I really appreciated the professional, informational interaction I had with my plumber. He provided several options and provided estimates on future work. In what was a bad homeowner situation I had a good outcome. I will continue to use Zins for all mu pluming needs.

Zins repaired an old stack that had cracked and created a leak throughout my kitchen and basement. Kevin and Kevin were both extremely helpful and responsive, and actually completed the job in half the time (and cost) that had been originally quoted. I would highly recommend their services.

Zins is fantastic and the only plumber we allow to touch our home. They know older homes and are responsive and reasonably priced. Tom got our only tub draining after we tried for an entire day. Thank you Zins and Tom.

I have to say after the experience I had with Zin’s plumbing Friday, I am nothing short of DISAPPOINTED. My husband and I have been dealing with a very slow laundry drain and kitchen drain for quite some time. A few days ago, we decided to investigate the sewer vents on the roof after smelling sewer gas in the laundry tray and seeing air bubbles. Sure enough the drain vent on the roof directly above the laundry tray was clogged. We tried to clear it ourselves to no avail. It was time to call a plumber. On recommendations and reviews, I called Zins and explained to the receptionist the problem and specifically mentioned that the plumber would have to go on the roof (it had snowed a couple days before and I even said that we could wait till snow melted a day later). When the plumber arrived, he said that they didn’t go on roofs that it was company policy, a liability issue. He thought that he may be able to fix the problem without going on the roof. So instead of auguring the vent that was causing problems, he augured the kitchen sink vent, which was on the edge, so that he wouldn’t have to get on the roof. Long story short, $200 later, it didn’t fix the problem. The plumber insisted that the problem was under our slab and he couldn’t do any more. He was very nice, and very well may be right, but he didn’t even look at the roof vent that we knew to be blocked. Ultimately, when I called the receptionist should have told me that their plumbers did not go on roofs because I specifically said that was what I needed. If their plumber would have just made an attempt to inspect the pipe that was causing the problem, I would have felt better about spending $200 and not resolving the issue, but the fact that he and the receptionist did not listen to my request (which was to have roof vent over laundry tray drain looked at) and sent someone anyway was disappointing and wrong. I would not call them again. They didn’t listen.

We had a 12 unit apartment building that needed all new gas piping. Kevin at Zins Plumbing came out within one hour to give us a quote and an estimate on when the job would be done. Once I confirmed, Zins showed up exactly when they said and did the massive job exactly as specified. I will definitely call them again for projects big or small.

We have used Zins many times, at multiple homes, for many different things....from just a basic fix to a complete stormwater sewer line replacement that involved a lot of digging and jackhammering. All the plumbers have been timely, courteous, expedient, clean, fairly and competitively priced, professional and most importantly they know what they’re doing. Our entire family uses their services and we’re all thoroughly pleased. Thanks for coming out today, thanks for all the times over the past 10 or 15 years, and we’ll look forward to having them back....just hopefully no time soon!!!

After calling Another company who tried to charge me $90 for an outrageous estimate claiming it would be a 4 hour job. I called Zins. Their price was a third of the others, they were honest about cost of materials and there were no additional fees. Kevin hooked up my gas stove in about an hour and was professional about my mess of a situation. I will definitely use Zins for all my future plumbing.

Brandon came out for a leak on the main line, very courteous and polite, answered all of my questions. Prices are fair and I highly recommend them, I will be using them again.

KUDOS to Ron Zin. Ron, the owner and head plumber came to my house on a Saturday, at literally a moment's notice, and resolved a difficult sewer clean-out challange that I had had been struggling to fix myself for hours, with a rented auger (it's a stinky job). Ron knew just what to do, and got it fixed within 30-40 minutes. Not only is Ron a resposive and highly skilled plumber, he's a super nice and friendly guy. He even helped me move my rental equipment back upstairs to my car, then he threw in a free canister of emzyme treatment to prevent the blockage problem from happening again. THANK YOU RON ZIN: I love the way you do business!

We have used Zins before, and been satisfied, but on Monday or Tuesday of this week we scheduled them to give us an estimate. (Note that estimates are not free. We were paying for their estimate.) They scheduled to come to our house at 8:30 in the morning on Saturday. Come Saturday morning at 8:20, I got a call asking if we still wanted the estimate. That's weird, but I said yes, we still wanted the estimate. The person on the phone said they'd call when the plumber was on the way, but she didn't know when that would be. Flash-forward to about 11am, and we're ready to start our day. We called and had to cancel. No apologies, no anything - just short responses over the phone. We were looking to book a couple thousand dollars worth of work (install a tankless water heater, a toilet, a gas line to a fireplace, and more, etc.). I feel like we deserved better than the treatment we got.

My mom had Zins plumbing out to her house over the holidays to fix a backed up drain. It was great they could come out and resolve the issue within one day, in the holiday season. They stayed for hours until the problem was resolved. They also cleaned up and sanitized the area, which she appreciated. We are grateful for their services.

Its hard to trust contractors with so many big name companies trying to get rich on homeowners. Zins has earned our trust. They are willing to quote approaches that other companies won't to fix our 120 year old home plumbing woes and have consistently executed at it below budget. Good, trustworthy and talented people.

After moving into a new house, we immediately had several plumbing issues. Zin's came recommended to me by my real estate agent (one of the best in the city, so I definitely trust her recommendations for stuff like this). So far I have been dealing with Mike on site and Holly over the phone... Both have been incredibly delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful in getting my situation figured out. I had taken a while to follow up on some things, but Mike took a moment out of his own day to check up on me and see if there was anything else I needed for them to do, or if I needed any other support with my issues... I feel like follow-up calls like this are almost non-existent these days and I really appreciated the detailed service. Will be calling them again in the future for sure.

I really wanted to give this company a try, but they have proven to be completely unreliable. They'll badger with text messages to make sure you're available at the appointed time, but then want to show up an hour late. If you are a stay at home with flexibility, I'm sure they are great, but those of us who have to work can't live with this.

I contacted Zins to see if they serviced in my area, unfortunately they did not. But instead of that being the end of the phone call, they recommended a company in my area. I was able to have my plumbing issue resolved within three hours! I definitely will recommend them to friends and family for their great customer service alone.

I had to replace my stack leading from my second story bathroom, the project was estimated to last 3-3-1/2 days. The project was completed in 3. Every person I spoke to at Zin's was professional, competent and an absolute pleasure to work with. I am most certainly a life long customer now.

Looks like I'm not the only one to experience an impatient and aggressive driver of a Zins truck. Hey, maybe they're in a hurry to fix your issues!

I had a main drain backup in my home. They sent out Keith and he was amazing. Very pleasant and professional. He took him time to clear the line and make sure we had no more issues. He was very patient and explained how everything worked, I like to know those things. This company and Keith made the experience a great one. I would recommend them to anyone.

We were once very pleased with Zin’s as we had one plumber out to our house last year who was very knowledgeable and friendly.

However, that was not the case this time. Unfortunately we were out of the country when our backed up system occurred and called them. They fit us in the schedule but in talking to the plumber in the short time I had before I had to board another flight he was very rude and unable to effectively communicate the problem. I then called the office as I did not have his phone number in an attempt to understand what was going on. I then called him back and he said all was fixed for now but arriving home water was coming out of the stack pipe when the toilet he said we could use was flushed. So we paid $350 to have nothing done except for saying I think there are roots in your pipes.

As time went on, he was frustrated that I called the office. Our sitter then told us he began badmouthing us in front of our children. This I find very unprofessional.

Very disappointed as I loved our last plumber Ed from Zins, but this current one makes me very wary to use Zins again.

I recently purchased a home and had Zins come out for some plumbing work. I am so glad I chose Zins and I will go to them for any future plumbing needs. Prices are better then other companies and they dont try an upsale you things that are not needed. Jim W. was was able to move our hot water heater for some basement work and installed a water line to our fridge that was being delivered but not yet there yet. Once the fridge was delivered, he came back and hooked the line to the fridge. We now have cold water and ice. Jim did quality work and provided education about our home plumbling. Zins is lucky to have an experienced plumber like Jim on board, and I feel lucky to have found this company.

Jim was very kind and came to assess the job. The whole crew that came out to do the job were kind, informative, and professional. They diagnosed an issue with my main shower that others could not detect and I have been able to use my shower with the drain repair without issue 🙏. They also repiped my basement plumbing quickly and efficiently. Would 110%recommend!
