Our experience with Cichy’s was so different from the other companies we interacted with and got bids from (we talked to three others). Not only was their bid the lowest, but they stayed within 10% of it, no hard sales approach, etc. They took good care to save our rose bush in front while digging, and the whole crew were incredibly nice people. They really hire good people and everyone there was amazing. I don’t often write reviews like this but Cichy’s stands out as exceptional, especially dealing with such a stressful plumbing situation.

Cichys came out to install a sewer liner in my 1923 home. The guys were very friendly and courteous, putting down tarps to avoid tracking in dirt from outside and cleaned up the area they worked on in the basement.

I own two houses in Uptown Minneapolis. My sewer line needed to be replaced in 2008. I chose Cichy and they did an outstanding job! The second house also needed to be replaced in August 2025 and I went with Cichy again. They relined the entire sewer line, communication was perfect, and the plan they presented to me was absolutely flawless! I had competing offers, Cichy was the low bid, and the value will be all mine for decades!

this business is has gone above and beyond what I would have expected a business to do! Customer service was more then amazing any time I called they got to work finding it out! Doing the work water line connection to city water from well was very minimal damage to yard, couldn't even tell that they were there digging! highly recommend them to anyone

I would highly recommend Cichy's for any type of sewer and water repair work. I needed to have my sewer repaired and they dug up and replaced part of it and put a liner in the part that they didn't need to dig up. Initially, Mark came out to assess the situation. He's very knowledgeable about sewer systems and he's very understandable in explaining how these systems work and how they repair them. Mark stuck with me through the whole process, answering any questions that I had and keeping the project going. Clearly he's an expert in his field.
The actual project seemed rather difficult. The crew were obviously well trained and knew what to do. They had to work hard, it's obviously not an easy job. But, they kept at it and I believe that they had to do a little more work than they had planned for. Yes, there was a little work to be done after they finished (replacing grass, etc), but that was to be expected when an 11 foot whole was dug in my yard. In my case, they had to dig three deep holes, but they did so in a way that avoided replacing panels of sidewalk and curbing, which would have added quite a bit of expense and would have extended the project timeline. It's always good to get a couple of quotes, but if you want your job done correctly and done at a reasonable price, I would recommend Cichy's. They are a Minneapolis family owned business with years of experience.

Having the sewer backup in our basement felt like a nightmare, especially as it occurred on the week of Thanksgiving. But the folks at Cichy Water and Sewer gave us hope we would be taken care of and we were! Jessica in their office was always reachable through phone call, text or email; Mark came out to scope out the line and identify the problem (at no charge!) and the crew who did the work were helpful, respectful and totally professional. I give them my highest recommendation.

I recently received two notices from the City of Minneapolis regarding the material of my home's water service line and water quality, prompting me to search for a quote from a reputable company for a video diagnostic. Cichy’s Water & Sewer replied immediately. After I made a deposit and explained my concerns to Jessica, she proactively offered to research the service line records directly with the City of Minneapolis before proceeding with the costly diagnostic.

Jessica followed up with documents confirming that my water service line is copper, making the video diagnostic unnecessary. She promptly reimbursed my deposit and canceled the appointment. I was extremely impressed by Cichy’s outstanding customer service and honesty in prioritizing my existing records over pushing a non-essential service

Cichy’s were patient, considerate professionals from beginning to end. When I first called, I’d already received a quote from a plumber that said I’d need an entire sewer lateral replacement (cap the old line, drill a new one, dig up my basement, the street, the whole shebang), and they came in at half that quote for a repair (lining) that they completed successfully. Mark took time to explain why he thought a replacement wasn’t necessary, and saved me gobs of money, headaches, and stress. The crew was so considerate, communicative, and left a clean work site.

When a sewer scope inspection revealed multiple areas of root growth and heavy cracking with a broken line, Cichy's was able to clean out the roots, do a Cipp liner (plastic lining) to repair the cracks/broken line at a great price compared to competitors. From start to finish, they did a fantastic job! It was easy to schedule, communicate with the staff as to how the job would be done, and the crew did an excellent job of replacing the portion of sidewalk they had removed to access the sewer line. It was hard to tell it had been moved at all! Finally, they sent a copy of the sewer scope video to show the repaired pipe. I would highly recommend this company!

I cannot recommend Cichy's strongly enough! Mark, the owner, is a standout professional not just for his expertise, but for his patience, accessibility, and honesty. Mark has consistently given advice on what he thinks is best for our house, and has gone the extra mile to provide information and advice even where that resulted in less work for his team. The office team is extremely responsive and proactive in communication and their prices are fair.

I called Cichy's to get a second opinion on a plumbing issue and had an outstanding experience with Mark! He reassured me that what another company made sound urgent wasn't nearly as dire, explained, in detail, why, walked me through realistic timelines, and offered practical solutions for the future. He was thorough, clear, and genuinely informative.

This team was amazing. They helped in explaining what steps needed to be taken, and made the whole process of getting a new sewer line at our house,(which is on the market) put into place and ready in three days!! Our line needed to be replaced because is a 150 foot belly in the pipe. CICHY rocks thanks so much!!

Installed a new water heater tank for our home. The plumber ensured correct installation, proper venting, and safe gas connections. He explained maintenance steps clearly. Excellent plumbing installation service and very courteous staff.
