Lucas never showed up, claimed I wasn't at home when I was, and lied to the dispatcher, claiming I had opted to install the part myself when I never even talked to him and did not express any interest in installing the part myself

We did not use the service AT a Sears building. The tech, Lucas, came to our house after a month's delay. He diagnosed the problem right away.

I had an outstanding technician by the name of Jeff. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and made the entire experience great. If I ever need another repair I hope it is someone of the same caliber. Outstanding job Jeff.

The technician, Lucas was amazing! He was friendly and efficient, I couldn't be happier. Regarding clarity of parts ordering and receiving, everything was very unclear. Overall I'm happy with the service.

I would rate the service as a zero because no one still has showed up

American Home Shield sent a technician from Sears Appliance Repair to fix a burner on our 1 year old Kitchenaid stove. The tech didn’t act like he was familiar with the stove and got parts to repair the stove after several weeks. He brought another technician with him to help who proceeded to jerk on the oven door and shattered the door. American Home Shield was not able to get parts to repair this and agreed to replace the stove. They only gave us enough reimbursement to cover the wholesale price of the stove leaving us stuck with the bill for the retail cost, and installation of a new stove.Sears corporate refused to cover the cost of the difference it cost us. I would warn anyone who needs an appliance repair company to not ever use these guys.

Jeff kept me informed on when and what time he was arriving. Very pleased with work preformed. Was curious, polite and explained what he was doing. Recommend his appointment deadline and workmanship.

They've come out twice and the issue is still not fixed. Now been a month without a working washer. And now I'm expected to wait another two weeks for them to come back out and they still have no clue what's wrong, so I'm sure it still won't be fixed in two weeks regardless. Neither tech that came out actually waited for my washer to malfunction in order to properly diagnose it. The first actually told me he couldn't wait around for it to happen... After I waited 6 hours for him and 7.5 for the second, who also didn't wait for it to happen and told me it was working perfectly. Only it wasn't.

And don't try to get anyone on the phone there. It's impossible!

I do not recommend. Their price to fix was outrageous. They didn’t have heating element for my oven on hand so we had to wait a week. They shipped it off of amazon or something to my home. 1 day later the oven doesn’t work with the same issue. They want to come out and look at it again and charge me to fix it again.

If American Home Shield assigns them to fix your appliance, call them back right away and ask for a different company. Their service dept is a scam. They will reschedule your appt an hour before they are to arrive and say they can't be there until a week later. We called AHS and had it switched to a local repair company right away and had a much better experience.

I can't even begin to describe how upset I am with the service I HAVEN'T received from these people. I called for repairs to my ice maker. I had to wait a week. The technician had to order the part to be sent to my house and come back a week later. He made me pay for the part and labor in advance. He came back the next week and the wrong part was sent. He ordered the part again, took the wrong part with him and I had to wait another week. I got an email showing that the new part is $100 LESS than the old part, but I have not received credit for that. Today was the day he was supposed to come between 8am and noon. At 1:30 I spent an hour trying to get ahold of a human being to talk to. That person told me that I should have BOTH parts and assured my the technician would be out by 5:00. I told him the technician took the other part. He acted like he didn't hear me. It is now 6:00 and I have not heard from or seen a technician. This is totally unacceptable! If the technician couldn't make it today I should have been contacted! Especially after already having my money!

Update: I'm still VERY upset. The day after the technician was supposed to come I get an email that the service has been rescheduled for May 28 between 8am and noon. No call to make sure I'll be home. I have appointments all day so that won't work. I call to reschedule and actually talk to a human being, WOW! I got the appointment rescheduled for June 3 when I will be home. The next day I get a text from Sears (A & E) that they see I have the parts and they can schedule my repair for May 28. They want me to reply YES if I want to schedule for that day. I don't respond and assume that's it. Well, it's not. The next day I get a text that they have rescheduled my appointment for May 28 between 1pm and 5pm. To say I am LIVID is an understatement!!

Nobody should ever use this company. I used them before, buy not since 2022. They were good then, but something has changed and they are abysmal now.

Sears Home Services is the biggest waste of my life I've experienced in the last decade. I'm not one to leave a negative review, but I really hope I can save someone the trouble of having to deal with them. I've been transferred, disconnected, and placed on hold more times than I can count. No one seems to know what's going on and why I'm not receiving the invoice /diagnostic worksheet of the service that was performed on my washer over a week ago now. I'm beyond frustrated at the lack of customer service and lack of support I've received. Ultimately, it's my fault for not asking for the invoice before paying the bill. Just leaving a review for others that might have to actually call in to deal with someone.

As a side note: Beware of the upsell to the home warranty program. It truly seems like a great program, but at this point they couldn't pay ME to have to deal with them again.

It is impossible to talk to an actual person when you call. Their AI service is not helpful. Additionally, there is very little wiggle room to reschedule, and again, you cannot speak on the phone to someone to get help. I would not recommend Sears Appliance Repair to anyone.

We've been trying to get our washer fixed for close to 6 weeks. While the technician was able to get it fixed this trip, which is the only reason this is 2 stars and not 1, it was after multiple calls to sears appliance and getting bounced between departments with the ultimate answer being "sucks to suck."

The first time they came out, they looked at the washing machine for a grand whopping total of 5 seconds before ordering a part and leaving. Once the part arrived, the technician came back and determined that the part was wrong (also broken), and ordered the correct part. Then that part arrived and the technician was scheduled again. A week later, they were scheduled to come out and cancelled at the last second. When I contacted sears customer service they said they would give us a "priority" call, which boiled down to the technician coming out at the time that they rescheduled to originally. So much for priority. I sat and waited for the tech this time around and we kept getting moved down the list.

Finally, after contacting sears for the 4th time, the tech arrived and installed the part. He left with a "hope this works, but I'm about 20% confident that it will because this part won't fix the original issue." Granted, it did work - but this entire experience is just proof and reasons why Sears went bankrupt to begin with.

Unfortunately this is who our home warranty people put us with, and I hate the fact that we went through 6 weeks of absolute crap in order to finally get our washing machine back up and running.

Like I said, the fact that I am happy to have a working washing machine again is the only reason that this is a 2 star and not a 1 star.
