The Hawn technician arrived on time for our annual service. He wore a proper fitting mask the entire time he was here (thank you Philip). The service was thorough. Philip was friendly and informative.
We’ve been Hawn customers for over 12 years and have always been happy with their service and products.

The technician, Pete, was very professional and friendly. He found the problem quickly. He made sure I was OK with the repair fee before he started the repair. He thoroughly checked the whole system and advised that the system was nearing its end of life. He advised what to look for when the system eventually needed to be replaced. I was extremely happy with the work done and the cost of repair. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Hawn again for any future HVAC work at my house based on the service provided to me today.

Hawn did a great job from start to finish with my heating issue. Their customer service group was very helpful and their technician completed the repair in a timely matter. Everyone was very professional and I highly recommended them. I recently made an appointment to have Hawn service my central air conditioning, which was only putting out slightly cooler than room temperature air this season. Shortly after making my appointment, Kim called back to inquire about the last time I changed the furnace filter. I was embarrassed to admit that I had not changed the filter since the furnace was installed (by Hawn) 4 years ago. Kim explained that a dirty/clogged filter could make all the difference in how the central air performs. I canceled my appointment and ordered a new filter online.

I've worked with far LESS reputable HVAC companies who have full-out lied to me, trying to convince me of things that were not true and get paid for unnecessary work. The good people at Hawn felt it was more important to have me check an easy potential cause for poor A/C performance, rather than say nothing and ensure they'd get paid for at least a service call and new filter replacement.

So, Hawn didn't get paid this time because I was able to take care of it myself. What they did was very smart, however. They effectively made me a customer for life. I was already pleased with their installation of my furnace 4 years ago. A company built on a foundation of honesty and integrity is well worth my hard-earned money and loyalty.

We have Hawn come in twice a year for routine maintenance. Furnace in the fall and air conditioner in the spring. They are professional, courteous and efficient. I appreciate that they don't try top upsell me or puff the service sale. We've been a customer for decades and we're very happy with the service and value.

Phil and Pete of Hawn Heating were extremely professional in their installation of my new Central AC system the other day.
Arriving on time, they made sure to review with me exactly what was planned for the job and made sure my questions/concerns were noted.
I work from home and other than a little unavoidable noise from ductwork, I could barely tell they were in the house, very much appreciated 👍
At the end of the installation they made sure to review everything with me and answered all my questions.
The installation is well thought out, clean, neat/tidy, detail oriented.
Before they left, I don't think Pete or Phil missed a single trimmed wire or zip tie, or speck of packing material in their clean up, either inside or outside. Again.... professional and appreciated.

Mike the salesperson was also very friendly, providing good info and new perspectives and things to think about in the world of AC during his initial visit for the estimate.

Jean was also very friendly and helpful when I stopped by the office, even though it was probably during her lunch break...

I have no problems recommending Hawn to anyone I know, and if I need something else done around my own house in the future, I know where I'm checking first.

We have trusted Hawn Heating for over 15 years and have appreciated their professionalism and personal attention and support. Our yearly maintenance contract is reasonably priced and the reminders to have this done are great. Every technician has been friendly, educational, and thorough in their service. They put anew furnace system in a few years ago and we are very happy with it!

Get a second opinion.
I have an old furnace that needed a replacement part. I hired Hawn for a diagnostic visit. After coming by, they took a few days to call me back during a cold spell then made replacing the furnace seem extremely urgent and my only option.
I made a few calls and a second company was able to clean and fix the problem.
I'm sorry to say that as a woman homeowner, this isn't the first time a contractor has tried to sell me on the most expensive option. I appreciate that the owner followed up with me and was polite, but I think it's important reviews show the whole picture of an interaction.
I hope Hawn can use this feedback to improve it's repair service and customer service, particularly for women homeowners and folks who need more options than throwing money at a problem.
If you want a new furnace, I'm sure Hawn does great.

Hawn is an excellent company. My furnace stopped working and they promptly scheduled an appointment. Ultimately, their tech found a crack in my 34 year old furnace unrelated to why it stopped working. Our furnace was very dangerous unbeknownst to me. Their sales rep met with me accommodating my schedule and the new furnace was installed a few days later. Hawn’s staff are truly wonderful people and they will be my go to company from now on. I really appreciate their curtesy and their willingness to answer all my questions.

We appreciate the quick turnaround. Less than a week from order to installation.
The technicians that installed our new water heater were awesome. Very courteous and professional. On a rainy day, they went out of their way to make sure that they didn’t track mud through the house. Used new boot covers each time they reentered the house and put down drop cloths from the front door to both work locations in our house. After the installation was complete, they cleaned up everything. No extra parts, pieces or garbage were left behind at all. We will definitely recommend Hawn Heating and Air Conditioning to all our family and friends.

Jason arrived on time and completed the cleaning of our furnaces. We were impressed with his willingness to explain the process, the fact that he seemed very knowledgeable., and even. more with his friendly personality. All in all a terrific job! Glad to recommend him

Pete was our technician and he was absolutely wonderful. Right on time, personable, courteous, clearly knowledgeable and just a real professional. He spent considerable time getting the details for our concern and exploring options. He was very thorough in his inspection and he ended up doing a full maintenance check on our unit. He was candid about the age and was helpful in explaining our options. I could not be any happier with Hawn’s level of competence and professionalism. Gave great advice as to a new boiler and solution for my hot water needs. The price was good and their advice was better than the other estimates. I was very impressed by the installers and they did a great job respecting my house, basement was cleaner after they left than when they arrived. The installer did an excellent job explaining my new equipment as well. The true test wont be until the heating season starts next year but I am not concerned.

Two visits to install a wall air conditioning unit because they did not bring the right parts and did not know what they were doing
Lost time at work doubled for me
And then made me late for my afternoon schedule by parking 2 (yes 2?!) of their vans in my driveway for no apparent reason and without asking so I could not get my car out
Terrible, terrible service— air conditioning unit was supposed to be replaced in August and got done in November— really?!— is this a joke?
Reaching to the Better Business Bureau and considering further action too

We’ve had several services completed through Hawn over the last few years and have always had a great experience with their team! So far they’ve completed a new A/C install (July 2020), a home energy assessment (March 2023) and a new water heat pump install (March 2023). Everyone we’ve interacted with has been friendly and knowledgeable. All of the work they’ve completed for us has been well-done. We are happy customers and highly recommend Hawn!

We purchased a renovated Farmhouse this past Spring with a 25 year old Boiler Hot Water System burning Propane. I knew that entire system had to be replaced. There were only 2 HVAC companies I trust to do Hydronic work from my inside industry knowledge. Their Salesman Mike was very professional quoting our job and we chose Hawn for a variety of reasons over the other company. When the guys came to install the New Boiler they discovered the Chimney it was Venting into was Completely Plugged and could have killed us all from Carbon Monoxide. Hawn Literally Saved Our Lives. We had to Change on the fly to a wall mounted NAVIEN Condensing Boiler Vented through outside wall. The extra Cost for that was very reasonable and fair so that is what we have. The Installation Crew could not have been more Professional. The 3 Zone System Design and Installation is a work of ART. Now our Farmhouse is Toasty Warm properly Controlled and Zoned and We Will Save $$$ A Fortune on Propane vs that mess we had before.
I highly and I mean HIGHLY recommend Hawn Heating for your Hydronic Boiler Upgrade or System Service. Hawn Are Simply The Best.

I asked for an estimate to replace my 20 year old furnace. I specifically asked for a furnace with the same heat output. The salesman then quoted me a much smaller furnace and then argued with me that my furnace put out too much heat for my house. I've lived here for 10 years and it cannot heat my house on the coldest nights. The price was reasonable, though. I wish he would have just listened to me.

Edit after owner response:

I specifically asked for a furnace with no less than my current 75K BTU output. The salesman then quoted me a 60K BTU furnace (20% less heat output) without consulting me.

I then explained the unique characteristics of my home over email. My home has a finished and heated attic (a 3rd floor is about 50% more sq ft than the 2 floor sq ft he's referencing). And the outside walls are block construction from 1928 with no insulation. I explained that my current furnace sometimes runs 24 hours a day according to Nest and can not get the temperature over 68 degrees on the coldest days. The salesman continued to argue with me that he knew I needed a smaller furnace.

I asked if Hawn offered some sort of guarantee that the smaller furnace would keep my house warm and they did not offer me any such guarantee. Hawn seems okay with rolling the dice on whether a furnace significantly smaller than the one that's been heating the house since 2004 can keep my family warm this winter.

To Hawn: You should ask Frank to forward the 7 emails we sent back and forth. I see at least one lie about me asking for a 100K BTU furnace. I sent pictures of the 75K BTU rating of my current furnace. This salesman is costing you sales and your business' reputation.

To Potential Customers: Don't gamble on being able to keep your family warm. Stay away from businesses who won't listen to you and who you cannot trust.

I was extremely pleased with Hawn Heating. With the harsh winter we are having I woke up this morning with no heat. I contacted Hawn and within 3 hours they were at my home and fixed the problem. The technician was very professional and courteous and explained everything that was going on. I would highly recommend Hawn Heating!!! Thank you

High quality work and affordable. I had our ducts cleaned in a new to us house that is 80 years old. The amount of dirt and dog hair that they removed was impressive. Highly recommend! We also had a mini split installed for out garage that works great. Both services very affordable and would recommend them to everyone. Thanks for the great work!

Our 32 y/o Rheem air conditioner finally quit working. We arranged to meet with 4 companies to get bids to replace it. One of them was Hawn Heating & Air. Their Representative, Frank Vitello, arrived promptly for his appointment. He introduced himself...was very respectful, shook our hands and we sat down to discuss our issues. He then went to look at the furnace in the basement (a brand new Amana furnace, installed 2 years ago from a competitor), then went out to look at the old Rheem air unit. He was knowledgable, professional and very detailed. We are customers, that do a lot of research ahead of time and consider ourselves well informed.....and we knew that what Frank was telling us was factual....unlike the other reps, who walked in, threw a piece of paper at us with prices (not even bothering to look at the house/stats). We selected Hawn Heating, even though (1) other bid for the job was lower. We received an official quote quickly, wrote out the 50% deposit for Frank to pick up and got on the install schedule. The installers were able to come sooner than they originally told us. Doug & Hayden arrived exactly on time at 8:00 am. They were polite & professional. They walked the house to get the lay of the land and began the work. By 12:30 pm...the new air was on, Doug walked us through what work had been completed. Asked us if we had any questions...we signed our paperwork, handed over the final check payment and off they went at 1:00 pm. The 5 hour install process was faster that we had expected. It was easy, stress-free and very much welcome. We highly recommend Hawn Heating and have told all our family, friends and work clients.

I recently purchased a new high-efficiency gas furnace fromHawn Heating and Cooling. They didn’t offer me the lowest price, but they were pretty close. And the salesperson I worked with (Aaron, a member of the Hawn family) was prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, highly professional and very responsive in person and over the phone. The two-man installation crew did a terrific job and answered all of my questions. I found this company very good to work with. Hawn was recommended to me by a neighbor, and I sure am glad that he pointed me in their direction.
