They are genuinely very good. We have used them for tune ups, quotes, a whole HVAC replacement, and more. We were very fortunate to find them and I would highly reccommend them.

The price is not much more expensive than the average here but the technicians and company are very responsive, helpful and understanding.

Our new HVAC unit has been functioning well within the specs they explained to us the past 20 days and even before then they made good choices and explained to us in detail any repairs to help us save money in the long run since our old unit was aging and not cooling as well as it needed to be.

I have been very happy with them through the entire process. From the quoting to the scheduling to the actual repair/replacements to even after the project was done they followed up and helped us apply for rebates.

Very minimal hassle, quality and professional service.

Our HVAC system has kept us very very well cooled and I compared it to our system running from last year and we've saved around 12-15 dollars per billing cycle already.

I will update once the Winter season has passed to add additional points for heating.

Winter EDIT:

Very good in the Winter, heat turns on when it needs to and within 5-10 minutes the entire first floor is toasty warm. Smaller rooms like a bathroom warms up almost instantly.

Anna was extremely helpful identifying the areas of concern on my home inspection. She was able to make recommendations and fix problems efficiently. I would definitely recommend Anna’s expertise!

My gas furnace stopped working & I called Alexander Services for help. Jordan, one of their technicians, came & diagnosed the problem & ordered the part that was needed. Derek & David wee the technicians who replaced the part when it arrived. All these guys were good at their job, professional, & quick. The wait staff who fielded my calls were kind, listened well & responded to all my questions. I appreciate all their hard work!

Jordan and Charles came to check on our unit when the heat went out. They explained what was wrong and checked our warranty information. I received a call the next day to set up an appointment for the following morning. Chris arrived to fix the heat, and then showed me pictures of the work he did so I could see it. All three gentlemen were polite and informative.

Avoid at all costs. I mean you do you, but read my experience and then decide if they are worth hiring.

Our heat went out about 3 days before and anticipated ice storm and a very cold snap. It was the weekend and our usual trusted HVAC company was not open. Due to the upcoming weather we reached out to Alexander Services based on an online recommendation. The good part is that they answered quickly and were able to get someone out quickly. The tech diagnosed the problem as our heating unit needing a new control board, at the tune of $1,100. He had to order it and said it would take a few days before they could come back. A few days later a different tech arrived to install the control board. This tech then said that in addition to the control board we needed a new igniter, which would add $600 to the bill. We didn't have much choice due to the weather so we went ahead with the repair.

9 days later our heat goes out again. We call Alexander Services and they come out. They tell us the igniter is broken. I expressed disbelief because it was supposedly a brand new igniter. The tech then tells me that we have a cracked heat exchanger, shows me some pictures quickly of close-ups of metal, and says they are not allowed to work on any system with a cracked heat exchanger. He then told me just how dangerous a cracked heat exchanger is. And goes to look for carbon monoxide detectors in our house. He then tells us that it's not worth fixing a cracked heat exchanger and they would have to give us a quote for a whole new system. When I asked about the $2,000 we had already paid, he said it would only be credited towards a new system. He also claimed the igniter breaking was due to the cracked heat exchanger.

We quickly got our trusted HVAC guys out. They did a full visual inspection of the heat exchanger and did not note any cracks. They also did a combustion test to check for carbon monoxide. After some troubleshooting they found out that the new control board Alexander Services had replaced was a 120 volt control board. The igniter they replaced it with was an 80 volt igniter. No duh the igniter failed. Our trusted company replaced it with the correct voltage igniter.

When I called Alexander Services for a resolution I was quickly shot down. We paid them nearly $2,000, had a non-functioning heating system, and had given them a chance to rectify it and was given the high pressure the sales tactic of needing a new system. When I asked for the igniter cost to be refunded at a bare minimum, I was told that their supplier gave them that part, so it's not their fault and they were not going to refund anything. It took 2 weeks and multiple phone calls to finally recover the cost of the igniter.

I have since learned that the price we paid for a control board and igniter are on the exceedingly high-end for HVAC repair costs. Long story short, we paid through our ears for unexperienced techs, multiple days without heat, having to hire a second company to fix the problem, and then having to pull teeth to get any semblance of a fair refund. Avoid at all costs.

​We had a multi-part, frustrating experience trying to resolve a furnace issue over the last year. I want to start by saying the technicians from Alexander Services were consistently on time, professional, and very friendly. This is why I am giving two stars instead of one.

​However, the repeated failures to resolve the core problem and the dangerous mistakes have completely eroded my confidence.

​The initial repair to replace a zone control board resulted in a serious error where a technician left a jumper in the furnace, causing the unit to run constantly. While I was out of town, my house reached 84 degrees in the middle of winter—a costly and potentially dangerous situation that required an emergency visit to resolve.

​Following this, a new issue arose where the gas solenoid clicks and sputters rapidly. We had multiple return visits (4-6) where technicians consistently misdiagnosed the issue, trying to fix a clogged drain despite the sputtering continuing immediately after they left. The team lead attempted the same drain clear, and when the problem still persisted, I sent a video recording of the sputtering, which was acknowledged but never followed up on.

​Most recently, during our scheduled annual maintenance (Visit 7), the technician left the gas supply to the furnace off, rendering it completely inoperable for the season until I discovered and corrected the mistake.
​After seven separate visits over the course of a year, the original sputtering problem remains unresolved, and the series of significant errors makes me unable to recommend them for anything beyond simple maintenance. They are great people, but I need a company that can actually diagnose and fix complex problems reliably.

Due to the unusually cold weather we've been having our furnace drainage pipe was completely frozen and we were without heat for a couple days. Charles came out and worked hard to thaw out the pipe and get things working again. He could have easily said "you'll just have to wait until it melts" and went on with his day but he was up there with a hair dryer and warm water for at least a couple hours melting the ice until it started draining again. We really appreciate his hard work!

I have use Alexander heat and air for years on different houses i own, frank the owner and Christina he’s wife always very polite not only them but the people working for them top notch. Clean cut polite respectful. They know the business and this is why i keep on calling Alexander every time i need help. Used Alexander for an issue with my HVAC and they resolved it with fair pricing and honest feedback about the system my builder installed. I have since signed up for their membership, with seasonal tune ups and am happy with the service! Always friendly and professional technicians.

Alexander Services was amazing. They got my furnace up and running just in time before the winter storm Fern hit, and their communication throughout the process was top notch. The technician, Charles, came in, knew exactly what to do, and had everything working quickly. Super professional, responsive, and easy to work with. I’m very grateful and highly recommend them.

Charles was very professional, and punctual. He had the knowledge to quickly and accurately diagnose the issue I was having with my HVAC. He took care of ordering the part and helped me look into the warranty of the system. Turns out, the warranty did end up covering the part cost but not labor, saving me over $300 in parts costs. Once the part came in, he was back the next day to install and check the system for function. All in all a great experience. I'll be requesting Charles in the future if I need HVAC work. 👍👍

This review is for two of my houses. They are both under the maintenance care program and were both recently serviced in February 2026. This company has serviced my houses over many many years and has taken good care Of every issue that has come up. They are the whole package.!!! Same-day service when needed, friendly, helpful, prompt, informative, the office staff is amazing, everyone is so friendly, the technicians are very knowledgeable and very helpful and thorough, and their system of being on time and letting you know when they’re on their way is wonderful….

Matt did a great job installing my first ceiling light/fan. He identified that the second ceiling light/fan required a different box in the ceiling, and ordered the correct equipment. Rob came a week later and did an awesome job installing the second ceiling light/fan. His attention to detail was remarkable! Great job Matt and Rob!

Hello all. I got a free estimate on 7/8/25. Matt was very knowledgeable & personable. He went through every aspect of the process. They installed my new HVAC unit the very next day! They were on time and got to work. Arrival time around 8am & done by 2pm. The cost was very competitive & fair. They did an awesome job!

First routine service visit went well. The technician called when on the way and was right on schedule. Did all the necessary service work and left everything in order. I'm quite pleased.

My other unit mysteriously died the day after thier visit. Also tried to get me to pay for future service. Nothing but fraud.... I made the mistake of not watching the work get done. I thought I would trust them doing thier work. Biiiig mistake.

Have been very happy with Ideal. We have had our whole system replaced, as well as, our duct system replaced in the last several years. Nick is the tech who has come to maintenance our system, and we have been very happy. He is very thorough, always documents and takes pictures to show what he's done and answers any and all questions I have. Would definitely recommend them and Nick as your maintenance tech.
