Jake was very helpful and pleasant. I called him one day when my parents water heater couldn't work. He told me he will come over after every plumber I called was not available that day. Jake knew the problem and he was able to walk me into fixing it myself over the phone. After only 5 minutes, I was able to fix it with his help. I recommend Jake to anyone. Thanks.

We live near Lake Como and moved into our home less than 9 months ago. When our kitchen sink wouldn't drain the other night, I was clueless of who to call for plumbing services. After reading numerous reviews, I couldn't help but choose Jake the Plumber; who sounded loyal and down to earth. Jake was just that and more! He sent Ngu, who was friendly and efficient. Ngu cleaned our pipes that very same morning. After realizing that we would also need a new drain, Jake came out (the same day!!) and replaced our drain. The entire time Jake was extremely friendly, down to earth, and told us everything that he was doing repairs on so we could learn through the process. Jake is the person everyone needs in their life - someone they can call with plumbing/AC concerns and trust that they're getting loyal and reasonably priced services. When making an appointment, Adam (Jake's assistant) was straightforward on the phone, telling me what the service would cost, so that I wasn't blind sighted at the end of the process. Thank you, Adam, Ngu, and Jake - You are fabulous people and were a huge blessing to our family in a time of need!! Your company will be the first we call in the future when we need help again!

I called 4 plumbers before I called Jake. They were either busy or had no idea how to solve my problem when I explained the situation and wouldn't even come out to check. I called Jake the plumber and they came out that day. They were super friendly and discovered the water heater was leaking underneath by using a camera, then showed me the video demonstrating the problem. They also found my water pressure was low and discovered the water softner (which was likely original with the old house) was failing causing the water pressure issues. The work was great and they were incredibly friendly. I definitely recommend Jake.

Best experience I’ve had with a plumber. Professional, thoughtful, courteous. Stew (Stu?) went out of his way to make sure I understood what was happening and when, and took care to ensure that our cats didn’t sneak out and that our home stayed clean.

The price was also excellent. $1500 for a new water heater, installation, and removal of the old water heater. I feel that this is as cheap as this could possibly be (especially considering a local plumbing chain wanted to charge us $4500 for the same job), and to also have the experience be fast and professional makes this a 5-star business.

They did the job right, on time, and right on budget without any upsells or BS. These are real Plumbers. I’ll recommend them to everyone.

We realized our water heater was leaking and Jake came out to replace our water heater the next day. He arrived within the half hour window as promised and was very professional! Jake even took the time to show me how the water heater worked and how to change the temperature settings. Would use Jake again! Highly recommended.

Our household had no hot water and Jake came out on a Saturday to fix the issue! First he asked the right questions and had me text a few photos. Then with a bit more investigation he was able to determine what the issue was - the vapor signal - was emitting. He came over, replaced the part, explained that you can't put paint next to a water heater, which my son did recently while sweeping the utility room. So now we know. Jake was friendly, prompt and helped us understand what needed to be done, I highly recommend him!

Sent them email in early April to obtain a quote for some really basic work that needed done—dishwasher hookup, farmhouse sink hookup, gas line connection for new cooktop and running line to connect an ice maker (newly remodeled kitchen). Provided images with demarcation to make it super easy. No response. Called the office after a week to see if they got my email and to verify I sent it to the correct address. They were to get back to me but never did.

I gave up and hired someone else. I get it, contractors are super busy right now and demand is high. But you have to be responsive and communicative. I generally like to support smaller, local business but they’re too busy for me.

Found another plumber who was able to do the work and I’m hiring him for more stuff this summer. He was incredibly busy too but he returns calls and communicates.

I had called several plumbing companies before I decided to hire Jake the Plumber. They were the first company not to treat me like I was a complete idiot. They were honest, compassionate and I didn't feel like they were trying to screw me. Timing for someone to come out was excellent! (same day). Stu Maxwell was sent. He was very friendly and easy going, made me laugh and helped educate me about my problem. He also fixed a leaky faucet for me at no extra charge. Jake the Plumber will be my go to plumber from now on!

Jake has been my go to guy for all my plumbing needs. Recently the company expanded and though I didn't know it, they offer HVAC services as well.

I talked to Jake on a Sunday when my furnace was down. He had a technician available to fix what turned out to be a stuck open pressure switch valve. The tech was here right when Jake said he'd be. They had the parts available to do the job, and were in and out in about 10 minutes!!! He also checked other components of my furnace to ensure there weren't other issues that contributed to the failure. I'm confident there won't be a need for a return visit.

If something happens in the future, Jake or Jake's staff get it done right the first time. Friendly professionals there and competitive rates!!!

When I lived in Saint Paul, I had a leak in my third floor bathroom and didn't know who to call. Luckily, I found Jakes through a Google search and was pleasantly surprised with how easy the whole ordeal became! I was able to get a plumber to my residence within a mere twenty-four hours, which was faster then any of the local competition. The plumber that worked on the job was named Stu. He was very timely, extremely knowledgeable, and carried a pleasant attitude throughout the entire service. He got the job done in just a few hours for a very reasonable price. On the website, I was even able to print off a coupon for a free inspection which Stu also performed. He was very thorough and explained everything in the simplest terms possible so that everyone involved knew exactly what was going on. Great service, great pricing! I can't recommend Jakes enough for plumbing problems; especially, due to the fact that all of their work comes with a lifetime guarantee! I definitely won't be looking around for who to call next time I have a plumbing issue, that's for sure.

I used Jake the Plumber to install a new toilet and they did a tremendous job. I worked with Steve, who was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I really liked that he worked hard to make sure the job was done right and wasn't all about the money. I felt like he really cared about how well the job was completed, which was awesome. I live in the Cathedral Hill area of St Paul and was having a hard time getting anybody to respond to my request for assistance with a fallen undermounted sink.I really appreciated that Jake (and Adam, the business manager) were so responsive and easy to work with.Not only did he addess the plumbing concerns, which included a garbage disposal removal, but Jake also provided referrals for repairing my sink. While the whole process was more expensive than I had anticipated, Jake was honest about the costs and I would definitely recommend Jake the Plumber and use his company again.

Jake the Plumber was our first experience with hiring a plumber, and we were very pleased. They were prompt, the cost was reasonable, they took the time to go over the repair in detail, and thoroughly answered any questions that we had. We live on the opposite side of the metro from Jake's, and thus had a travel cost, but it was well worth it. We will definitely use them again the next time we need a plumber.
