I am a first time homebuyer and my furnace decided not to kick on anymore. I called the number on the sticker bc they have clearly serviced it before. I’m really happy I did! They were fast, polite and explained every step of the process very clearly. I will not hesitate to call them for any other heating and cooling concerns I have in the future.

I called Hawn about a problem with two of my bedrooms NOT receiving heat/ac. The person I spoke with suggested that my duct dampers might need replacing. She suggested that I book a furnace cleaning to save money on the service cost. I had to wait three months for this appointment. The service person looked at my duct work and shared that he, "really doesn't know very much about problem-solving duct work issues"....he assured me that, "I will speak with my supervisor and Hawn will get back to you as to what the issue might be". I was charged $335 and received no bill/receipt. After being asked for a bill/receipt, the service person told me..."K... is not in the office and it might be a week or more before you receive a receipt". I called Hawn the next day and asked the person who answered the phone for the bill/receipt. The person knew nothing about my situation...however, sent me a bill in my email (no paid in full receipt though). I shared that I was waiting for an answer to my hvac issue and the person reassured me that he would get back to me. After several days, I have not heard from the company and will not call them again as they are completely unreliable in that they sent a service-person who knew nothing about the problem I called about; moreover, I was charged almost $200 for this person to tell me he was not able to help me. In my humble opinion, this company preys on customers.

I was having an issue with my furnace so they came out to take a look. They charged $140 just to come into the house and then another $80 for the singular component of the furnace they tested. After the test was normal, they said they didn't know what else would be causing the problem and left with no further suggestions on how to address the issue. Result was $240 for about 25 minutes of work and no answers to the problem. I do not recommend using them.

Great experience with Hawn Heating and Air Conditioning. Everything was handled professionally and the installation of our Navien combi boiler went smoothly. Doug Hayden and Frank did the install and they were excellent, very knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything, and clearly take pride in their work. I felt confident the system was installed correctly. Highly recommend.

I've used Hawn for a couple of years for my furnace maintenance. I love that when I call, a local person who actually works for Hawn answers. They're always helpful and kind.

The service is great as well. The techs are thorough and professional. Never has one tried to push me to get something not needed. They show up on time and do a great job.

I have to be honest last year I wasn’t completely happy and satisfied with the service I received from on of their techs who is not surprisingly no longer with them. So I gave them another try this year I spoke with the owner he sent out another tech Tyler who was absolutely professional knowledgeable and got the issue resolved the first time and saved me a ton of money. I would strongly recommend them to everyone and after hearing Tyler explain what happened last year they have gotten my trust 100%. Thank you again for a job well done. On time accurate with estimate and work was done in a timely manner.

Joe M is a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt about his technical abilities but he also is very personal. I feel he listens to you and works with you to solve your issues. That is a wonderful trait especially when you are talking about an expensive repair. I never need to call anyone else because I know I am getting the best service and value. High performance has installed 2 furnaces for me and will now be replacing gas lines in my rental property. I was very happy to see Joe M knock on my door. It is wonderful getting to work with such great people.

Greg has Fabulous customer service and explaining to us exactly what he was doing and why and checked to make sure all is working in tip top shape! So appreciate his patience and knowledge!

Phil came out helped us. Fast and quality work. 5 stars all around. Will definitely use them for future projects!

I have an older oil furnace which stopped working at 7:30 pm. My regular company refused to make an emergency call, leaving me with a 50 degree house for 14 hours. Very few heating companies service oil furnaces , so I was very happy to learn that High Performance Heating does. I first spoke with Matt on the phone and he was very friendly and helpful. Joe the technician arrived on time in the morning, was very friendly, professional, respectful, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem very quickly. He went to get the part in Rochester, came all the way back and efficiently made the repair. Price was very good and affordable. I'll definitely call High Performance for future service and would highly recommend to others.

Updated review since having more services done:

I've had to email this company on two separate occasions for follow-ups on services I've had completed (minor things I needed someone to double check for me) and not only did they come out next business day from when I contacted them but they also worked around my child's nap schedule! This company is amazing and Meghan M and Phil are truly wonderful.

Zana was efficient and professional. He provided excellent service. Answered all my questions. He went the extra mile to explain everything he did and make sure that I understood how to work my new thermostat. He even programmed it for me. I would highly recommend this company.

This was our first experience with High Performance and it was wonderful! We scheduled a regular maintenance appointment but also had questions regarding our thermostat. Joe M was knowledgeable, courteous, and very trustworthy! He not only took his time to examine everything but also informed me what he was looking at and for. At the end of the day, I get the impression this company is about consulting with their clients to make sure they are going through the proper steps and maintenance.

Junior was here this afternoon for a furnace cleaning. Pleasant, thorough, neat and organized, explained all is work and showed all the pictures of his work: overall, excellent service. VERY satisfied. Thanks Junior!

First time ever using High Performance Heating and Cooling to get my Furnace checked out for the Winter season. I was completely impressed by the to Technicians, Joe and Matt. Went completely above and beyond the call. Very knowledgeable guys, friendly, courteous, just a couple of real good guys. Over the years i have had the big names and over priced guys come in that did not do NEARLY what Joe and Matt did at a much more reasonable price. My Wife and i are considering a service Contract. Greg did an excellent job! He was very informative and was able to see a problem with the furnace when he was there. He ordered the part and replaced it within a couple days. I would recommend High Performance to anyone looking for quality service.

Greg did a great job on my Mitsubishi AC! It was 67 degrees in my house in no time. The unit was dirty and plugged up. He worked hard on it and I will call you again to tune up my Gas Furnace. My GSD Bear loved him too! Recommend!!!
