We had a bunch of work done by Halco, and they've always been awesome. But today was amazing. Kevin, Noah, and Travis came out this morning and sprayfoamed under our mobile. We were supposed to be out of the house all day, and our autistic kids don't handle that very well. They did everything they could to get us home as soon as possible. They were ahead of schedule, and still apologized for taking so long. Absolutely amazing people, and the work they did is great.

Travis, Trevor and his crew were amazing!!! They were very professional, on time, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and considerate to my busy schedule. They did an amazing job and left my place spotless which was a plus. I would recommend them 100000% they truly were amazing!!!

Dan was my Halco representative that came out and assessed my property and what work had to be done for install. He was fantastic and straight forward, which is all I could ever ask for from this type of work. The thing I appreciated the most was the peace of mind he left me with knowing that my family is squared away and will be taken care of should I be away and something goes wrong with my units. The tremendous value of Halcos warranty program alone is enough to make a me a customer for life.

I needed a new pressure tank and these guys really did go above and beyond to make sure it was how I wanted it! Very willing to listen to ideas and work with what you're aiming to do. They even offered to take a water sample because they were concerned about a few things that stood out. Super appreciative of the hard work and kindness.

Edit from 3ish months later: 5 stars again! Still don't change my rating. We discovered an issue while trying to change out the filters. I asked about it and they were out the next day to correct it. Very appreciative of the fast turnaround and pride in their work. Thank you again, all!

I also have had 2 quotes done for other things in our home and I cannot overstate how kind and willing they are to listen to your ideas and work within your needs and wants while not trying to 'pull one over on you' or 'upsell' you something you may not need. I felt heard and respected every time. As a first time home-owner I really appreciate not being bowled over or brushed aside. Thank you, thank you.

Andrew came my house on time to repair hot water line which busted due to frozen temperatures.

While we he was repairing my hot water line he noticed I didn’t have a lever to drain the hot line to prevent it from getting frozen again. He Installed a lever to drain the hot line and checked all of my lines for leaks.

Andrew is an outstanding person and is a very knowledgeable plumber. He excessed my expectations.

Called for insulation of an older home. Lance is extremely knowledgable and thorough in his assessment of an older drafty home. Estimate was very competitive with the market.

I am absolutely happy how I was treated and my pets. The young man that I dealt with was extremely kind and curtious. He took good care of my pets and checked on them. He also retrieved something from my home for me while I was sitting in my cabin on my property. The work is impeccable!

Brad arrived on time and did a thorough evaluation of our energy issues that will be sent to NYSERDA. No work was done. Brad was very professional and informative.

Halco is lucky to have repair techs like Mike representing the company. Courteous and patient with thoroughly explaining every step of the way, what he was doing. Little did I know but the valve that needed relacing was just going to be the tip of a much larger can of worms iceberg! Mike methodically went through the plumbing to find one corroded and plugged fitting after another! Yikes I'm only house sitting for my in-laws and this boiler looked like it could have been found in Egyptian tomb with other relics. I have the confidence that Mike was so thorough with his trouble shooting, that I should be able to enjoy the rest of my house sitting worry free! Thanks Mike

Thank you to the Halco team member who told me about the maintenance agreement-definitely worth the monthly charge for peace of mind. Having had a flooded cellar previously that took out my hot water heater and damaged my furnace that sound made me panic.
Cody came to my house tonight on a dreary rainy night because the alarm on one of my two sump pumps sounded. Not only was he courteous and kind, he was very knowledgeable. Checked things out thoroughly, diagnosed and fixed the problem, but he explained it to me(having no knowledge of plumbing or heating and cooling) and I actually understood! That is quite an accomplishment! In any old farmhouse any repair is worrisome. Thank you so much Cody for doing such a great job!

Halco is always professional, on time and knowledgeable. Always happy with my a/c servicing and highly recommend! They completed my annual maintenance on my furnace which I highly recommend to find any issues before they become emergencies! Awesome job as always!!!

Had insulation blown into our kitchen cathedral ceiling. Gentlemen were on time and professional. Job was completed to my satisfaction. Very pleased.

The install went smooth but the Midea smart thermostats installed really don’t work. I have used Nest for years and they work great. These however do not.

Update 12/20/25: I had two heat pumps install in September. I had to buy a Nest thermostat to replace the defective Midea one that came with the system, at my own expense The smaller unit is still waiting for a part (now December) so we can put a Nest thermostat on it (that I will also need to purchase). The Midea thermostats consistently read 5-6 degrees warmer than the actual room temp. There also no way to turn off the annoying light on the unit or disable the loud beep it makes when you do anything to it.

Yesterday, we had power outage and when the power came back on the main system would not work. The Nest thermostat that was installed on this unit worked great until this point. A tech came today and spent an hour and a half and was unable to diagnose the problem. It's 25 degrees outside and I am now heating my house with a fireplace and space heaters awaiting a call in two days to discuss next steps. I hope we have heat by Christmas. Not a happy customer!

Update#2 - 12/26/25 - Good news! Halco reached out on a Sunday night and scheduled a tech for the next day. He called before coming and arrived on time. He was able to diagnosis the problem and he was able to take parts from a new unit to get things going in short order. It seems that a transformer was fried by a power surge when our electricity returned. I'm not sure why the unit was installed without a surge protector. That's for further investigation. In any case we had a warm Christmas for which we were grateful.

All of the Halco techs I have dealt with were courteous, friendly and professional.

Update#3 -1/15/26 It's been a struggle. We had another power outage and when the power came on the air handler would not work. A power surge fried a transformer. No heat again. I reached out directly to the CEO Hal Smith. He got back to me right away and a tech arrived and installed the missing surge protectors and a new transformer and finally installed the remaining Nest thermostat. Everything is in order and we are hopeful they will remain that way.

Mr. Smith apologized for the problems we encountered and reimbursed us for the thermostats and extended our service contract. He was concerned and responsive.

My review on this is mixed - I've found the people at Halco, with the exception of one middle manager, to be professional and responsive. I'm not sure how the installation of the surge protectors was missed but that should not have happened. I am happy with the heating system now that I have the Nest thermostats installed. It is a big improvement from my previous system. Hopefully it will continue that way. I will update again after a little more time to see how things go.

My house has been drafty and cold in winter and difficult to cool in winter. My doors leaked and floors were cold. The team came to the house and tested the tightness of the home and we decided when they would return to do the insulating under my home. There were calls from the main office as a reminder . The crew showed up on time and went over the work to be done and answered questions.. I got my cats into the car and vacated while the spray foam was applied. When I returned home I turned on the air purifiers as usual in the evening. The home was warm all over. The doors were sealed as well. Everything was cleaned up and everything was in place..

Everything was done so fast and everything looks great. Kevin and Noah went above and beyond!!!!!
I am really impressed with how good everything looks. They did my whole basement and my attic in just a day. With just a two man crew!

Great experience! Tech was on time and did a great job. I didn't get his name but he had 35 years of experience and it showed. We will absolutely use them again.

Jenni and Trevor did a great job installing our multi zone heating and cooling mini split units. They were very professional, communicating what and when they were doing, demonstrating how to use the systems, and keeping the worksites neat. Everything was done in three days.
