I would like to let everyone know that I never write reviews but the experience I had with this company and the owner Travis was the worst professional experience I have ever had with any company!!! I want to warm everyone that reads this DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Travis came out and fixed my heat and charged me over $200. 00. about 3 weeks later my heat went out again. Travis came out and worked on it again and about month later my heat went out again. The 3rd time he came out he replace a part in my furnace with another used part for about $280 and told me that it should work and that he was trying to save me some money. He advise me that if that part didn't work that he would get a new part and I could pay the difference. Well about 5 months later my heat went out again. I called Travis about the part and told me that he would replace it. After that I never heard back from him. I called multiple time and left messages with no return call and the mean time I was without heat for a week. Finally I had to call another company who came out and fixed it. I will be taking this to court but hopefully by writing this I can save another customer the same bad experience.

4/12/21- I just saw your update reply 8 years later. The parts that where installed failed within months not a year later. My number and address has always been the same and I called the company multiple times and never got a call back after these services. I have never seen or received a message from you since that original post. My number and address has never changed so you did not try to reach out to me or resolved this issue or offer any other services. I stand by what I said and it’s all true.

Travis Heating & Cooling was on-time, honest and went above and beyond to service our air conditioning units that are 12 years old. Other companies would have simply told us that they needed replaced, but Travis made repairs and then explained why it would be best to budget for new units in the Spring. Travis also provided a very reasonable estimate for the new system.

If you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket, then definitely call Travis heating and cooling to come diagnose a minor concern with your AC system. You will get to know them on a first name basis with the multiple trips and misdiagnosis. Three separate trips for the same concern and it still wasn't fixed. One of the trips they even wired the thermostat wrong and had to send the lead tech, who figured it out and called the other repairman back to show him how to do it correctly...really? Kept charging me for parts that did not fix the concern, and the owner, Travis, would not call me back. I finally hired another company to get the problem resolved.

I called Travis Heating & A/C because my neighbor had a very good experience with them and I did as well, for sure. Only a warm trickle of air was coming out of my central air and I called and got someone dispatched the same day. (I talked to a very nice and helpful lady, Leslie.) The arrival window was 4 to 6pm and technician Will Beard was here around 4:15pm. Will tested the system outside and in my attic and diagnosed the problem within just a few minutes. He replaced the capacitor in my attic and was gone within an hour or so. All along the way, Will explained everything with great expertise, clarity and friendliness. He also told me about an expense I might possibly incur in the next couple years and that those 89 dollar system tune-ups are smart to do. Most important of all, he wasn't trying to sell me everything under the sun. While I do have limited knowledge about heating and air, if Will had told me everything needed to be replaced, I would have done it. He simply didn't do that. Travis Heating & A/C could have made extra money in the short term but instead I will be telling everyone I know that this is a great company to use. In other words, integrity seems to be their long term business model. I can't recommend Travis Heating & A/C, and especially Will Beard, enough. Best $220.00 I've spent in a long time.

Called Travis late AM and arrived the same day at time specified. He provided a quick resolution to our AC not running after only a few minutes of evaluating the situation. After cleaning a clogged drain pipe and drained the water out of the pan on the furnace he had the air working. He stated that in time we would need a new Central Air Unit to replace our 18 yr old one but assured us that it was not necessary at this time. He showed a genuine concern for me, the customer. I highly recommend Travis Air & Heating for your HVAC needs. QUALITY + PROFESSIONAL SERVICE!

Travis is the best! I had a very old AC unit that wasn’t working and probably needed replacing. I was not prepared for having a new unit installed, but agreed. Travis arrived, ready to install the new unit, but upon further review, decided there might still be some life in the old unit. He spent 4 hours giving it a complete overhaul, replaced some parts and it is now cooling great. The bill was significantly less than a new unit and this gives me time to prepare for the inevitable demise of the very old unit. Travis was kind and considerate and put himself in my shoes. When the time comes to replace the unit, Travis will be doing the installation! Thank you Travis!!!!

Travis Heating and Air provided me with great service. They were honest in the repair needed and the price for the repair was given upfront. James was the assigned technician. I will use this company again.

I called for service on Saturday June 29th at 3:30pm because my A/C stopped working and Travis sent his service tech around 6:00pm the service tech was great and very polite. He repaired my A/C unit in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend them and the service tech named Roland.

I bought a house with the original HVAC units, Travis gave me options when I was in a crisis and saved me $$$. He maintained my dying air conditioner until I could afford a new more efficient unit and the install went seamlessly. Fast forward four years I came home one night to no AC blowing. I called Travis Heating and Air and left a message. I received a text within 20 minutes and was able to schedule service. Travis came out first thing in the morning, resolved my issue immediately and performed a complete system check. His prices are most reasonable and he didn’t try to up sell me on anything unnecessary. This is by far one of the most responsive, honest and reliable contractors I’ve done business with. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

During a heatwave I called 4 small hvac companys on a Friday night, and they all had answering machines. Travis had a person answer the phone . She sent the message to their tech, who called me back in 5 mins. We made the appt for the following day, and he showed up on time. He told me I had a bad circuit breaker.
If that was one of those big companys they would have tried to sell me a new system .
The other 3 small companys never called back .

We called Travis Heating and Air to come out and check our heating system. The technician explained everything and checked our system out. He also explained about the defrost system, emergency heat setting etc. Very pleasant we will have them service oiur system before the hot Summer months. Thanks

Our AC stopped working, so of course, you think the worst and worry how expensive repairs will be. Travis Heating and Cooling was quick to come out, friendly, they were experienced, and only recommended what we needed, not some huge expensive upsell. Will definitely call them in the future!

Someone recommended them to us and we were very happy with them. They came out to inspect our AC and fit us in quickly, got us taken care of. They were very accommodating. I’d definitely use them again.

Cameron came out, was quick did a great job and gave us a great price (especially considering it’s on July 4th) AC wasn’t working and now it’s cooling off. Was very honest and upfront about everything , didn’t push anything we didn’t need. Recommend this company completely.

My AC went out on July 4th weekend. Travis came out the next day and by Tuesday it was repaired.

I was very confused as to whether or not I should replace the entire unit or just the evaporator coil. Travis was VERY helpful and took time explaining the pros and cons.

I am very impressed with the quick service and the fact that I got a call almost right away. The guys were professional and nice.

And once the AC was installed, I got a follow up call and a week later a courtesy call to see if everything was still working okay!

I highly recommend Travis Heating and Cooling. I will definitely use them for maintenance and I have already given referrals.

I support locally owned small businesses and have worked with Travis for several years with the maintenance of my aging HVAC and its replacement when it became necessary. I have always received excellent service and I wouldn’t think of calling anyone else.

James at Travis H & A is very knowledgeable, quick and thorough with proper diagnosis and fix for HVAC equipment. His well equipped truck already had a new fan motor on it which saved time and money. This is a VERY TRUSTWORTHY HVAC company to work with!

HVAC was on it's way out and had about four quotes from big and small companies. Travis is a local company here in Huntersville and I had dealt with him years ago just for some service work. Decided to get back in touch with him and I am so glad I did! Came in less expensive than anyone else and he installed better equipment also. He took care of some other things I needed to make the whole system more efficient for minimal cost because he was already there. Did not try to upsell and just wanted to make sure I was happy.
