(It's been several months since my 1 Star review and the project is still active in my neighborhood. They've done better and seem to be cleaning up "ok". I've upgraded to 3 Stars for now. We'll see when the job is done.)
I was under the impression that this was a top-notch company, but...
I understand the nature of having construction in a residential neighborhood, but the dust control is non-existent. I called them about leftover gravel strewn in the middle of an intersection for days and the lady said the project supervisor would call me the next day. Two weeks later, no call and the debris remains. I ride a bicycle frequently and do not appreciate having to dodge the rocks. I assume their contract requires them to maintain a relatively clean workplace, but wherever they work, the gravel & dirt clods remain.

Crude method of executing pavement removal causing enormous dust clouds. I would think they should sweep up the debris first instead of blowing it around.

Do they plan on power washing all the homes in Sherwood Estates when they're done? I doubt it.

I am a retired Professional Civil Engineer who is very familiar with this type of project and this type of performance would not be acceptable.

    I am very disappointed.

these guys are great, contracted by the city waterworks to do work only to disrupt services, have the water shutoff, and then everyone leaves by 4:30, leaving hundreds without water for 24 hrs. How can you disrupt service and leave with so much daylight still available? where are your standards? how are you guys awarded contracts?

Company workers at their finest, left a nice surprise next to our car right next to their equipment in a dead end turn around spot in gracemore neighborhood. Probably shouldn’t be drinking driving heavy equipment. Leaving it next to a car of a household that doesn’t even drink or smoke. Don’t even try to say it was there when you guys got there either because it snowed all night to and this was just cleared by you guys. Be adults if you need someone to move a car then come ask. You guys block our back constantly and take up an entire area. Your equipment ends up in our yard and we do not say anything. Finish your job and we will all be happy once you are out of our neighborhood if this how grown adult men act

The water / gas line project on troost has been a nightmare for me. I had the foundation around my home redone 4 years ago and the vibration of my home and foundation for months now is so intense we've had things fall off of the walls and now there are cracks forming around the entirety of my foundation and in the basement. I was naive to knowing I should take before pictures, they are literally 5 ft from my front door on the sidewalk with giant machines ON THE SIDEWALK that is connected to my foundation. They have torn up the road 3x in the same place in front of my house. Its so loud and vibrates so much I can't work from home on the days they're out here because my computer shakes too hard for me to read the screen.
Happy to have new water lines, but at what cost? Now I have thousands of dollars of repairs to be done and the sidewalk that was pristine before now looks like trash.
I seriously have cried multiple times because I'm so overwhelmed with what this is doing to my property that I've spent significant money stabilizing over the past few years, its effecting my well being.

I had an excellent experience with this chimney service and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing fireplace maintenance. The technician was professional, friendly, and arrived right on schedule. They carefully inspected and cleaned the chimney, explained the entire process clearly, and answered all of my questions with patience and honesty. I was impressed by their attention to detail and how clean they kept the work area throughout the service. The pricing was fair, and there were no hidden fees or unnecessary recommendations. After the cleaning, my fireplace worked noticeably better and gave me peace of mind knowing everything was safe and properly maintained. Overall, the service was reliable, efficient, and completed with outstanding professionalism.

Hardly no prep sprayed right over old enemal. DOD not sand so not very good adhesion. No bondo at all for the corners of the door frames was very disappointed.

Fantastic job! Painting Plus was very professional, on time, neat, and courteous. I have used them several times and will definitely use them for future paint jobs.

It’s says a lot when the owner, Luke Lunt, has to rate his own business with 5 stars here on Google. Originally got a bid from him in March of 2021 and after his crews didn’t show for work on three different occasions, my wife and I decided to hire another painting company. To be clear, Luke does not do any painting. He has a crew or crews that work for him. The final straw for my wife and I was Luke telling us he was under the weather and had an ER visit. Notable but no excuse as to why his crew couldn’t show on three different occasions to start working. Luke never bothered to explain or apologize for his crew not showing on three different occasions (no call/no show on 6/28, no call/no show on 7/12, and no call/no show on 7/14). Felt we were more than patient with Luke as we parted ways with him on 7/16/2021.

Unfortunately, I had started the process of painting and could not cancel like Scott below. Consider yourself lucky. I had the same issues as he stated below. It was incredibly stressful and not an exciting process at all. It was like pulling teeth to get a response and when he would call, he would act like he was not the problem. He is un-professional. I will never use him again! If I could give negative stars I would. We have since found issues that his guys did that cost us several $100.00 dollars to correct. DO NOT USE PAINTING PLUS.

I contacted P&P Painting & Chimney Inspection Services Ltd, for chimney services after noticing a strong smoky smell indoors. TECHNICIAN Curtis arrived promptly and performed a very thorough chimney inspection. He identified blockages caused by creosote buildup and recommended a complete chimney cleaning. The results were immediate — no more odor and much better airflow. He also advised on a minor chimney repair to fix cracks in the flue. I signed up for their chimney maintenance plan, which is affordable and gives me peace of mind. The chimney sweep worked efficiently and kept my home spotless. This chimney company clearly cares about customer safety and quality service. I’m very satisfied and will definitely call them again for any future chimney services I need.

We saw structural flaws and contacted this company for chimney repair. Throughout the procedure, Brody demonstrated professionalism and knowledge. Our fireplace was expertly rebuilt by the fireplace cleaning service, and the chimney was meticulously cleaned. They also carefully cleaned the mold and conducted a mold inspection. Their commitment to client pleasure and safety is greatly appreciated. It was an easy and stress-free process. Without a doubt, I will keep utilizing this company.

Samantha came to look at our kitchen, took measurements, then set up an appointment to return on a different day to go over pricing. She did not show up for the appointment, and never bothered calling or emailing to apologize. Waste of everybody’s time.

You should definitely hire this company. Lots of bang for your buck and nice guys to work with. Jacob and Shay were awesome at fixing anything that was wrong. It took some time but that is to be expected. Any request me and my wife made no matter how small or stupid they took care of it. Always on time and if not you got a call stating why and when they would be there. I would definitely have them back!

Renewing the Home recently completed a bathroom remodel for me. They spent time with me, listening to what I wanted. They were friendly and respectful of my home. They were prompt, showing up every day and worked hard. I love my new bathroom.

Tim and Josh remodeled my master bathroom. They were very professional and the work was excellent. I would use them and Samatha for sakes anytime I need more work done. I can’t say enough good thing about them they were prompt every day and had me review the work each day

Work was completed as we discussed, incorporating suggestions by contractor to improve the ultimate outcome. Tim was great about arriving at the agreed upon time each day and cleaning up well each day before he left. He went the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied with the job.

Very unprofessional are Steve, CEO & Nathan Newport. Signed contract based upon a verbal start date. Which was my 1st mistake by not having the a start date in contract. 30 days lapsed and no contact from Nathan Newport. I contacted him. He stated another 30 days. No contact from Nathan Newport. I contacted him twice. My 2nd contact I text I want a refund. Immediately Nathan Newport contacted me. Stated he can’t give me a refund due to contract stated I had 3 days to cancel in order to get refunded. Mind you I trusted them that project would start in 30 days of signed contract. Needless to say I was not refunded. My opinion I will not recommend Renewing The Home Services LLC. Beware! They scammed an innocent trustworthy homeowner!

Nathan came to give me a bid for a very small bathroom. Toilet, sink, tub. He shot me $23K then brought it down to 19 after a 20% discount for no reason. That turned me off. Why not just shoot me 19k? Then he looked at my kitchen, which was 11 yrs new, and insulted me at every chance. Told me my new kitchen cabinets won't last because they are cheap stock cabinets. Yes they are from Lowes but they were special order and he has no idea what I paid. I have had no issues with my kitchen. He knocked on my tile bathroom wall and told me the tile was a thin plastic 1950's tile. He is wrong. I have drilled holes in that tile and I know what I have on the wall. This was also a turn off. I get feeling he wasn't so knowledgeable. He tole me the cabinet he will install is solid wood not that cheap stuff from HomeDepot or Lowes. I advised him the cabinet in there now has stood the test of time since 1949 when it was installed and it's not solid wood.
I asked him how will he handle those "unforeseen circumstances" such as replacing rotten wood under the bathtub. (I am positive it needs attention.) He said he allowed for the sink floor but not the bathtub because he didn't think it needed it. I know my tub has leaked at many points in the last 67 years so the floor is probably in bad shape. He said they would stop the work and chat with the homeowner. I know that means raise the price by whatever the heck he wants because he knows we are already underway and I won't want to delay the project. When asked how he would handle if his employee gets sick and can't work in my project. He shrugged it off like no big deal. "I'll pull someone from another project." That doesn't even make sense to me. Why pull someone off a $50K job to put them on a 19K? I have a feeling he was just answering with whatever he could to get the job. Doubt he will stand by any of the comments he made during our bid conversation. The images of the items he would be installing seemed so plain. It looked exactly like everything he could get at the big box store.
I'm felt insulted so I don't think this will be the company I will choose. I just didn't get a good feeling from Nathan. If Nathan is reading this, don't insult your customer by telling her her kitchen will fall apart soon because it's cheap and the customer should know how many layers of shingles she has and should tell the inspector so he accurately bid the roof job. I am giving him one extra star because he was nice to my dog.

One of the absolute most horrible experiences in contracting. Had the floors tiled and the work was very shotty at best. The grout work was horrible. Took them a few extra trips to attempt to make it right. Lots of flaws with the tile level. They replaced the trim in some spots in the kitchen and it didn't match the rest of the trim. They got mortar all over my walls and I did a majority of the cleaning.

Like the other review says...if I had a chance to have a redo I would and it would certainly be with another contractor.

    DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!!!!!!

I cannot recommend Renewing The Home Services. We just had a bathroom remodel completed. I found the tile job to be fair to average, the finish wood working was very poor, sheet rock work below average, and the paint work very poor. If I could turn back time, I would like to have a "do over", my money and old bathroom back so I could let someone else do the remodel.

While the project wasn't perfect, it was pretty downright good! I love the color pallet of everything and the design works quite well. I've had numerous unsolicited compliments on the whole project.
The cabinets that I got, while not custom made are quite good and the kitchen design was based on their sizes, so I guess I have custom made kitchen! I did request soft close doors and drawers and pull-out shelves on the lower cabinets. I highly recommend this! It costs more, but it's worth it! My biggest problem now is, I have so much cabinet space I don't know where to put all my stuff! I almost need someone to help organize my stuff and store it or get rid of it!
If I have any post observations, it would be based on design issues that have popped up. After you get something new, you have a break in period and have a chance to use it in its current configuration. Such as: Under the Cabinet lighting - absolutely love it! However, in its current configuration, the light switch is by the sink, next to the switch for the garbage disposal. A better place, (in my opinion) would have been next to the switch for the overhead lights. That way, you could turn both on or off as you enter or leave the kitchen. Also, if I had it to do again, (actually I do because under the cabinet LED string lights are so simple) I'd try to string the lights in a more efficient way and get more use out of a single 16.4' string of lights. I also would like the lights under all the cabinets (there's about 1' under a narrow cabinet next to the refrigerator that doesn't have lights and looks a little bare (my opinion). I also think that it would be great to run a string under the lip of the bar by the sink and provide me with light directly over the sink. The string lights have proven quite effective as project lights and would fill this need quite effectively. Note to all: I got what is termed “double lights”, there are 600 lights in a 16.4' string as opposed to 300 in a standard string. That's 3 lights per inch vice 1.5. If you think that is too bright then get a dimmer switch for them. It's better to have too much than too little and be filled with regrets!
Knowing what I know now, there are more things that I would have had done, but as I promised at the beginning of the process I didn't make a bunch of changes during the project which would have exceeded my budget! As a consequence, I came in pretty much on budget and time.
Renewing the Home's (RTH) quote was substantially lower than Jericho and all told, their design was more to my liking.
Shay was a pleasure to work with, other than he was too happy all the time. Dustin and Jacob were my installers and they are brothers and Steve's sons. They are excellent craftsmen and were very much dedicated to getting the work done. I would be happy to have them on other projects.
The whole crew treated me with respect and made every effort to keep my budget under control.
    Thank you very much!
