The team at Rick's was so incredibly responsive to our urgent plumbing matter. I called and they were there later that day and took care of the issue with no problems. Their field techs are very respectful and present to work with. They called ahead of time and told us when they would be there so there was no surprises. I will continue to use Rick's for years to come.

Jorge did a health check on my A/C unit. I was concerned about unnecessary repairs and cost. Jorge went through my system, ensured everything was working properly, replaced a single part which need to be replaced (I saw the readings on the capacitor and agreed that it needed to be replaced), and charged me a very reasonable amount.

Since I was the owner/builder of my house I know its systems well. Jorge reviewed the vent flow, temperature differential, and overall health of the entire system. He spent about an hour with me and I feel he did an excellent job and thoroughly explained everything he did.

I will have them back in the fall to perform a health check on the furnace.
If the quality of their service is consistent, they will remain my "go to" plumbing and heating company.

Rick's was called after another company replaced three parts on the air conditioner and then tried to say it's how the thermostat was being used. Rick's came out and fixed it the first time and, as an out-of-state landlord, he kept me up to date on everything and answered all of my questions. Outstanding work and even better customer service. Definitely give them a call if you need ac work!!!

This was my first time using this company and I was well pleased with their work. Jorge was dispatched and arrived earlier then I thought and was very professional. Jorge answered all my questions and was very friendly along with doing an awesome job! Because of Jorge and the positive experience I had, I will definitely be calling them again for my heating and plumbing needs along with recommending Rick's Heating and Plumbing.

Our swamp cooler was on its last limb and we were in desperate need of a replacement. The guys over at Rick's did an amazing job. They were responsive, prompt, and very competitive with their pricing. I'm all about supporting local and these guys will definitely earn my business and referrals in the future. They also take care of veterans which is huge to me. Definitely recommend 10/10 service.

I would give them a 4.5 but don't do 5 because it means there is no room for improvement, which is just silly.

May 2024 Update -

I've done several large projects with Rick's at this point and here is what I have learned.

1) They haven't been the cheapest or most expensive
2) Their recommendations for parts/systems are solid and the mark up is reasonable. They haven't pushed the top end of anything and have even coached not to invest the extra money.
3) When things go wrong (in my experience something always goes wrong with any project and one can only hope it's a small thing) the issue will be dealt with in an expedient manner.
4) They don't leave you hanging if something comes up that will make them late.
5) The only challenge I've had is that it can take a couple of attempts to get a job started. I believe this is because Rick's is truly a family business with 'old-fashion' values. Family comes before new business so be patient while waiting for Emerson to get back to you but not too patient. He will appreciate the reminder. Again, I have only encountered this trying to get a quote and onto the calendar. It hasn't been with every job but it is worth mentioning.

So, long story made short. After Rick's did several smaller jobs for us, we had them install a Seeley Breezair (what a difference!). I end up in the hospital and my wife calls TLC for a swamp cooler startup. TLC comes and leaves but doesn't put the sides on correctly. I call them back and they claim that the install was wrong and that the sides couldn't be closed because the "pan" had warped. Note that the cooler was working fine.

I called Rick's on June 29th and Emerson had the guys out the day after July 4th, which was great given short notice and a long holiday weekend. They showed up early, went up on the roof, and came back down with video showing how easy it is to take the sides off and put them back on.

I'm not sure what was up with TLC but thank you to the Rick's team for being so responsive and saving me a lot of $$.

My old refrigerated unit was top of the line when it was installed by another company, but had been dying for years. Rick's was the 3rd HVAC company I called during a hot June. The first two started a hard sell to replace even before inspecting my old unit, basically from the front porch. I later found the hasty inspections and misdiagnosed repairs did little.

Rick's was referred to me by a relative very happy with his conversion from swamp to AC. They impressed from the start with a thorough review of the old unit including what could be saved and giving good, better, best options. If I had said to save the old unit they would have kept it patched together for another year or two. I ultimately decided to go with a new unit, again with Rick's providing good better best options, all reasonable, letting me decide based on budget. I went with their recommended York unit.

When their supplier let them down, Rick's more than made this right with several solutions that had to have been costly to them. They stayed firm to our original and reasonable agreement. Installers were courteous, Covid safe, and extraordinarily willing to explain in as much detail as my geeky mind could handle.

After the sale and successful install, Rick's contacted and let me know about some rebates they became aware of, saving me $hundreds.

HVAC work isn't cheap. The knowledgeable workers deserve fair pay and quality units cost money. Rick's stood out as an excellent VALUE. I am sitting here cool on a near 100 degree day, very happy with our transaction.

I first hired Ricks to install a pump so that the hot water will get across the house to the shower and not take five minutes doing it. I also subscribe to their maintenance plan and they have been out to install a new hot water heater and now do my HVAC maintenance. All the employees have been very helpful and friendly. I will be sticking with them.

These guys have integrity, knowledge, and experience. They have done several jobs for us. Our lives are better since they made our A/C quieter and more efficient. Our water heater is working better. Our plumbing and fixtures are improved. Their prices are very reasonable and they let us know what to expect. They are busy year round, so schedule in advance. We will continue to use their service for future conversions into more efficient systems. They did honor their veteran pledge.

Rick's Heating and Plumbing does wonderful work for a fair price. I have had them out a few times now; to repair a toilet and to find a leak. Thomas is very friendly, reliable and goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied! It is refreshing to find a company that is honest and reliable.

Many times when I call for a repair man or routine maintenance I get nervous. You never know what the price is going to be or what they are going to find. I did not have that nervousness with Rick’s. The technicians clearly were candid and honest and explained exactly what they were doing to maintain my a/c. I learned so much from them. If I recall correctly their names were Rick and Thomas. I will be calling Ricks Heating every year for my routine maintenance. I am fully confident I am being given great service at a great price.

If I could give Rick's Heating and Plumbing a 10 star rating I would. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them today! A truly honorable business which is rare these days. Honest. It's hard to find enough good things to say about Rick's Plumbing. They are prompt, professional, very good at what they do and are competitive with their pricing. In addition they remember who you are. Recently our evaporative cooler quit working, when they returned my call they said "Mr Capps, you are a good customer, we will work you into the schedule and get you up and running today" and they did! As busy as they are, that was awesome!

I called and left a message on a Saturday to ask for an estimate to do some plumbing work at a house I just purchased. I got a call from one of Ricks Plumbing guys Emerson on a Sunday. He told me he had just come in to check messages and saw that I had called. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone for the work requested and sent a professional young man named David out the next day to do the work. David was very knowledgeable and his work was impeccable. I don't normally leave ratings but these guys are good at what they do and I recommend them to anyone in need of reasonably priced plumbing. I will be using them again to finish another project in the near future. A++ rating

I can’t say enough what a pleasure it is to find a company who gets what customer service means. Although I was provided the wrong number by my warranty company, Edison still took my call, agreed to call the warranty company and help ensure my claim was covered even though his company was not in their network. I live out of town and he gave me comfort that he would get someone out the next day. True to his word, Jorge shows up and not only did he solve the problem, he helped my renters with step by step instructions on how to correct the issue if it happened again. I hate having issues with HVAC, but if anything happens again, Rick’s Heating and Plumbing is first in my list to call. Thank you!!!!

Exceptional work, they spent plenty of time and weren't rushed at all they were very interested in helping us save as much money as possible while getting our heater to work again. They were honest and very down to earth and took the time to explain what they were doing and exactly why they were doing it. Told us exactly what was wrong and what needed to be replaced and what would still be fine if it were fixed without being replaced. Total price after they were gone and everything was fixed was around $500. We had other people come a few days prior and quote us replacement costs close to $15,000-20,000 due to everything "needing" to be replaced. We would later find out that we had received a lot of inaccurate and extreme information. Needless to say we needed a second opinion, and Rick's heating and plumbing was the best second opinion we could have got! They were recommended to us by several friends that use them. We will be calling them for all our future heating and plumbing needs.

I have to say the positive reviews about Rick's are spot on. they finished installing a new tankless water heater for us recently, and can say without hesitation they're honest, hard working and do quality work.
- They came out initially and were able to give us a quote the same day, and throughout the install they stuck to it.
- They didn't try to up sell me on any of the tankless addons that I brought up with them. They were honest about what they felt was and was not worth the additional cost.
- they pointed out a venting change that would be needed to ensure we met code and passed inspection, that none of the other companies we got estimates from brought up.
- they discussed options with us regarding things like the condensation drain, so we had some say in some of the required modifications.
- there were usually at least two people here, for almost two solid days, working hard the entire time to get the install done right.
- they were very professional, but friendly
- they were always on time and gave us regular updates.
- Since we have a very high risk child, they wore masks while here, and were even concerned enough to ask that our son was upstairs before coming in each day.
- they followed up with us soon after to make sure everything was working well and to get us paper work for our rebate.
- the quality of the work they did looks great and we are incredibly happy with our new tankless system.

I honestly just can't say enough positive things about them. everyone from the folks that were doing the work onsite to the folks in their office that helped setup the appointments and take care of payment, were just awesome. we'll be using them going forward with maintenance and any other future issues we have.

Had a plumbing emergency today, Rick’s sent out a plumbing expert with snake in hand. Had the mess fixed in no time at all. I was nervous about the cost being an emergency but it was less than a trip to Costco. So happy!

We were able to get scheduled within a week (for maintenance). The company I used before didn’t want to come out until June!
Jorge was professional and worked on both AC units and heaters without bothering us at all. He obtained access readily even though access was a bit difficult.
I really appreciate Rick’s Plumbing and will use them for our future needs.

I had a leaking hot water tank for my boiler system. I called Ricks Plumbing to have a plumber diagnose and repair the water tank. I left a message and was called back in a reasonable amount of time. Less than 30 minutes. The gentleman I spoke to was was helpful and made an appointment to have a plumber come out two days later which was the earliest possible. fast forward two days and the plumber calls me between the times they said they would and shows up on time. The plumber was also helpful and appeared to give an honest and legit diagnosis, but states he couldn’t give me a price to complete the work. I was directed to call “Donovan” at the same number I made the appointment on to get a price quote.

As soon as the plumber left my home I called The main number to Ricks Plumbing and I left a message requesting a call back to get repair costs. This was at approximately 2pm on a Thursday. As the end of the business day came closer I still hadn’t heard back from Ricks so I called the plumber, who came to my house, and advised him of the situation. I was told they were very busy making call backs and I would be called ASAP. The following day, Friday, I waited until noon for a call that never came so I left another message for Ricks to call me back. By the end of day on Friday I still had not heard back and left a third message.

Meanwhile my water tank is leaking and Ricks has not cared to even call back to explain the delay. I really was hoping to have a good experience with Ricks as they are veteran and law enforcement friendly and had mostly good reviews. The plumber was friendly but not very helpful in getting this job completed. I’m happy to change this review if Ricks ever comes through, but for now I’ve wasted almost a week on them and my water tank is still leaking. I’ll have to wait through the weekend to find another plumber.

I am very pleased with the service, quality and professionalism of Rick's. They were on time, very friendly and pleasant to have in and around our home and were very knowledgeable. We got a new AC combination unit with Smart thermostat installed. They were very conscientious about their work and made sure that we understood what they were doing and how to use our new system. We cannot say enough good things about Rick's!
