My upstairs toilet had a minor leak, and American Home Shield dispatched this company to diagnose the issue. From the very beginning, the experience was extremely concerning.
The plumber, Alex, refused to even remove the toilet to inspect it. Instead, he immediately insisted that I would need to rip up my entire bathroom floor and open the ceiling below before he could diagnose anything. He had not performed even the most basic plumbing step -- lifting the toilet to check the wax ring or flange.
He then instructed me to contact a separate restoration company to open the floor and address supposed water damage.
We followed that advice. The restoration company came out, thoroughly inspected the area, and confirmed that nothing was wet, there was no active leak, and there was no hidden pipe issue. They explicitly stated that there was no reason to open the floor or ceiling and that the issue was most likely a wax ring or flange problem -- something that requires removing the toilet to confirm.
I rescheduled with this plumbing company, and the job was assigned to Alex again. Before the appointment, he called to confirm that I had already opened the floor and ceiling. When I explained what the restoration company found and reiterated that the toilet had still never been removed for inspection, he again refused to proceed unless I signed a waiver allowing them to tear up my flooring -- without ever performing a basic diagnostic step.
At no point did he remove the toilet.
Refusing to perform standard diagnostic procedure while insisting on unnecessary demolition is unacceptable. This felt like an attempt to turn a simple repair into a much larger and more expensive project.
If you are assigned this contractor through American Home Shield, I strongly recommend requesting a different company immediately. If you are considering hiring them directly, I would proceed with extreme caution.
Homeowners deserve honest diagnostics -- not pressure to authorize unnecessary demolition before basic plumbing steps are taken. -
Total rip-off company. My home warranty company sent them to fix a pin-hole leak in a PEX pipe. As soon as he arrived, I knew it was a rip-off. The technician arrived with no tools or ladders. As soon as he walked through the door without even looking at the leak, he called the restoration company and said I would need to open a claim with my homeowners and have the restoration company come and check for mold before he could work on the pipe. They literally called me 1 minute after he entered my home. I didn’t let the restoration company in as this was just a big scam to get a $100 into a $10000 bill. I was forced to do the repair myself. It cost me $40 in parts and a 1/2 hour in time.

I was very happy and pleased. My water heater busted on a Sunday. AHS had to sign them and I called them that morning to get it scheduled because I needed my water heater replaced. They had someone come out that afternoon and on Tuesday it was replaced. So.im thankful for their fast efficiency.

This company was called to my home through my home warranty, American Home Shield. A water line at the shower was broken by an inexperienced contractor, and the one line just needed to be cut, and connected back to the valve in a small 3 inch area. The line was broke due to a contractor over tightening a screw to a piece of wood, that was in front of the water line. The valve was not broken or damaged at all, and the water lines were brand new, less than a month old. Just needed a small connection repair to ONE water line.
As you can see from the written estimate to me, only a (singular) water line needed repair. As you can see from the photos, the valve is not damaged, and there are no metal pipes in this wall. Just two water lines. They instantly told me AHS will not cover it because AHS does not cover water lines. I told them it is covered because my warranty explicitly states water lines are covered, and I called AHS to schedule the service call prior to their arrival, to ensure it was covered.
Once I called AHS, I was told Advanced Home Services told them, I had valves (plural), piping, and multiple (again plural) water lines that needed to be changed, not repaired, so AHS denied my claim. AHS refunded me my money after I showed them the original estimate, which showed Advanced Home Services was price gauging by adding additional work to the diagnosis that was not needed, thinking I wouldn’t find out, causing my claim to be denied.
A few hours later, Advanced Home Services calls me and says it’ll be $1,200 minimum for the repair. Of course I declined because of their dishonest diagnosis sent to AHS. I called Loyalty Plumbing the next day and they repaired the water line for $207 which included a 2 year warranty. They even checked the other water line and valve, confirming it was not damaged, and there are no other pipes in that wall. Almost a month later, everything is still working perfectly. Do not ever call this company, and if AHS sends them to you, ask for another company and they will change it for free. Advanced Home Services takes advantage of people and are not honest. -
My water heater went out of course on the Friday of a holiday weekend. We contacted our home warranty company. I was surprised and amazed but Advance Home services called and sent a tech that same day. He came accessed the water heater was professional, nice explained the issues. They contacted the warranty company and to my amazement my new replacement was installed the day after the holiday. The technicians were wonderful, professional, clean efficient. My new water heater looks and works great now. Thank you for the quick response. I would use you again anytime.

So I’ve been in Vegas since 1973 and I have found very few things that are worthy of my time for a review. Excellent response time. Explained and VERY VERY fair! How refreshing!

I had them fix my roof top air conditioner on a rental home in Las Vegas. Rich did a great job replacing the blower motor, and the service was done fast, but am having a hard time getting them to fill out a W-9 form.

Came out. Said I needed a completely new AC. I said I could not afford a new one. Then he kept tinkering and said he could patch it up for only $750.
I made him leave and called a reputable company out. They fixed it for $250.
DO NOT CALL THESE LIARS.
