I cannot say good enough things about this company. Nate came out to my home about 4 years ago and helped with an emergent problem I was having with my water heater expansion tank. I had to call R.A. Guinner plumbing again as I have been having ongoing issues with the pipes under my kitchen sink and then my garbage disposal jamming. Nate came to the rescue again and was so friendly and informative. I appreciate the values this company has and that they've helped me so much in these situations.

Referred to this company as part of warranty work with AO Smith Water Heater. Because they are an authorized service provider the plumbing company is able to direct bill the manufacturer for parts and labor.

When I called, service over the phone was 10/10. The person on the other lines was very helpful and proactive. I was so happy they were able to get me on the schedule for the following business day.

Charles was courteous, professional and skillful in completing the work. I made a joke about how enlightening a 40 degree shower is in 0 degree weather and Charles laughed. Him laughing at my joke makes him a superstar. He also completed the work in 1.5 hours.

I taped his business card to my water heater so I call this company again in the future. I found my plumber!

Our water heater went out in the middle of a huge cold front. We were scammed by our home warranty and were desperate to get it fixed since we have a newborn. My husband attempted to find the problem and ended up discovering we had a warranty on the water heater. The water heater manufacturer connected us to RA Guinner and we are so happy they did. We expressed that it was an emergency due to the fact we had our newborn at home and it had been almost 5 days without hot water. They sent the sweetest employee over as soon as possible and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within the hour. Aside from the urgency to come help us, we are thrilled that this company respects families and has a team that is warm, friendly and helpful.

Called due to upstairs shower leaking into kitchen, spoke with Nick, he said they could assess, but might pass off to a bigger company. When I said I wasn't familiar with bigger companies, it was a simple thanks and have a nice day almost like I was an inconvenience.

I cannot recommend this company enough. I tried 3 other places and was finally referred to RA Guinner. I called Kevin at 2 pm on a Friday and he had some at my house within the hour. They did great work. Will only use them for any plumbing needs in the future.

Kevin and Matt were amazing! From the initial call, to the inspection, And then within less than a day from that the installation of my water heater they were friendly, respectful of my house, and work efficiently to get my water heater installed. Very impressed with this company and would highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about R.A. Guinner Plumbing in St. Louis. We had been dealing with low water pressure for the entire 3 years we’ve lived in our home and never realized there was an actual problem. Our house was fully inspected before purchase, and no one caught the issue.

I sent one picture to Kevin, and he immediately identified the problem — a DIY low-pressure valve installed on a high-pressure line instead of a standard main water shutoff valve, which was restricting flow throughout the house. That level of knowledge and experience alone was impressive.

They were able to come out to Imperial Missouri the same day, confirmed the diagnosis, and went above and beyond to fix the issue. They even took care of extra services to replace our expansion tank and pressure spring to help us out, without hesitation. The professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail were outstanding.

Now our water pressure is amazing, and our house finally works the way it should have from day one. If you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy plumber in the St. Louis area, I highly recommend R.A. Guinner Plumbing. We couldn’t be more impressed or grateful.

Jacob has come out to our building a couple of times now. The first time, he completed the work for about 1/2 the price as what another company estimated. He is very good at what he does. This week, He was able to fix our leaking water main in no time for a reasonable price. I will continue to use them for my personal plumbing needs. One of the companies I work for also uses them almost exclusively on our remodel projects and we have a great working relationship with them.

I had an overwhelmingly positive and refreshing experience from them when compared to a competitor. It's heartening that there continue to be people in the world who do business the way that they do. Gold star!

Maplewood Plumbing was spectacular. Their website had helpful information and it was easy to make an appointment with them. Their technician, John, went above and beyond to make sure the repairs were done right. He had to come out 3 different times and was kind and courteous each time. He did a great job of explaining exactly what he was discovering, what actions needed to be taken, and the costs associated with it. I will definitely be using Maplewood for all future plumbing needs!

You sent two emails asking for reviews, so here it is. These guys are EXPENSIVE! I had them come out to replace a leaky outdoor pipe and backflow preventer. The pipe was easily accessible and they replaced a short length of it in less than an hour. The price was $459!! That's about triple what it should cost. They wouldn't attempt to fix the backflow preventer, and quoted $1500 to get the part and replace it.

The guys were friendly and competent, but they shouldn't cost more than lawyers.

This has to be one of the best company I have ever dealt with. Very professional. Amazing work crew. I will never use anyone else but them. Thank you.

I had a major water issue with a leak on my front lawn that was flooding the sidewalk and street. The City Water Division determined the problem was on my side—between the tee head and the stop/waste valve—and informed me it was my responsibility to repair.

After getting several quotes, I chose Maplewood Plumbing based on their strong credentials and excellent reviews. Scott and his team were professional, courteous, and clear in explaining the scope of work, costs, and required permits. They were also very patient as I worked through the decision and scheduling process.

Their work ethic, communication, and quality of service were outstanding from start to finish. I highly recommend Maplewood Plumbing to anyone needing reliable plumbing services.

This is the worst service I’ve ever experienced. We called because we currently have water pressure issues in our shower and a little bit of low pressure in the kitchen. The kitchen pressure was regarding our sink and fridge - they just had a little less pressure than a few months ago but were still fine. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a problem throughout the house but mostly just get a quote to fix the shower. After the plumber came out to check everything our kitchen sink and fridge water no longer worked at all! They didn’t tell us they broke either one. It was working fine before, just slightly lower pressure than a few months ago. At first we only caught that the sink wasn’t working and had to call to complain and there was no apology or even acknowledging the inconvenience. They said they need to get a hold of the manager and they may not be able to until tomorrow. So, break our stuff and then provide no urgency to repair the damage you caused with zero warning. Then the plumber called to ask what the issue is and we told him and he said “I told you the faucet had diminished water capacity.” Yeah, you didn’t say it had none now or that it was much worse than before you came. They didn’t even offer a solution. We asked to not be charged for the visit that day and he said we already weren’t go to be. When we said we will have to cancel plans and go get a new faucet to install ourselves tonight, he said “that’s fine.” It’s not fine. Later that night we realized that the water on the fridge was also no longer working at all. We called about that as well and they tried to gas light us and say it was never working and that we should be thankful they came out. What?!? This is pure insanity. We finally figured out that the plumber just left all of the tubing to the fridge just dangling in our basement with the valve turned off still. Once we fixed all of that the fridge worked again. I wouldn’t recommend this kind of “help” to my worst enemy. We had to fix far more issues than we started with and were told we should be thankful. I’ve never experienced such rude and incompetent customer service in any situation. I’ve never even left a negative review before but this was incomprehensible. Do not use this company!!

Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend!

I had a gas leak at my home, and this company responded quickly and professionally. From the moment I called, they made me feel confident that I was in good hands. The technician arrived promptly, clearly explained the issue, and fixed the problem safely and efficiently. They were knowledgeable, respectful, and took extra care to ensure everything was working perfectly before leaving. I’m incredibly grateful for their fast response and top-notch service. Highly recommend them for any plumbing or gas-related issues!

I give them 5 stars. Most time windows are extremely
long and not terribly accurate. Maplewood gave me 3 different choices and contacted me about coming a little early due to a cancellation which meant I did not have to waste my day. The technician was very polite and took care of both my problems quickly. No mess was left behind at all. He even brought his own towels to clean up. I have called them a few times over the years and have always been pleased.

Basically, if you need plumbing work, that work is great, but the scheduling and recommendations for contractors need to be revamped. Their recommended contractor did such a terrible job that the whole project needs to be redone. Maplewood offered a small amount of $$ towards that new contractor, and heavily implied that his errors were my fault. Whatever you do, do not use James Crosby if they recommend him. I would've rated higher, but the cancellation of the first day of work 30 minutes before it was supposed to start because the scheduler forgot to assign it / ensure that people were working (when I paid the deposit months prior) and the gaslighting when I brought the issues to them lowered the rating.

Editing after response - it was my understanding that Maplewood's efforts have been "finalized." It is wild to me to suggest that your communication is great when the first day of work was cancelled 30 minutes before they were supposed to show up, and I was told I would get a phone call to reschedule, but was never called. I encourage you to review your communications if you think you weren't dismissing my concerns or blaming me. One direct example is "tearing open finished surfaces is a very dusty job" when I stated that there was debris in my washing machine and all over my basement and floor, there were no drop cloths used, everything I own was covered in dirt, there were handprints everywhere, globs of grout and mortar congealed on my basement floor and all over the bathroom and new fixtures, etc. This project was always a full reno and this response, along with the other communication, shifts the blame to me for selecting the contractor, which was on your list of 4 contractors. I was given options of full reno or destroying part of the floor to fix the stack and asked for contractor recommendations for the full reno, that conversation happened in person, and then I was provided the contractor list.
I understand that Maplewood Plumbing is not responsible for the actions of the contractor; however, this was a contractor recommended by your organization, and any time I have mentioned issues, I have been told "we know James" and various dismissive statements. I feel that this review is needed so that no one else ever uses James Crosby if he is continued to be recommended.

Maplewood Plumbing repaired my ancient cast-iron sewer pipeline with their UV cured trenchless pipe lining…and I am so pleased! Every aspect of this process has been exceptional, from the initial bid, where the work and the cost was customized to my specific needs, to the work by the team, to the results. The team was professional, conscientious, respectful and skilled - they worked well with me and each other. It was an incredibly smooth project. A special thanks to Steve, Cam, Kevin and Josh for your hard work. Thanks to Jessie who was a great help on the administrative side. I’m so appreciative and highly recommend Maplewood Plumbing!

Edited to update: They ended up resolving this issue and replacing our garbage disposal at no cost, and were pleasant to work with through doing so.

Service was good until our garbage disposal no longer worked after they fixed a clog in our kitchen sink drain. Wanted to charge us $400 to replace the garbage disposal that worked fine before we hired them. Disappointed repeat customer who will be finding a different plumber next time we are in need.

Great experience fixing a plumbing problem with our sewer line (under the basement). Kevin, Drew, Michael and Reggie did a great job; high quality, good options, and honest feedback.
