Unpleasant experience. Ortega's was assigned to my service call by Frigidaire. First technician came out and ordered a part, when the second technician came to replace the part he determined it was a bad compressor. I was not pleased with the customer service, so I requested a call with Manny. According to the receptionist lady, they diagnose by process of elimination. After a call from the receptionist who was adamant that I could not speak to Manny, Manny did return my call, notified me that the compressor was on back order and suggested I reach out to Frigidaire to have another repair company come out because "his Sealed Service technician would probably not want to work on my appliance due to a 1 star review". I spoke to Frigidaire, the compressor is not on back order and is being shipped to me for another repair company. I have been set back for a month dealing with Ortega's.

Very professional, timely and courteous service. I highly recommend this organization! And to be honest, the problem was user error. Our Asko dishwasher has a 5 hour delay button which had been initiated. Josh informed me that you must press the start/stop button for at least 5 seconds to clear (not the 2-3 seconds I had tried). I should have searched for the manual ... lol Lesson learned! Josh also recommended we use Lemishine (dish detergent booster) to clean our unit. It is remarkable how clean our Asko is now! Again, please call Ortega's in Albuquerque if you need help with your appliances.

I have a GE dishwasher that I purchased in August of 2025. It suddenly stopped draining properly. I contacted Home Depot since my dishwasher was still under warranty. And they made an appointment for me for repair with Ortega's appliance service. I cannot answer the questions about pricing. Because I didn't pay anything, since my appliance was still under warranty. I will say the technician that came out to repair my dishwasher was able to do so and I must say really went above and beyond to make sure he covered any possible issues and ensure the problems were all resolved and that my dishwasher worked perfectly before he left. The technician was extremely professional, and took his time to make sure everything was repaired correctly. I would highly, highly recommend Ortega's Appliance Service to everyone!

Daniel was our repairman and did a splendid job. He quickly determined that our ice maker indeed needed to be replaced and did so in short order. He then diagnosed the problem with our washing machine which, unfortunately, would've cost as much to replace the drum than it would to buy a new washer. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of appliances and his ability to explain it in layman's terms, while simultaneously showing us exactly what the problems were.

I had a problem with my refrigerator after only two months. The manufacturer scheduled warranty repair with Ortega’s.

The problem turned out to be quickly fixable. The technician was experienced and knowledgeable and shared lots of good information with me during the service call. I am very happy and have already recommended Ortega’s to a friend.

Because the service was covered under warranty I don’t know what it cost. But it was scheduled quickly and all my interactions were pleasant and professional.

I contacted Ortega's Appliance Service for a dishwasher repair as they were a recommended vendor on the dishwasher warranty. The technician was knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue (a broken drain pump), and completed the work within half an hour.

After the service, I needed an itemized receipt with specific information for the warranty reimbursement. I requested one with the office staff over the phone and received a copy in my email inbox less than a minute later.

Outstanding service, would absolutely contact them again if I had any appliance issues.

Oretega's is outstanding! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had not 1 but 2 appliances break down at the same time and Ortegas was fast and reasonably priced. The office was great and responsive. They sent Jay out to look at my GE washer and dryer. I really appreciate his expertise and professionalism. He clearly knows what he was doing because he arrived with the parts needed and got both appliances fixed and back to working order in no time!! I will ALWAYS call them in the future!

Jerry was the tech sent to fix my washing machine. He was extremely knowledgeable and punctual. He found the issue and fixed it on a Saturday which no other company I found was willing to do . Hugo's is top notch.

Excellent service! Oscar Ayala called ahead to see if he could come early. He arrived when he said he would. He was courteous and professional, and completed the repair quickly.

After hearing a loud pop, grinding, and smoke coming from my 10-year old projection TV, I assumed it was time to dump this one and spend $2,000 for a new TV. Before doing so, I called Hugo's TV Repair, who came out and picked up my TV, diagnosed and called me with two different warranty cost estimates. I chose the longer warranty estimate, they repaired, and delivered my television, within a week, for only $350 saving me from having to purchase an expensive TV. Folks...this is the way we use to receive service in the 60-80's instead of just throwing away our TVs and appliances. I can't thank them enough...and I am not easy to please. Thank you for having an outstanding company Hugo!

Hugo's has always been quick to diagnose my issues, first the refrigerator, and this time the stove top burners. Installation of replacement parts done efficiently.

Their repair tech came to look at my refrigerator. He had difficulty in just removing a plastic panel to access the evaporator. Had to show him how to do it. Then didn't quite get it back in proper place reinstalling it. It was agreed that the unit either had a leak in the refrigeration system or that the refrigerant was bad. I suggested putting on a service valve, pressurizing the system and if no leak charging the system. If there was a leak then repair the leak and charge the system. I was told that they needed to haul my refrigerator to their shop and replace the compressor, condenser and both evaporator units and it would be around $3,000 but I would get a written proposal. That was 2 weeks ago. Nothing. In the meantime I had a professional come out and fix it in place for $350 and in less than 2 hours by doing exactly what I had proposed to Hugo's. Its working like new! I wasted $80 for a service call from Hugo's

She needed her washer lid switch replaced immediately. Jerry was Amazing fixed our washer no Hassel no gimmick. I felt good to give him my money and I will refer to people in need. My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. Their technicians came out and after looking at it for like 10 minutes told me that I needed a new compressor that would cost 1,250.00 +tax. I declined the service due to the astronomical price and 4 hours after they left the refrigerator started working. It appears that the only problem it had was that coils needed to be cleaned but the technicians quoted work that was not necessary and did not keep the customer's interest in mind when trying to rip them off. Either way I'm out $70 for service call just to be lied to.

Called to get estimate for refridgerator not cooling. When the guy arrived he touched the back of fridge and didn't even remove the back of the fridge. He then handed me an estimate of $1500 to repair the compressor plus I paid $102 for estimate and he stated it would take one week to fix. I decided to shop around I found a guy in Rio Rancho that would do the repair in my home for half the price. Told the repair guy in Rio Rancho that I had Hugo's Appliance Repair come down and told me it was my compressor. We then ordered a new compressor. When the guy from Rio Rancho came down to do the repair he removed the back and there was oil and freon coolant all over and you could see a crack in the high pressure valve it was very easy to see. At the point he tested the compressor and stated it was working just fine. He then replaced the high pressure valve and put some freon coolant. Refridgerator has been working fine for 2 weeks without compressor issues. I feel that I was scammed by Hugo's Appliance Repair. I feel that if he would have removed the back of refridgerator I would have gotten the right estimate. Seems to me they just tell everyone its the compressor for the money. I did notify Hugo's and they stated there is no refunds on estimates that my compressor will still go out but at this time everything is running great.

Communication was excellent, throughout the process. The parts for my tv were not workable and they sold me a good quality product in its place. I'm very thrilled with this business. I will likely purchase other appliances from them, in the future.

Hugo was fantastic. He was here when he said he would be here. He discovered the problem with my TV, ordered the part which came in quickly and he was back out to fix my TV. The TV problem is now solved.
He repaired the TV to our satisfaction. Hugo is very personable, very knowledgeable, and very prompt.

Hugo' TV Repair was extremely professional and courteous. They fixed my unit quickly and hassle free. Will definitely call them for any of my appliance needs.

Set up a repair appt, giving them a $100 deposit against the repairman showing up. When I cancelled the appt within 10 minutes of setting it up, they said they COULD NOT REFUND the deposit to my credit card, and would send me a refund check MINUS A 25% fee for talking to them on the phone. My card company is currently dealing with this issue. Thank heaven I didn't get any further into any kind of business with these people.
