Very pleased with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. A appointment was scheduled the same morning I called. Other companies had a three day waiting list due to the holiday weekend. My technician Giovanni was very professional and friendly. He explained what needed to be done and gave me an estimate before beginning work. If I ever need plumbing services again I will definitely call Roto-Rooter and ask for Giovanni to be my technician.

After my drains backed up in my finished basement I called the emergency line. After 4 days and 3 appointments later they decided to show up. I payed 500$ for about 45 minutes of work to clear the drain pipe.
It’s been several days and I suspect I will not see or hear from the tech who is supposed to run the camera through the pipe after it was cleared.
I will never use this company again and couldn’t recommend more for others to find any other company to do business with.

I had unexpected Sewage coming up from an abandoned downspout hole that someone years ago attempted to repair with a concrete patch. It was a mess I was experiencing so much anxiety. I called Roto Rooter out to get an estimate for my insurance but I couldn't explain the situation well enough so Ben came back out and scoped the line and wrote up an estimate. State Farm my insurance company did not add the line coverage so I ended up working with Ben to resolve my anxiety and he was so professional and so understanding he went above and beyond to take care of everything I had to have another drain unclothed today and he sent out Jonathan, and again above and beyond. This service was initially an emergency and this company was A+ 100% effective the entire time. I'm sure I was a bit annoying to these professionals due the stress and anxiety but these guys stayed professional and courteous. Thanks for working this through to the end. Ben thanks so much! And thank Jonathan for going the extra mile.

I used Roto-Rooter to install a new toilet and a new water heater. I was very pleased with the entire service experience. From the cost estimate to the installation to clean up, my service technician, Matthew, was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made sure I was informed every step of the way. I am a very satisfied customer!

The service provided was excellent! Warren was very helpful and communicative. The process of getting a new garbage disposal was quick and efficient. He was attentive to all the questions I had and made sure that the new disposal worked before leaving. The price was better than I expected. Thank you to Warren and Roto Rooter for providing a painless and great experience.

Matt detected the leak in the hall bath toiket tank which had caused the collapse of the powder room ceiling downstairs. He recommended an efficient toilet for replacement. After I got the new toilet, he installed it, checked everything. It works well and most importantly "no leaks". Matt is a great professional, prompt, reliable and respectful. He gave me a lot of tips. And I will be signing up for the annual inspection of all plumbing related appliances.

Russell did amazing! Water heater went out Wednesday night, he came in Thursday morning and had it completely replaced by afternoon with a new one plus all the bits and parts.

The technician was knowledgeable. He was friendly and fixed the problem without any issues. He was considerate in the cleanup process in making sure everything was put back. My only issue was price — it was a little high — but that is out of the control of the technician.

Brian and Zach were incredible! I had a major leak in my house and they were quick, professional, and highly communicative on what was happening. For something that what a massive issues, they made me feel comfortable and confident in the repair!

Those two will be my first AND only call for any plumbing issue going forward.

Had a main sewer back up on the weekend. Kameron came out late saturday night. Figured out the problem and had to put in for another service. Danny showed up Sunday morning and fixed the problem in no time. Very pleased with all aspects of the service. Danny and Kameron were both friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend their services!

Warren was very professional, explained the process and cost. Additionally, he provided a senior discount that I didn't know about. He explained the six-month warranty and some other important details. He made sure our drain was working perfectly before leaving. Warren did a great job, kept everything clean, and was a pleasure speaking with him.

Was not super thrilled with how the initial plumbing service, on friday 11-28-2025, worked out. The main issue, a busted shower knob, was not fully repaired, it’s an old shower and there was now way to get the parts. Understandable. Shut-offs were installed to get water back into the rest is the house. Worked out fine. For the rest of the weekend. A leak began gushing out of the recent quick fix to my main issue. Had to shut off my water again. Called back, said someone would be over early on 11-02-2025. The new technician, Jake fixed the issue and had a good attitude.

Darren was great. He came to our house the day before Thanksgiving when our sump pump stopped working. He returned first thing Friday morning (parts weren’t available until then) to replace the sump pump. We replaced a Zoeller sump pump and back up battery unit (not including the battery). He came first thing Friday morning once he was able to purchase the unit for us. He was here and finished within an hour and a half. When he left everything was cleaned up and ready to go. Highly recommended!

The Technician, Antoine, showed up in a timely manner and was very professional in his work. I would highly recommend to anyone with residential plumbing issues. Antoine provides several solutions and ideas to fix the plumbing problem which I was appreciative of. Thank you again.

My mother found herself without water and the city didn’t give her a clear answer. We called Roto rooter to set up an emergency visit on a Friday evening and they rescheduled it to Saturday between 1-3pm. About 3:45pm they still hadn’t showed so we called back dispatch and they apologized and said their local dispatch would need to call her back. They called back and hung up for some reason. They never followed up or sent someone out so we wrote them off. Poor ability to sympathize with customers in need. She’s a senior citizen with a sick husband and is caring for two young grandchildren. Needless to say, we chose a different company.

DON'T BOTHER CONTACTING THESE FOLKS -- CALL A LOCAL PLUMBER!

Roto-Rooter has been corporatized, so you never talk to the local plumbers, and the corporate telephone operators make promises they can't keep.

I had a sewer backup just as a severe cold spell was approaching. During cold spells, I need to keep the faucets dripping to prevent pipes from freezing in my 125-year-old house. I can't do that when the sewer is backing up.

A "supervisor" showed up within 80 minutes of my call, saying the plumbers were about an hour behind. Over 20 hours, I received 4 texts and made 2 phone calls, each saying I was next in line. We had heavy snow overnight, and 15 minutes after their last "you are next in line" message, they called to say they weren't coming. Granted, a snow emergency was declared about 18 hours after my first call to Roto-Rooter, so yes, it was a real snow. However, snow did not significantly accumulate for 12-14 hours after the first call—well after their initial promises to arrive.

So this 67-year-old Professor Emeritus got in his car after the snow accumulation, drove to a big box store, bought an $800 motorized auger, hauled the thing to the basement, read the instructions, and cleared the drain. I called Roto-Rooter back and told them not to bother coming and to cancel the call.

Roto-Rooter is no longer controlled by your local plumbers—it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chemed Corp. (CEO Kevin McNamara, 2024 pay: $12,688,480).

Do yourself a favor—call a local plumbing company. They are much less likely to lie to you.

Had a plumbing.issue over holiday weekend. Andy arrived and promptly fixed the problem. Telephone receptionist directed me to a coupon I could use (online) which saved me $55. Andy was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend Roto -Rooter.
