARS!

After we had gotten conned by another company, we called Owens Company. John the owner called us personally to help us figure out how to move forward since we had already spent $300. He sent over a technition the next day who did a very thorough job. While the the technition was over, John stopped by the job to introduce himself and make sure everything was taken care of. They were very honest and give a good name to the industry. There are so many bad comapnies that will try to get every dollar they can but Owens does not do that. We will always go with Owens for any future issues.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. On a cold and snowy Friday night a our furnace stopped working. A different company came out and told us that our entire furnace needed to be replaced. We contacted Owens for a second opinion. They were out at our house the next morning and had our 29 year old furnace fixed and running within 20 minutes. SO THANKFUL!!!

I'm an HVAC electrician, but I'm not a tinner or a fitter. I mostly work on extremely large institution size heating and cooling units. I know my limitations. These are the guys I call to fix my own furnace when I need help. I've had some very difficult problems on my own furnace twice now, and these guys were able to fix it. They show up on time, and fix what needs to be fixed. It's just nice to have a contractor that finally just shows up, and gets the job done. No hassles, and my furnace works when they leave.

Our air conditioner was not working and Joe arrived on time with a smile on his face. He completed the work and suggested a tune-up to keep our unit running for the rest of the season. He was efficient and honest.

We had an excellent experience working with Owens Company. We were given a great explanation of our options for installing air conditioning in old Minneapolis home with radiated heat--and decided to go with a mini-split. A week later it was installed, one upstairs unit and one down stairs unit. And just in time for the first real heat wave of the summer. Thanks, Owens!

Their service is fast, expert, and top notch quality. At a recent visit, their repair person not only fixed the problem that led to the call, but also noted a clogged filter and replaced that, and beyond that noted a gas leak at our auxiliary generator, and repaired that. We had been unaware of the leak since it was outside our house. What makes this even more remarkable is that this Owens neither installed nor services the generator! I would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation.

Owens is AMAZING! We sold our home and one of the last details of the inspection was that our air exchange had to be repaired in order to close. We had received bids from others and they wanted to about a thousand dollars.. Owens came out and recognized that we only needed one small part for a few hundred dollars. HONEST and quick turn around is greatly appreciated!

A couple years ago our aging air conditioner went on the fritz and I was in the unfortunate position of having to replace both it and the furnace. It was a dizzying experience trying to figure out the best product and company to do the work. Enter John Owens, the President of Owens Companies. I have known John for many years but never had the opportunity to use his company. He took a personal interest in seeing that we understood the available products and could make an informed decision about the purchase. The pricing was very competitive and the installation and follow-up could not have been better. If you are looking for quality service and a great selection of heating and air conditioning products I would highly recommend Owens Companies.

We were so impressed with Owens company. Our air conditioner broke down on one of the hottest days of this summer and our huskies were miserable. The receptionist said they were really busy, but they were still able to get a technician out on that same day. Such quick and thorough service and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. So nice to see customer sevice like this still exists:)

We were REALLY pleased and impressed with the service technician. Rich, and service from Owens. We called Owens to get a second opinion on our central a/c because another firm said we needed to replace it. The Owens tech thoroughly inspected the system, removed excess coolant, dried the wet areas of the unit (that should not be wet) and gave us advice to help us keep the old unit going for awhile. We are thrilled that we do not yet have to invest in a new system. Good thing we called Owens! We'll definitely call them again for heating, cooling, and ventilation needs in our old home.

After having some negative experiences with our HVAC company, we switched to Owens Companies. Since then Owens has installed 2 new AC units for us and has done repair service on some of our other units. They have done a great job every time they have been here. It's nice to work with a company that is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Owens Companies.

Last month, on one of the coldest days of the year, our boiler started making noise and I was forced to shut it down, leaving us with no heat source. The company I usually call was unable to come over so I got to work calling companies that specialized in boiler repair. I left a message on the Owens Companies after hour line. It was late in the day on a Saturday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised to get a return call from Stacie 30 minutes later. I was very impressed that she took the time to help trouble-shoot the problem, even asking me to take a short video of the noise the boiler was making. She then took the time to discuss the problem with one of her techs before calling me back. She said that it was most likely the boiler pump making noise and told me to go ahead and leave the boiler running. She also said that if I needed a service call at any time during the night I could call her. On Sunday morning the temperature in the house dropped to 48 degrees so I called Stacie and within 2 hours Aaron arrived and 1 hour later he had my boiler running and solved the noise coming from the boiler pump. Apparently a left over spring was left inside the pump from a previous service company. I was impressed with the absolute professionalism of both Stacie and Aaron and that their company did not try to up-charge me with additional (unneeded) parts. Stacie was kind and compassionate and when you are facing a night without heat, just being able to talk with someone as knowledgeable as Stacie put me at ease because I knew that I could call her during the night if I needed. Owens Companies offers the superior customer service that is truly one-in-a-million!!!
