Caleb Kauffman, Drain Service Technician for Bonfe was excellent. He came in to provide a scope of our sewer line. He was courteous, friendly, meticulous in his work. He provided clear explanations of the needs for a new liner in our existing pipe. Interestingly enough, Bonfe provided this service free of charge.

appointment with Bonfe to clear a clogged bathroom sink. After refusing two upsells, the technician snakes the pipe and when done say there is a broken piece of pipe - that did not look all that broken to me, and that he cannot finish the job and I will need to call a plumber to finish the job, which Bonfe may be able to do tomorrow. At the time I am left with not use of my sink, and the sink filed with pipes. Then he wanted me to pay him, for what? I said I would be happy to pay when water flowed down the sink. He did not like that, but left, only to call me a bit later demanding payment or he will put in the order for a plumber, so I grudingly paid for a sink that does not drain, but has a nice collection of pipes. I intend to cancel my ongoing service agreement with them.

Harrison was super nice. Talked to my gated dogs whom are basically my kids (so major bonus points) was thorough and informative. Got our clog taken care of and was never appearing rushed in his service or work. Checked for gas leak from sewer smell to top it off for our safety. Only complaint had to do with wait time which from my calls and texts seem to be from overbooking. Good price with coupon was a bonus.

Very impressed with Bonfe's! They installed the sewer liner in a home I purchased and we unfortunately experienced some sewer backup shortly thereafter. Beth (in the office) was so great to work with, she was communicative and quick to respond. Our technician, Caleb K, was to the house within a half hour of me calling the office to report the issue. He fixed it quickly and explained to us what the root issue was and how Bonfe's will take care of it under our warranty to ensure it doesn't happen again. Their customer experience is top notch, they send a confirmation email and text as soon as a technician is on their way that includes their location so you know exactly what time they are arriving. They don't give you large time windows like other companies. No one wants to deal with sewer issues but I was extremely impressed with Bonfe's!

Had a drain clog that could not be accessed to run clean-out. 4 feet of metal pipe was removed and replaced with pvc pipe with clean-out. Line was then cleared. In addition to the base charge of $169 for drain clear and 50 feet clean-out, the placement of 4 feet of pvc with clean-out access cost an additional $300, for a total of $469. A non-discount plumbing company has stated this should not have been in excess of $250. Total job was accomplished within one hour, on-site.

Response from owner indicates can't compete with unlicensed handyman or small plumbing companies. The lower amount indicated was from very reputable plumbing company which I should have used and will use next time I have a need. Picture added.

I was extremely disappointed in the service from Bonfe. I couldn't believe I was charged $99 for the technician to vacuum out my drain. I could have done that with my shop vac. He didn't even snake it out. He started my water softener to recharge. After the softener was recharging for 3 hours, (2:30 p.m.) I called Bonfe to ask for help to get it to shut off. She said she would have someone contact me. No one bothered to call me. Then today, yesterday's tech, John, had a complimentary service call for a plumber to come out to quote me how much it would cost for a new floor drain. Why that couldn't be done over the phone I don't know. The time frame was to be between 10 and noon. At 9:00 a.m. I received a text message saying the tech was on the way. If I didn't reply they would reschedule me. Immediately I received another text saying since I hadn't replied, they were rescheduling me. Once again I had to call Bonfe and explain I was told the plumber would come between 10 and noon not at 9 a.m. Then I get a text saying the tech was on his way and would be at my house at 10.00. He arrived at 10.25. Chris was very nice and answered my questions. He did leave me with quotes for a new drain and a new water softener. After what I have gone through just to get someone to clean my drain which I don't feel was done and looking at your astronomical cost of a new drain and water softener installed, I will not purchase any thing and I will definitely not recommend your services or products to anyone. Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

First issue I had was I told them my sewage was backing up, this is an annual issue, can you clean the main line. I was charged $99 for him to say it wasn't and left. Two nights later my basement is flooded and sewage completely backed up. I had them come out today to clean since I had already paid. Shortly into it, I was told that it was done and that they were sending a camera crew because there was a gurgling noise. The camera person came and said there is a hole in my sewage line that needs to be replaced ASAP. I took the video and shared it with two other companies (including the one my city uses for their work) and both said they did NOT finish cleaning and it is unlikely there is any major damage that needs to be done in the short term. If there was, their quote was $2K less for the same exact work and did not require joining their monthly plan (which you have to commit to annually).

I also want to note they gave a quote to replace our laundry tub and it was almost $1K more than another large company. So it is very clear it is overpriced.

Net net: please call your smaller plumbers (or your city for recommendations) before getting cleaning or major work done

I scheduled the $99 rooter service with camera. I said I wanted my main line to the sewer cleared, it was under 100 feet, and I knew there was a root around 32-36 feet. The first guy they sent (Brenton) had a 35 foot drain snake, so could not do the job I requested. That service was supposed to come with a scope, too, which he also did not have, so I was always going to need a minimum of two visits even IF the first one would have been correct. So I called up to request the service I had actually scheduled. First, I was hung up on right before I was connected with a live person (very unhappy about that). So then I called back and Michael couldn’t help me, but said he’d have someone from the office call me. Frustrating, but somewhat understandable. So then Alex called. Very frustrating. He said he could send someone the next day to do what I wanted. Great! I confirmed it would be free? Nope! That’ll be another $99. Now very upset, I said no, I paid that yesterday and didn’t get what I ordered. You guys sent someone who couldn’t do the job I requested; that’s your mistake. Alex tried getting me off the phone, but I said no, this is not resolved. He eventually said he’d have someone else call me. So far, we’re at one star. And then I got to wait around for another phone call. Sabrina called me, and said she’d send someone to do the job I asked for the next morning for free. Yay, thanks Sabrina! So then I’m waiting around all morning, and I finally get the call at 11:23 that the tech is on his way and will be there in 30 mins (so I guess technically just under the wire for the morning), but not the guy they told me yesterday cuz his equipment broke but he’ll still need to come with the camera later cuz the guy they’re sending instead doesn’t have the scope. K. So Kyle arrives and is helpful, he does the job I wanted in the first place, and he says that the scope will still be coming later that day. Yay, more waiting around for me. So then 12:57 I get the next call that Derek will be arriving in half an hour. So he arrives, has me watch so I can see the pipes and ask questions (I liked the transparency there), and quotes me for a bunch of repairs that I said I’m not signing up for today, and says he’ll send the video. So now as I’m writing, it’s the next day, I still don’t have the video, and maybe a plumber is coming later this week to give me more quotes but I don’t know the time or anything. They earned back a star for eventually doing what I asked in the first place, but it should have been taken care of in the first visit. Instead, I got to waste time being angry on the phone and then waiting most of another day for two additional techs. And now I’m still waiting for the video of my sewer line. Before all this, I had considered signing up for that subscription plan, but not if every visit is going to be this much of a headache. But hopefully there’s less incompetence for other services. Anyway, Bonfe, if you’re reading, I’d still like that video please.

Excellent service. Should have started with Bonfe. Had a persistent problem with a bathroom drain. Had several other plumbing companies come out and charge an outrageous price only to have it stop up soon thereafter. Bonfe came out, charged a reasonable price and we have had no issues since. Kept in touch prior to scheduled appointment. No surprises. Friendly. Overall, very pleased and will now only contact Bonfe. Keep it up! Well done!

Plumber was knowledgable and able to diagnose issue right away. Also friendly and requested followup scoping from his team as part of work.

Got charged $99 for someone to come out. Never got an estimate. I emailed a few days later to inquire. Still no response. A whole week after my appt, I had to call and reach out again. Spoke to someone about never receiving estimate and requested my $99 back since I went with another company. A few minutes later they sent me an estimate that was 3 times the cost of what I payed going with another company for the complete work. I called to clarify I no longer wanted the estimate, just my $99 reimbursed. I was told someone would call me in 1-3 business days. It has now been 4 business days and no one has reached out.

We scheduled a sewer line inspection because our house is extremely old and we don't know what if any repairs had been done in the past. Adam came by and was very helpful and friendly. He explained everything he did and why he was doing it in an easy to understand way, and asked us multiple times throughout his visit if we had any questions, then answered them.

We will definitely be seeking out more of their services as we need them!

Excellent service..,from the initial communication, (including adding a bio of the technician) to the actual service itself! …and the fact that I paid exactly what I was quoted! 👍👍

I was very impressed with Alex! Kind, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I understood everything he was doing and why. I really appreciated how he went above and beyond. It is obvious that he is very proud of what he does!

I paid Discount Plumbing $598 on 8/18/22 to fix a leak where my garden hose connected to the hose reel in my garage. Their plumber put in a connector that leaked (1st picture). The same plumber returned, apologized, & said stores were closed & he couldn't buy the proper part. (He never told me this when he repaired it; nor did he return with the proper part.)

I had him return on 9/7/22 to fix his leak; he said he put in a "rotary connector" that "would work."

On 9/26 I first used the hose and had a massive leak. It flooded the garage and 6 baskets of groceries nearby. The new connector was NOT "rotary" --the only rotation was my $70 metal-clad hose twisting at its end (middle picture). The manager promised to send a master plumber to assess the work and refund me if it was not up to standard.

I then saw their response (below): "they never did my job." Last picture is their receipt for "leaky garden hose" dated 9/7/22.

UPDATE 9/28/2022: I spoke to the manager about their false report. He apologized, said it was a mistake, canceled the master plumber visit, and refunded my $598 on the spot.

I took down the hose reel and coiled the hose into a large plastic planter.....Gloria

James Schafer is a great representative of the Bonfe company. He is friendly, professional, and likeable. I'm sure he is a good employee of the the Bonfe organization..

This was my first experience with a professional plumber as a (female) homeowner. My dad used to help me with all my plumbing needs prior to this. Once I noticed my floor drain backing up after doing a load of laundry, I needed help. I called on Monday morning, they gave me a 2-5pm window. It was approaching 4:15, I called to see if someone was still coming out that day and they stated they were running late. That was fine, but I had evening plans so I rescheduled for the next day for 9-12 widow. The tech, Mark, called and let me know he was 30 minutes out. When he approached my house, he was very polite and asked if he wanted me to wear his shoe guards. I showed him the problem area, and we went over what our options would be and the long term benefits of hydrojet vs. the snake. I ended up doing the hydrojet because my home was built in 1948 to clear 70+ years of sludge. Man was I happy we did that! After he finished that process, he looked underneath my utility sink and was concerned about the plumbing trap the prior owners installed. Not thrilled about spending additional money I agreed to have it replaced because I knew it looked wrong.

Mark was very friendly and compassionate while remaining professional in a situation that was a first for myself. Being a female homeowner, sometimes you can feel like they are taking advantage of your lack of knowledge, but I did not feel this way with Mark at all. He was a great tech, did a great job of explaining everything and if you get him, you will be lucky because he does a very through job. Site was left clean and tidy.

In the pictures, you can see the pipe that was not hydrojetted where the opening is very clogged vs the one that received the hydrojet and is pretty much open.

If I were to ever need a plumber again, I would definitely use Discount Plumbers.
