Our experience with Jake was great! He worked on both our kitchen and bathroom plumbing systems and went over and beyond by fixing the bath drain (in addition to the leaky faucet) and sprayer in the kitchen sink (in addition to fixing the kitchen piping). He also secured the wobbly sink in our bathroom--great attention to detail. Also, because he missed an appointment with us earlier in the week, he waived the trip charge for the subsequent appointment. That shows a lot of integrity. We are happy customers in East side Saint Paul.

These guys are fantastic! I called on Tuesday about a busted faucet, and they were able to schedule my repair for Thursday of the same week. I got a follow up call later that day from Paul to get more details and photos. On the call I mentioned I had a new toilet I needed installed, and he said they might have time to do it. On Thursday, Tim arrived right on time with a faucet ready to go. Once he got started, he noticed our ancient water valves didn’t have on/off knobs and offered to replace them. Very helpful! I never knew there weren’t knobs, so this could have been a disaster in the event of a leak. And he even had time to replace the toilet! Pricing was fair, invoice was easy to understand, Tim was friendly and quick.

Jake was great--fast, reliable, on time, friendly, and professional. In under an hour, he repaired a garbage disposal, gave me a few quick tips on keeping it in working order, repaired a leaky faucet, and determined that the problem with the dishwasher was not a plumbing problem, but rather a malfunctioning appliance part, and he referred us to an appliance repair service. Jake will be my first call for all plumbing needs from here on out.

Easily the best plumbing/boiler service I have ever experienced. Jake came out the same day I called for a service need for my boiler. I asked if I could look over his shoulder and have him educate me on my system. He gladly explained how the system worked and how and what needed to be fixed, and then followed through with outstanding service. Very professional and affordable. Will be calling again with home repair needs.

First they replaced my outdoor faucets. They did such a good job I called them again to replace a toilet shut off valve. Recently, they replaced my bathroom faucet. Every time they have done wonderful work, never tried to upsell, and the prices have been reasonable. So happy to have found a plumbing place I can trust!

If you want THE BEST ...DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER! I can not RAVE about these men enough. They came out and fixed our shower, sink, toilets, and flushed our system because it was backing up. They walked us through everything they did and told us what to look for in the future and THE BEST PART...very affordable. We have a plumber for life now. Thanks Meyer, Rick and Jake. Y'all are the kindest and best of the best!

Just had Jake The Plumber over to fix what we thought would be an easy leak in our sink drain. Plumber Paul came over and was very cordial and transparent about estimated costs, he definitely had his work cutout for him as our issue had to do with a newly installed vessel sink. Overall I was very impressed with the service and professionalism and would highly recommend Jake The Plumber to family and friends.

Jake worked on our house in Northeast Minneapolis today with his comrade Jimmy and I am greatly impressed with their professionalism. Not only did they fix our major plumbing leak to our shower they did it without having to break through our ceiling saving us from some fairly large reconstruction. Also the work was under budget and in less time than quoted the day prior. I highly recommend Jake and his crew for any job you need him for. Btw he likes his coffee with some sugar and cream. Hook him up. He's a good guy.

I'll start by saying that I have not yet used Jake for our plumping issue, but the five stars are for the 20 minutes he spent with me on the phone. I called him from California to discuss a possible sewer problem on a home we purchased for my son in St Paul. Jake was absolutely wonderful in discussing possible fixes, keeping the cost as low as possible, and just all the time he spent with me on a busy work day. I've been a home and business owner in California for over 45 years and have had a lot of interaction with plumbers, and none have been so pleasant and understanding about throwing money at something that is not yet a problem. I will definitely hire Jake to do the work for us once the property closes.

I called Jake the Plumber because of a pipe issue with my toilets. They were quick to get back to me & sent out Stu within a day. Stu was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helped em better understand what could be causing the pipe issue. Within 15 minutes we were able to get the toilet up and running again. The prices also are more competitive than some of the larger companies that overcharge. I recommend Jake the Plumber to anyone who needs plumbing. :)

Had my boiler serviced by Kelley from Jake the Plumber today...very happy with his work, and with the overall experience with Jake the Plumber!

Kelley was very friendly and knowledgeable, and didn't seem to mind me being around, watching and learning...educating me a bit, answering questions. Also very friendly with our kids. Got our boiler back up and running after some efficient troubleshooting.

After having called around to a lot of the other plumbing and heating companies, I was very turned off by the few bigger ones charging a hefty service call / travel fee (ranging from $68 to $149)...just to come out to see what's wrong / give you a price!...and then hearing in reviews they quote very hefty, flat-rate, non-transparent fees. I liked, first off, that Jake the Plumber charges hourly -- then you know how the pricing works before getting into it...and, for me, I don't mind being around to make sure they work efficiently, not working up the clock.

To that end, I REALLY liked that they gave me the option to text or email photos of my boiler / the issues needing addressed, and Kelley was able to call me the evening before service to ask me more detailed questions and get an idea of what was up, giving me a ballpark range of how many labor hours the job should cost. They do have a $68 travel fee (halved when you commit to service)...but with that call from Kelley, I at least had an idea of what I was getting into -- enough to feel comfortable committing with the travel fee beforehand.

He was running a little bit behind schedule after having to track down a unique part for my boiler but called before he was actually late to let me know, so I was never wondering (all fine with me).

The only thing I would suggest / appreciate in the future using Jake the Plumber, is that they have a detailed list of parts on their invoices -- was left to Kelley's memory when I asked him how much all the parts were. But, all sounded about right, so I took his word for it.

Look no further. This guy and his team are amazing! We were dealing with an issue while trying to sell our home and Jake came out that day (after hours) to help us take care of what we needed! He then patiently explained the issue and potential concerns in layman's terms and offered multiple solutions and gave exact pricing! He was comprehensive and we felt assured the issue was put to rest but he didn't do anything that felt unnecessary and there were no surprise costs. We were lucky enough to get Jake himself and he is clearly very knowledgeable and competent so we could rest easy! He has been added to permanent contacts as I cannot imagine every going to anyone else!

Rick and Tim came to help me relocate a drain in my kitchen and did a wonderful job. They were both friendly and professional and clearly walked me through my options. I really appreciate that during COVID-19 they were both wearing masks without me having to ask (seriously, thank you for caring about your customers!!). Should I have any future plumbing needs, Jake the Plumber will be the first people I call! Booking process was also very slick; all online and very quick response times. Much appreciated Rick and Tim - you’re both awesome!!

I had a fairly urgent leak in a pipe from my boiler to a radiator. Jake himself came to my house the same day I called and repaired the leak quickly and corrected a previously bad installation. He explained everything so I could understand the issue, what was needed to correct it and also gave me many tips on maintenance. He was professional and thorough. I highly recommend Jake and his team for any plumbing work needed. Thanks, Jake!

Bought a house three years ago. The basement remodel failed to install a floor drain in the laundry room. I did some online research about costs and installation procedures.

I contacted a few plumbers including Jake. All the others either didn’t respond or wanted $100 plus to “come and look at it”.

Jakes got back to me quickly and asked for photos of the install area. They got back to me with a ballpark number which was reasonable. I knew that opening a concrete floor often presented surprises. Jake’s crew of 2 worked several hour in a wet clay base we found under the floor. They did a great job and the drain works perfectly. Jake’s charge was a few hundred dollars over the estimate ( Under $2000 total), but well within the cost info I found on line. If I need plumbing, Jakes is my first call.

I chose Jake the Plumber because of their willingness to discuss potential costs for my repair before making the trip to my house. This was important to me and none of the other vendors I called would even tell me their hourly rate. Stu was great; he explained the scope of work and completed it quickly all while keeping the expense well within the range given on the phone. He did not try to up-sell me on anything. We will definitely use Jake the Plumber again.

I chose Jake the Plumber simply because I saw one of their vans at our neighbor's house a couple weeks before. I believe our plumber's name was Rick. He was incredibly professional and personable. We had a drippy old spigot and the shut off valve to the outside water was also dripping in my basement. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do, discussed potential issues that may come up in the process, and in the end, delivered on his promises in a very timely manner. His work was super clean, my problem was solved, and I was better educated by the time he left. Also, the new spigot is much better than the one I had before. I would hire them again without hesitation!!

Great work by Jake the Plumber! We had a drippy faucet in the bathtub, Jake came out and gave us an estimate and we decided to have the work done. I was impressed with each person we met. Adam in the office was great and helped troubleshoot and scheduled same day service. Stu was professional, on time, wore shoe protection and wowed us with his knowledge. I will be calling for all future needs. We highly recommend Jake the Plumber.

We had an issue with our pilot light not staying lit on our water heater. I called Jake the Plumber at 9:00 AM and by 10:30 AM Stu arrived and was working on installing a new part - all under warranty. When we bought the water heater a year ago from Jake the Plumber we had an awesome experience (after a horrible experience with HERO Plumbing & Heating). Today was simply an extension of that great experience. Ironically enough, Stu is the same plumber who was here a year ago to install the product and he continues to be fabulous. If you are looking for great service and honest people who just want to do what's right, no games, Jake the Plumber is the way to go.
