Excellent service and communication for AC repair. Best of all, they charge normal price, compared to some other AC repair companies that will rip you off by charging you 2~3 times the national average.

Forrest from Romanoff installed a Nest thermostat in our new home on Tuesday. It required fishing wire from one floor to another. He did a great job with minimal drywall patching needed. Recommend them/him highly.

Already have to replace one of my outdoor air conditioners. It failed just outside of the warranty window. Based on other reviews this seems to be a trend. If you move into a new home and see them listed as your installer, expect to pay for their incompetence down the road.

Had a great conversation with Ian Ramsey, he is very knowledgeable in his field of expertise.

Staff is incompetent & rude. My home is in Lennar Kits creek Classic built 2 months back. Since day 1 HAVC has issues bothering. It took 4 visits to figure out the problem, First floor sheet rock had to be cut at 4 places to figure out that HAVC line is squished, still there is gushing air in living room and rest of the rooms are hot, as my wife insisted on reason for the problem while relatively comparing our previous home, Roman off person response question is "why did you move here ?", Not sure if this is recklessness or gender discrimination , Still Problem is not solved.

If garbage was a review that's what I'd leave. Lost money and pay to be home for their repair and they don't show or call. Not the first time either. DO NOT RECOMMEND ROMANOFF IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND IM A REALTOR WHO WILL GLADLY SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYREALTOR, BUILDER nd CLIENTI HAVE!!

We used Romanoff to do the HVAC and electrical for our basement finishing project. I thought they were very easy and reasonable to work with. Jason was out contact on site and he made sure everything on the HVAC side was done correctly for the right price.

Avoid like the plague. Installed my system in March 2018 with the builder Lennar. In January 2019 it was making a horrible noise. They came out and fixed it. Had to replace a bunch of parts. In May 2019 I asked them if they would stand behind the repair they did a few months earlier and was promptly told NO!

Our home builder used Romanoff to install our HVAC system. 1.5 years later we’re having to pay out of pocket for it leaking because it wasn’t installed right. Based on their current rating, we’ve decided to not even attempt to have them correct their poor workmanship.

This is the snootiness most hateful group of idiots I have ever tried to deal with. Our unit is still under warranty for parts but not labor. They basically just said to find someone else to fix the unit even though they installed it. Yep, they do not stand by their work. Do not make the mistake of using them to do your AC work.

I have reached out numerous times about my unit that has been leaking and causing damage for the last three months. It was confirmed the unit was installed incorrectly. My leak has now turned into a solid run even in cooler temperatures. I need follow up ASAP and I have water damage and no installed drip pan due to the faulty install.

Their work ethic is terrible. Their customer service folks are rude and do not have the 3 courtesy to hear you out. Terrible folks and I would definitely not recommend anybody to work with this company.

I have called recently for yearly maintenance, they charged $200 and supposed to check the liquid gas freon and drip guard, the guys came and said everything looks fine, that time we had a cold weather so he checked heating but after few days the weather changed now its hot weather in NC and we turned on AC and we got water leak . Their service is horrible, they do not know what to check and how to provide service. Their technicians are uneducated and liar.
The technician left and we have heat pump unit so he didn't even check whether the controller closing air for the 2nd floor when the 1st floor is running. After he left 2nd floor vents weren't closing so i called him back and told me that the controller is bad. I am surprised that how come he checked everything and said everything is good.
I would not call them again, they have ethical issue, not reliable. They team up with lennar and installed wrong systems in Lennar homes and incorrect size units with less vents. -
Installed the HVAC in our new home. Moved in 03/15 and heat stopped working first month twice. First time AC was turned on it did not work. Right after builder warranty of 1 year had problems with the AC, called for service twice and could not even get a call back. Called another company, 72 degrees, response within minutes and tech showed up in a few hours. Problem was with the installation, installed the wrong amp breakers for the unit installed.....poor install and poor customer service (after warranty). I will never call these guys again.

Alex came to service our tankless water heater (Apex,NC) and even though he was not sent with with materials, instead of letting it go another day he found a way to get the materials and fix all the same day. This was a new build warrantee call to fix another contractors mistake. Because of Alex we had hot water again. He was professional and very polite.

I had a great experience with Romanoff analyzing and installing a new HVAC system that exceeds my expectations. They removed the old system and replaced it with a new high performing system in less than 8 hours. The new system works great as the old same size system just never cooled my home adequately. The new system is quiet and runs very little to cool my house. Really great performance. Romanoff is very easy to work with and delivers results. My neighbor with a similar sized home spent 2 X what I spent, had many performance problems and took 8 weeks to get his new HVAC system to operate correctly. Romanoff stands behind their work and are very responsive. I recommend including Romanoff on all HVAC requirements as they are great to work with and deliver on time and on budget.

Brand new Lennar home (2021). Romanoff was the heating/cooling subcontractor. Since moving in: 2 AC repairs, 3 furnace repairs, tried getting Romanoff but they didn’t respond. Lennar said “too bad - warranty ended”. Home inspection found 3 key installation errors (1 a code violation).
Conclusion: Avoid Lennar and Romanoff, find a reputable and reliable HVAC service company -
Fast service and friendly, competent technicians. They identified the problem with our builder-installed unit (by a different HVAC company), and replaced parts so unit is now working better than new. Even our electric bills are less than before. Have recommended them to friends and family.

My HVAC unit is not the adequate size of my square footage and has led to constant running and now leakage. The unit was not installed like those having the same floor plan in the same neighborhood. Additionally, a drip pan was not installed and the unit is upside down as compared to others. I have a young child in my home and there is no reason why our air is set at 68 and it is 80 degrees in the home. I was informed during the Diagnostic visit that I would be contacted by a manager that day and that I would receive the information regarding the necessary repairs for the HVAC unit. Romanoff came Friday (7/24/20) and has since been non-responsive after saying "Uh Oh" after viewing the installed unit (with the exception of collecting payment).

Ridiculous experience...they dont start unloading until 10am...they slow as heck...even tho its convenient close 2 home ...never coming back

Romanoff had installed our Lenar Heating and cooling system. When we did a our one year inspection our inspector discovered that we had a gas leak. We had been living in the house for a year without knowing the danger not only of a possible fire or explosion but damage to our health. Romanoff came to fix the gas leak and said that some pipes had been connected wrong and they had to switch them to fix the problem. This was during the winter when the heating was on. When we turned our cooling system we discovered that we had a leak an the pan in the attic was full of water. This time we did not want to call Romanoff back and called another company who said that some pipes had been switched and connected wrong. We hope that when the heating is on again we do not encounter other issues. A year old equipment and $200 cost of repair.
