This is the second time we've dealt with Durham Plumbing Services. Both times they've been very respectful of our home and did their best to get things fixed right with minimum disruption. I really appreciate the professionalism and the level of customer service they provide. I would readily recommend them to a friend, without hesitation!

My experiences with Durham Plumbing Services have been wonderful. A person answers the phone (rather than a message service), plumbers arrive on time and are courteous and well-informed, and they actually clean up before leaving. DPS replaced all drainage pipes in my house and provided routine plumbing services as well. On their last visit, the plumbers assured me I did not (yet) need a new water heater. I appreciate that they did not pressure me to buy something I don't need right now. I highly recommend DPS.

Kevin called prior to arriving. He knew exactly how to fix my shower problem and talked me through what he was doing. I'm pleased with my shower, and it works properly now. I would definitely contact Durham Plumbing Services again. UPDATE: 7/1/2016 - Durham Plumbing did a fantastic job at repairing my leaky shower faucet by repairing the plumbing behind my shower wall and installing new fixtures and knobs. He worked hard for several hours and my shower looks and works great. Thank you again!

Michael is a pleasure to work with and performs quick, quality work. He diagnosed all three of my plumbing issues and was able to repair them soon thereafter. It is obvious that he cares a lot about his clients and the quality of service he provides them. The customer service is unparalleled.

Michael did a great job helping us figure out how to get water to a once vacant lot for our urban farm. We had literally called half a dozen other plumbers and folks from the city who could not solve our problem and were feeling pretty bummed out about it. That's when we heard about Durham Plumbing Services from a friend.

Michael stuck with a hard job until it was done, completed the work in a timely manner, and was affordable. I highly recommend him!

Michael was great! He was polite and professional. He took care of the problem quickly and made sure I was happy with it. I'll definitely be using him in the future for any plumbing needs. As a new homeowner, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Short Review: I hate being a landlord, but I love Durham Plumbing Services.

Long Review: 2 weeks after renting out our house for the first time, we had a major plumbing issue and were told by a different plumber we needed to have a cleanout installed to clear the blockage. The original plumber couldn't seem to give me a quote on the work they recommended despite calling them several times, so a friend recommended I called Durham Plumbing Services. They gave me a quote over the phone, scheduled me for the next day, and took care of it. Great to work with and great communication (especially considering I had to handle all this from across the country).

Durham Plumbing had to repair couple items and install handheld shower head for us. He was very professional and friendly! Right on time and only took 40 minutes to handle the job!

DPS was quick to respond and they were able to come out the same week to fix the problems I was having. Michael responded quickly to texts, was kind, sweet to my pup, and efficient. His prices are very fair and he always attempts to save you money where he can. I will definitely use him again and would recommend to others!

I had a drainage leak in my kitchen and it was the main pipe. I called Durham Plumbing Service and Mike answered he is really cool. I was worried about being stuck with a service charge before they came. He allowed me to send him video pictures to at least give me an estimate first. Yes, I was grateful for this because it saved me money.
Kevin called 30 minutes prior to coming this was great because I like advanced notice instead of sitting around waiting. He was on time when he arrived and got to work. He explained my issue and boy was my pipe clogged. He repaired the leak and I was happy. He cleaned up after himself made sure there was not leaks. I paid via card and the coolest thing was they have the new technology for cards with chips.
I really appreciate honest and professional work.
I told him that Durham Plumbing services are stuck with me for LIFE!! LMBO, because didn't even know that Mike was the owner until Kevin gave me the card.
For the people that read this post I can honestly say I trust them doing plumbing services in my house and not get ripped off financially. The price for service today was actually below the estimated price for me.

Durham Plumbing Services is fantastic. We have been using them for years and they are prompt, professional and their rates are so reasonable. We’ve never had any issues with any of their work, although I have no doubt that Michael would come out to fix it himself if we did. I highly recommend this locally owned business - you won’t find anyone better.

On a Saturday night around 8pm, I called Durham Plumbing Services and spoke to Michael, the owner. He was extremely knowledgeable and was actually able to troubleshoot over the phone with me. He saved me a plumbing visit by identifying the correct part I needed to pick up at a hardware store to get me through the replacement of an old chrome nipple, toilet valve line, and angle valve.

I hooked everything up, turned the main water supply line back on, and afforded my wife and kids the opportunity for a bath before bed at 9:30pm!!!!

Very impressed by Durham Plumbing Services. Mike answered my call straight away and was able to schedule a time for his company to come by in less than 24 hours. They sent David who was very personable and had the problem fixed within 30 minutes. We have used them in the past and definitely plan to continue using them for any future plumbing problems we have. I recommend using this company.

My Mom's water bill was extremely high. Called Durham Plumbing Services and was scheduled right away for a diagnosis. Mike is pleasant, polite and professional. The cost to make the repairs was absolutely affordable.

Could not recommend this company more! We needed a hot water heater replaced as well as a leak fixed and the quote we received from Michael was the best we received by far. He was also extremely communicative and able to get our job done quickly. We definitely plan to work with him again in the future on any plumbing needs!

We didn't use Durham Plumbing Services, but here's why I'm giving them 5 stars.

We had a company come out yesterday to repair our gas fireplace. As they were nearing the end of the repair and doing a final check, their gas leak detector indicated a small leak that appeared to be around the shutoff valve.

We had them shut off the main gas valve outside and I started making calls to see about getting a plumber out last night to take a look (yes, licensed plumbers work on gas pipes. Who knew lol).

The first company I called was Durham Plumbing Services. They didn't pick up, but then right after I hung up I got a text from someone (I never caught your name. Sorry!) telling me he was in a noisy area and asked how he could help.

I explained what was going on and that we had shut off the main valve outside. He said they wouldn't be able to make it out that night but could come out first thing tomorrow. He then proceeded to tell me we'd probably get charged $650-$750 for an emergency dispatch, so then we decided we could freeze for one night and save that money lol He then gave me a rough idea of what they might charge.

He then went on to let me know he had some electric heaters we could come pick up if we needed them! We had a space heater, so we declined the offer, but it's great to see a company go above and beyond. We'll definitely give them a ring next time we need any plumbing work done.

We replaced several toilets and Michael did a great job assembling and installing them. He was polite, responsive and he quickly and professionally installed them. Additionally we called him a couple of weeks later for a shower faucet issue. He came over and quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the Moen valve with a new one. When we have other plumbing work arise Michael will be the one we call, we highly recommend him.

I’ve called Mike several times for my plumbing needs and will usually come the same day when possible. He knows what to do and gets the job done right. I highly recommend Durham Plumbing Services!

On 11/29/2023 my husband and I had a plumbing emergency. We needed to turn off the main water supply to our house. We could not locate the water valve outside, as the water ran in the upstairs bathroom. We called several 24/7 plumbers in the area that was advertised as such. Then we called Durham Plumbing Services. We called at 9:35pm and he returned our call at 9:36pm. The professional walked us through the process of shutting off the water valve, after helping us locate it outside. He assured us several times that he would stay on the phone with us until the process was completed. In the future, if we need anything, Durham Plumbing Services is at the top of the list! We have the project completed and ready to go!

We had a great experience with Durham Plumbing services! Michael was communicative, helpful and took the time to fix our houses’ plumbing issues and put the date and time in to give us honest recommendations on what he’d do if it was his house, and if he were in our shoes. We felt the price quote and cost was accurate for the amount of work involved. (Can’t day the same about another quote we got from a different plumber.) Definitely will hire Michael and DPS again if something comes up!
