HVAC reviews in Columbus, Ohio

I was very pleased with Chuck and his team with Logan services. They installed a new furnace for us just days before the big snow/ice storm in January. Chuck was very professional and did a great job with the install and clean up. Logan Services was very accommodating with any changes we wanted to make and they had many options to help us stay within our budget. We have no complaints and would definitely call on them again!

Both techs were friendly, on time, and courteous. When there was one small issue, they informed me about it, said they were running back to the shop to get the correct part, returned, and finished the install. New system works great and is worth the price for the quality products and workmanship.

Lachlan, Craig, and the apprentice did a great job installing. They were very professional and informative. They also were very efficient. Showed up early and finished the job in a good time. The new equipment is definitely a major upgrade and I can already tell the difference. Highly recommended.

Logan Services got me out of the cold. The techs notified me and arrived on time. They introduced themselves explained what they would be doing, put on shoe covers and got to work. My heat pump was replaced by Austyn, Deavin and Dustin. All three of the guys were professional, courteous and respectful. They did a great job explaining and walking me through all the information for the new equipment. They assisted me with getting my new thermostat on my WiFi and phone. Once all of the work was completed they cleaned up and removed all of the old equipment. I am more than pleased with the services I received.

I usually do extensive due diligence when it comes to major home services like HVAC, typically getting multiple quotes and researching every variable. I feel incredibly lucky that we chose Logan first. Since they are one of the few entirely family-owned operations in town, the level of care is on another level.
Brian handled our inspection and was fantastic. He didn’t have an "agenda"; he simply educated us further on what we’d already researched and helped us explore the best options for our home. When it came time for the installation, Rick and Willie were absolute pros on every level—thorough, personable, and detailed in their walkthrough of the new system. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but the team at Logan truly impressed me. Highly recommend. -
The AC went out on a sweltering July day, but Fire & Ice sent someone over right away - Technician Mike was fantastic, explaining everything in detail and answering all my questions. The problem turned out to be a communication issue between my systems, which he easily fixed. I'm extremely happy with the service.
When it's time for my furnace maintenance check, scheduled every year as part of my plan, Fire & Ice sends Carlos Martinez again, who knows his stuff - both my brand and the job. He's been great both times this year, a rare find in an industry where service can be hit or miss. I'm glad to have them on speed dial, highly recommend their business. -
This customer had a positive experience with the home services business. The technician was pleasant and animal-friendly, quickly gaining my dog's trust. When I asked questions, he provided clear explanations. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and suggested additional services without being pushy. Overall, he's a great asset to their team.

Alex fixed my family's AC unit flawlessly - he was spot on with his diagnosis, explained everything clearly, and provided top-notch advice on maintenance. Not only did the repair get done quickly, but we haven't had any issues since then. Alex has a great work ethic and genuinely cares about his customers. I'd definitely call him back if we ever need anything else.

Here's the rewritten review:
They didn't show up twice. The initial appointment was rescheduled due to their scheduling issues. They called around the scheduled time, asking me to reschedule again.
Things happen, and so did this. I waited for the next appointment, but they never showed. A text from a technician arrived, but he never followed through.
I'd communicated with someone via email and multiple phone calls trying to get an initial schedule in place. It's hard to imagine running a business without proper organization.
Their HVAC skills are unknown to me. -
I scheduled an appointment for a furnace replacement between 2-4 pm, adjusting my work schedule accordingly. When I called at 4:10 pm to inquire about the whereabouts of my technician, I was told that their early morning jobs ran longer than expected and the scheduling lady would escalate the issue to a manager. Unfortunately, no such call came, and instead, I received a call from the tech himself at 4:45 pm, asking if he should still come over to give me an estimate. Given his delayed arrival by another 40 minutes, it's unsettling to think how this company might handle a problem with equipment they installed.

It took some time for Gabriel Ramos to identify the issue with my furnace during his maintenance inspection, but once he did, he was thorough in explaining the parts that needed replacing and why. He was extremely polite and walked me through my options, including his own opinion. As a long-time customer of Fire and Ice, I've always appreciated their honest service, which has been consistently reliable over 14 years.

This company's customer service is abysmal. When we reached out for a quote on duct cleaning, they insisted that someone come to our home to assess the system. We agreed to this and my husband took time off work to be there. However, 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment, we received a text canceling the visit and informing us that rescheduling wouldn't be possible for another month. When I called back, the representative was dismissive, barely listening to my concerns and providing no explanation. They refused to pass me along to a manager and made it seem like this was no big deal. The behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Be wary of Fire & Ice's warranties. They installed my Trane system in 2020, but somehow missed registering the 10-year warranty. I only found out when the unit failed this year. Despite discovering the issue, they initially demanded payment for a repair, which they then completed - albeit with a hefty $1,000 price tag. However, after fixing the heat, they've been radio silent for three weeks about the warranty or any other updates. Trane Corporate has confirmed in writing that Fire & Ice missed the 60-day window and refused to override it. If you need a company that takes responsibility for their errors and keeps customers informed, look elsewhere.

Our experience with Fire & Ice was the standout among many services we hired for our home. They were incredibly professional and communicative. The quality of their work was exceptional, with a focus on meticulous details that went above and beyond what we expected. We're extremely pleased with everything.

Carlos, Eric, and Stephen quickly fitted out a replacement system for me and had it up and running in no time. They showed great professionalism and courtesy throughout the process. The result is superb, with a fantastic job done. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my new system and the service provided by Fire & Ice.

Kai and Gene delivered top-notch service, working efficiently with minimal disruption. They left the site spotless and ensured all work was completed to satisfaction. Their professionalism is unparalleled – I highly recommend them for any future projects.

We've consistently had good experiences with their technicians, but there's a significant issue with communication and management that needs attention.
After scheduling a service after a routine maintenance appointment, we tried to get an update on the technician's arrival time. However, we were repeatedly told different wait times without any real clarity on when they'd arrive. We waited for six hours before calling back, only to be reassured that our spot had changed again and the technician was still stuck at another stop.
The administrative staff acknowledged that communication within the company is a problem, citing an example of a previously rescheduled plumbing appointment that hadn't been correctly rescheduled. They also mentioned that a 10am-12pm time slot for our service didn't appear on their schedules until it came up, highlighting the lack of clear information.
When the technician finally arrived, he was apologetic and explained that the low temperature made it impossible to perform the service. He'd tried calling on his way but only had my spouse's number, which seemed unusual given we both receive their text messages. The technician also commented on the poor communication at the company, saying they couldn't see our appointment details until it appeared on their schedule.
After arriving at our destination, I called to request a refund and cancel our upcoming plumbing appointment. The administrator said she needed management approval for refunds but took care of everything else quickly. However, the manager was in a meeting and promised to call me back when they were done – it's now 9pm and still no call.
I'm extremely disappointed with the experience and will be avoiding this company in the future. There are plenty of other options available. I'll try to get a refund or work with them again, but it's going to be hard to trust their communication.
Update: Since we didn't hear back from anyone, I called in late the next business day. Again, each staff member I spoke with was great, and I received a full refund. Still, it'll be challenging to work with this company again due to the ongoing issues with communication and management. -
My interaction with Michael Moore was spot on today. He showed up right on time, looked super professional, and was extremely courteous. The moment he arrived, he took care of business by covering his boots with booties - that set a great tone for the visit. Our conversation during the thermostat install was top-notch; he explained what he was doing as he went along, making me feel at ease. Thanks for a smooth experience, Michael - you really made an impression 😎

I'm thoroughly satisfied with the work done by Gabriel Ramos from Fire and Ice. He took his time to present viable solutions, showcasing top-notch professionalism. I wholeheartedly endorse this team for all your heating and cooling needs.
Update - I received an estimate two weeks ago and had to visit their office to set up a schedule, as no one called me. I booked Friday with the expectation that someone would arrive between 12-2. They showed up at 5:45 with the wrong part, then quoted a different part and left to retrieve it. After an hour, Gabriel returned, seeking to increase my fee by $200 for the correct part. Given I'd signed up for their mid-tier service plan, this experience left me stunned at how far companies will go to take advantage of customers after signing on. -
I'm thoroughly impressed with Young's work. He repaired our furnace with exceptional care, showcasing kindness, a positive demeanor, extensive expertise, and a strong commitment to his job. What set him apart was his patience in explaining the process and ensuring I understood the issues and solutions. The extra effort to replace parts that needed it further demonstrated his dedication. His thoroughness is truly appreciated.

This guy is top-notch, hands down the best - I've dealt with other companies before who just try to sell you something on the spot, like some snake oil salesman. Mike comes out and tells it like it is, no fluff, just straight answers about what's really going on with your heating system. If you need HVAC work done, start here first, trust me.
