Alex is a very professional friendly guy. He explained everything to me in regard to the dryer's issues to where I could understand totally and his diligence was incredible. I will be recommending you guys to others in the future.

Warning!!! Do not use this company. I will post an updated review with dates and receipts once I finish compiling everything for a claim with the Better Business Bureau’s. But this has been the worst nightmare of a repair process, they came out multiple times and after each time shortly there after a refrigerator failed then they would come out and say oh we forgot to put this part in etc. After over $1000 (we felt like we had to keep using them because some parts will be under warranty and some wouldn’t by the time it broke again) It broke again, right after the three month mark. So obviously they refused to cover any further repairs under any warranty. Trying to call is an absolute joke. Crystal literally screamed at me when I was calling to get itemized receipts, so that I can file a claim under a home warranty to have a different company come out and repair it. I have sent 4 written requests in on top of my phone calls to get these itemized invoices and I’ve gotten no response.

This was my first time using Dirt Cheap Appliance Repair, and I can confidently say I will use their services again. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. He walked me through the analysis of the problem and fixed the error quickly. They included warranties on the parts and the workmanship. I would recommend Dirt Cheap Appliance Repair to anyone dealing with appliance issues. Fantastic service at a great price.

They took the contract to fix my refrigerator on the day I called my insurance company about it. I'd always had contractors at least call- if not come- on the day of the request. Later in the day, I checked to make sure my request had indeed been received (it had). The next day, it appeared that my request had disappeared, so I made another request- which would have resulted in an additional charge, had a relative not also become involved. What followed were several days of calling both the insurance company and this contractor, with an insurance representative assuring me that the contractor WOULD call that day to schedule an appointment for the next day. Both days came and went.
In their phone message, this company says that they will call you back by the next day, but that was not my experience at all. I left a polite and detailed message on the second day; on the third day, I called again but was unable to leave a message.
When a contractor takes on a job for the insurance company, the job is "claimed"- so why accept a job if you don't even have the time to return clients' phone calls? I was almost stuck being charged by my insurance for an additional request, because I had no idea, at that time, that any human beings had received my request.
As of now, another contractor has taken the job. I placed my initial request over a week ago. -
Dirt Cheap appliance repair was referred to me through my home warranty provider for my dryer that stopped working, and I am so glad they were selected to perform my repairs!
My technician was very knowledgeable. He assessed the problem and provided a solution to the issue right away.
The end resulted in my dryer working fabulously-- I'm very pleased.
They definitely have my support in future repairs and I've already passed their contact information along to a few friends and family! -
It's okay. He seemed to have known what he was doing. Even though he couldn't fix it. it was a dryer, and a rim part had split and broken, and it would have cost more to fix it versus getting another appliance. I had to get another Appliance but the guy seemed knowledgeable and it wasn't expensive it cost me $70 for diagnostic test if we could have fixed it then it would have cost me the 70 and fixing of the dryer and parts

These guys were super quick to come out and charge us $70 to diagnose our fridge. Parts needed ordering and they didn't let us know for a few days. Finally said they ordered the parts and disappeared into thin air never to be heard of again. Won't pick up the phone or respond to voicemails. Meanwhile we have no functional fridge!!! we have called someone else and hopefully they'll be able to get to us quickly. These guys are flakes. I'd love to be proven wrong but it's not looking likely.

I am thoroughly disappointed in the job that this company did. While I don’t want to hurt a small business, a small business also shouldn’t hurt my home. They did a horrible job of installing our dishwasher. It wasn’t level to the point we couldn’t use it, they broke a piece of the wood that goes along the side in order to help it fit in the space, and within 20 minutes of them leaving, two of the screws that were part of the dishwasher fell out. However, that’s not the worst part. When they were pulling out our old dishwasher, they damaged our countertop in several places along the front. We have a drip edge, so the countertop needs to be replaced. I was standing on the other side of the counter and did not see it until after they left. The warranty company said we had to deal with this company to get it fixed as it was secondary damage. I called, hoping for a peaceful resolution, and told the owner I had taken pictures of the counter to show him and was told they took pictures of the countertop after the install was done (why would they?), and I needed to send my pictures first so they could see. I was there during the install - no pictures were taken - so I was concerned why I had to send my pics “first’” I told him to please send his pictures since he claimed to have them and ended up asking to see the pictures three more times and was told no. The owner insisted he had pics, refused to send them, and then told me his lawyer would need to be involved.
The warranty company said that the parts of the dishwasher that needed to be fixed would have to be done by this company even though he was telling me he had to get his lawyer and we refused to have them step foot in our house.
So, we’ve had to hire and pay another company to reinstall the dishwasher, and we have to buy a new countertop.
I highly recommend if you’re going to use this company that you stand there the entire time and watch what they do. And make sure you take pictures. -
I cannot say much about the work from Dirt Cheap Appliance Repair, as we were not able to experience. What I can rate is the lack of customer service when calling to ask questions about our scheduled service call. August 28, 2023 we had a service call scheduled between the hours of 12PM and 5PM to our commercial property. We were told we would receive a call 30 minutes prior to the technicians arrival. We called at 4:39PM because we never received a call about the arrival time for scheduled service. We contacted Dirt Cheap, and greeted by Crystal, she was very rude and combative as she cut me off at every question asked. She was not very helpful, so I asked her title and if she was in fact the owner. Crystal went on with a very bad attitude, providing her title as office manager. With the continued impatient tone in her voice she acted as if my asking questions aggravated her. Due to her poor customer service handling we cancelled the service appointment. Her reply, and I quote, "okay!" As she disconnected the call. People always wonder why we as black people are reluctant to support "black owned" businesses. It is sad to say she will stop this business from not only this customer but many more.

Timeliness was my major issue as they were quite late but the repairman explained it was due a technical error. Overall service was excellent. The repair person, Antoine, did an outstanding job fixing things and guaranteed his work! Would definitely use this company again.

Your response was a complete lie. The washing machine never worked when it was so called fixed. I never called a couple days later to report a problem. I have no issues with waiting on a part. However I do take issue with making an appointment and your company not showing up. Instead of coming up with your on view of events the professional thing would’ve been to reach out to my husband or myself by phone. We both tried to contact you before we wrote our review. We wanted to resolve this situation with someone in your office but you never took the time to speak with us.

Highly recommend! Antoine came out on time as scheduled, and had my washer fixed within 15 minutes! Honest company, not trying to sell you things you don’t need.

Good quick & fast service for my Kenmore gas dryer. It's working""" He explained what he was testing & showed me the faulty part with the omh meter. Replace it. I love my old dryer. It's not about the $$. I have high dollar 2023 Samsung gas still the plastic. I didn't feel like hooking it up. My chick picked it out Aug 2023. It's digital model. Ty Dirt Cheap

Why did I wait so long to have someone come and look at our dishwasher? I was glad to be able to get the repair scheduled within a couple days of calling. Then, the repairman was able to fix the machine with a few tweeks and one tool! Great service. Wonderful personality. Will use whenever I need an appliance repaired. I am glad to hear they found a home in St. Patrick's center as well.

After broiler fire then using the fire extinguisher, the oven did not light correctly
Antwon serviced both appointments, explaining the issues thorough
being honest by letting me know upfront, it may need two new parts but hopefully just one
He is a kind, thoughtful and hard worker
After a couple parts were changed out, i was on my way to a working oven -
Very pleased with the service I received. Repair tech was professional and diagnosed and repaired my oven promptly. My only complaint is that I had to reschedule my appointment for another 4+ hour window when my cell phone didn’t pick up the calls from your company that your tech was on the way and again when he was outside my house. If the tech had only knocked on my door, my 1/2 day wait would not have turned into an almost all day wait for service. This really is not a complaint but a suggestion because I was overall completely satisfied with every aspect of my service, including your VERY NICE customer service rep who rescheduled a tech to still come the same day. However , a knock at my door would have saved both your company and me time, since I was at home waiting. Thanks again for great service.

They were fantastic I was very very happy they were able to get there very quickly everyone else was about a week out and they were there the same day. The technician was right knowledgeable. He explained everything to me in detail and it was fantastic. I could not be happier and I'm very happy they got here to fix my refrigerator and my freezer before I lost everything in there and there were $400 they saved me in food cost so thank you very much Great job great service. I highly recommend and if I have another issue with another appliance I will call them first.

Best appliance repair I've found in the city. These guys do really good and very HONEST work. I've had several appliances repaired by them, with different technicians each time, and I was impressed by each of them. One of them literally saved me hundreds of dollars on a repair that I had requested by telling me there was a much easier, and cheaper, possible fix.

Here's yet another 5 star review for Dirt Cheap Appliance Repair in the LOU. A great experience I had doing business with this company!! Highly recommend!! Punctual, professional, courteous and the name says it all: REASONABLY PRICED! That's all which is certainly enough!!

Antoine was awesome! We didn’t end up having a dryer issue, but an electrical one. We popped in new fuses and the dryer was heating again. I really appreciate him taking the time to explain the voltage and checking the fuses to see if they worked. That wasn’t in his job description, but he did it anyway and saved us a call to an electrician. Would definitely use Dirt Cheap again, should the need arise.
