We just love working with Hamtil Construction! This was
our second big project with them and we
couldn't be happier! This time, a full
kitchen remodel and from start to finish, the
entire process exceeded our expectations. The team was able to take our ideas and (many) inspiration photos and put together a perfect design that works well for our family. Then from Day 1 of demo to the very last day, every single member of the Hamtil team and every subcontractor were just the best and a pleasure to have in our home each day. Their attention to detail cannot be beat and it’s obvious how passionate the entire team is about their work. With the new BuilderTrend app, we were able to see the schedule each day, read/leave daily notes, and see progress photos which was wonderful! We sincerely appreciate everything Hamtil did for us and cannot wait to tackle our next project with them!

I can't say enough about the professionalism, design capabilities, creativity, quality of workmanship, and general responsiveness from these Hamtil guys. I never thought I'd ever have a showcase room in my home - but I feel like I'm living in luxury every day now. They are super responsive to even the silliest of questions and always have the answer and prioritize fixes (though you won't have many!) straight away. I feel like we've spent so much time together in my home, they might as well be invited to Thanksgiving Dinner. Great dudes!!!

Hamtil Construction did an amazing job renovating our entire kitchen and two bathrooms. From start to finish, they were professional and helped us navigate the entire process with patience and an attention to detail. Their expertise and knowledge of older homes was exceptional. The entire team was very responsive to our needs especially by providing a temporary shower while we lived in our home during construction. They took special care to make sure the dust and dirt was contained and were always available to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend them and would hire them again without hesitation!

Paul and Dave Hamtil and their entire crew were very professional from the first meeting through the completion of our outdoor living space. We were so pleased with everyone who worked on the project. They were very respectful, kept the job site exceptionally clean and did a great job of communicating throughout. The final product looks exactly how we imagined it and we could not be happier with the outcome. Hamtil Construction did a wonderful job on our primary suite remodel. Both my husband and I are very particular and we had in mind what we wanted, everything met our expectations. Being an architect myself I often have concerns that someone I chose to work with may or may not be willing to work with someone who "knows the business". The Hamtil team listened to me and respected what I had to offer, and yes, when needed, they did offer better solutions. And Kerry was wonderful, she pushed us out of our comfort zone with our design and it came out stunning. Just trust the process!

Hamtil has completed multiple projects for us over the last 15 years and I only have the highest praise for Dave, Paul and their entire team. Proposals are comprehensive and accurate. Timelines are followed. Communication is excellent. End of day worksite is clean and tidy. Remodeling in a home is always inconvenient to the owner, but the Hamtil team makes it as painless as possible and dare I say, slightly enjoyable!

I can't say enough good things about Hamtil. They tackled a difficult and unusual remodel job for me that other contractors walked away from. Not only that, they made it better than I had imagined it could be. Great communication, follow through, carpentry skills and finish details. They are honest, attentive and worth every penny spent. We have used Hamtil Construction several times, recently for a kitchen project. The end result was beautiful and completed with quality craftsmanship. We were kept informed every step of the way. I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. Also, every member of the team was friendly and treated our home with respect during the process. Hamtil Construction recently addressed some structural issues with our home. Hamtil initially responded to our request by sending a team to our house, consulting one another on-site about the best way to complete the repair work, and then explaining thoroughly how the job would be done.

The finished job was great, and we are very pleased with it. Not only were the issues we had repaired, but the areas in question looked even better than before. This is the exact outcome we'd hoped for.

The job encompassed many aspects of construction and remodeling, from structural issues and carpentry to drywall and finishing work. Each element of the work was done accurately, quickly, and professionally. The quality of the work was excellent.

Their team does great work. It was a pleasure having Malcolm and Zach here. Both were polite, friendly, and professional. Malcolm often took the time to show me the improvements made and how they were accomplished, which I appreciated. Aaron did a great job, too, clearly communicating and coordinating the work and expectations with me.

I was also grateful to have access to the job journal online. Seeing the photos gave me further confidence this job was progressing well and being done thoughtfully and completely.

Hamtil Construction is a great company with good people. I would highly recommend them.

I would love to give them any rating at all but unfortunately I called them about 4 weeks ago and never heard back from anyone. They aren't the only ones. I've called a few others and never heard back. Guess I'll just go another year without a bathroom sink and keep using the kitchen sink to brush my teeth. It's been almost a year and I can't seem to get any company to do this task for me. One company said they only do total gut and remodel and acted like I bothered them.

The Hamtil team was amazing to work with. Very detailed oriented, great communication, and truly good humans.

They completed a basement and main level remodel after a flood due to a pipe bursting. The work is absolutely beautiful! Even more importantly, I could trust them to do the work correctly, be unsupervised in my house, and address any concerns quickly.

Paul and Dave even came to my house one night when I had water leaking into my dining room (unrelated to their project but I didn't know who else to call). The Hamtil team truly goes above and beyond. I will definitely be using them for future projects.

Hamtil did a 2 level addition for us. The craftsmanship and quality of work is unmatched. Paul was so helpful and patient with the design process. Dave was helpful with setting expectations throughout the build process and Mr Brent became part of the family. Our kids and dog adored seeing him everyday. The communication far exceeded our expectations and our experiences with other construction companies. I will continue to highly recommend Hamtil!

In our opinion, overall, Hamtil is the best remodeler in town. This is based on having used Hamtil for multiple projects and having used other well-known STL remodeling firms.

Hamtil just completed an amazing bathroom transformation/expansion for us.

A large remodeling project, while exciting at first, will become tiring / stressful but if you don’t choose the right firm, it can easily become a living nightmare. Paul and Dave (and their employees and subcontractors) know this, and that is why being customer-centric is an important tenet of their firm. You always know the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of the project.

They were prompt for all appointments. They thoroughly explained the various options for our project and the respective costs. Once we decided on the option, they followed through with all details of the construction. They kept us up to date on progress and finished on time. Full clean up each day of the project and at completion. Highly recommend them!!!

On our friends' recommendation, we had Hamtil address our roof after a large tree had decided to belly-flop there in the spring. We couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism, timeliness, and quality of work. From the transparency of daily progress reports to the ease of invoicing and change-orders, we were truly impressed. We will definitely have Hamtil back when we're ready.

We have used Hamtil Construction for two major projects now: installation of a custom-built sunroom on the back of our house and a complete remodeling of two full bathrooms. The workmanship is superb. The crew is neat, tidy, efficient, easy to work with and they clean up after themselves completely every day. The Hamtil motto is basically "no surprises," and they are very, very good about communicating progress, plans, any unexpected changes that come up, etc. We would highly recommend them.

I will also say that before proceeding with the initial renovation project, we contacted a dozen previous Hamtil clients and they ALL raved. We got nothing less than a 5-star report from any of them and our experience was the same.

We hired the company for a major renovation of our home, where all aspects of the house were updated, change and improved; from adding square footage ,, new roof, new siding, new AC, the dimensions of three rooms and two bathrooms changed and extended.
The plumbing and electrical system updated. All the work was well supervised as they kept us updated almost daily with a software called Jobtread, making decisions easier and less stressful.
Finally all inspections of the city of Webster grove were passed after rigorous expectations. We finally are enjoying our moving back to our amazing new home and being with our children and grandchildren. We strongly recommend this company. Best of wishes to all who worked in our dream home.

Hamtil feels like part of the family now in the best possible way after having completed a complete kitchen renovation among other smaller projects around our home (roof, basement egress, mud room). The quality and craftsmanship was excellent. The key was responding quickly to requests, thoughtful explanations of the process, and extremely personable and caring builders, electricians, carpenters, at each step of the process. They listen to you, are honest, and are completely transparent about their work. It was a long project that got disrupted by Covid. Working with Paul and David Hamtil at Hamtil Construction is the best decision you can make when considering remodeling your home.
