I called around 3p and the plumber agreed to come right away so I wasn't paying overtime. He arrived as promised and repaired my basement toilet which had broken and spraying water. He was very kind and knowledgeable. I feel with parts and time the cost was fair. I would call them again. I have a plumber!!!!

I bought a maintenance plan for my home. It’s includes two inspections and a water heater flush! They came today and were professional, friendly and efficient. Explained what they did and gave me tips on making my system work more efficiently (replace filters bi-monthly). Highly recommend them for service and sales! Talk to Justin!

Update: After talking with Grace from Tom Schaefer, I am much more satisfied. She sent a new crew out that ran a camera and did their best to determine the cause of our issues. I appreciate her willingness to reach out and when Chuck came out to run a camera, he was very informative and helpful. He also followed up a couple days later to see how things are. I would hire again.

I will never use them again. I had them out and asked for them to run a camera in the line since soap would come up out of the drain when doing laundry but never water. Our upstairs toilets also pull water from each other when flushed. Instead they snaked the floor drain because they thought that was needed. Charged me $377. It didn’t help. Then told me they need to run a camera and told me it is $100 for the camera, $165 an hour for the plumber and $125 for the second plumber since they usually have 2 plumbers for the camera. They are not getting another $400 from me. I’m looking for someone else.

Andy did a great job installing a new garbage disposal in our kitchen sink. He left everything under the old broken & leaking disposal neat and clean. We also appreciated his good advice about how to care for our new disposal in the future.

Someone asked on Facebook for a plumber recommendation, and I realized I never posted my review which is unfair because of how amazing the service was, so I'm posting what I wrote to that person:

Tom Schaefer Plumbing has my business for life. My condo had several other plumbers out multiple times for hours on end and couldn't find or fix the problem. When Schaefer came out they were there less than 5 minutes before they diagnosed the cause of the leak and had it fixed before they left. To me when it comes to leaks and potential catastrophic damage, there is no single other factor that matters but the knowledge and skills of the plumbers. Like I said, I'm in a condo, so I don't know the cost, but whatever it was, it was 100% worth it.

Tom installed a new gas line for my fire pit. He was punctual, friendly, and did an outstanding job! I was charged exactly what I was quoted, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I highly recommend Tom and look forward to hiring him for any future plumbing or heating needs.

They return calls, show up on time, and fix the problems. Our whole extended family in Lake County continues to use Tom S Co. for furnaces, plumbing, ac, and today when it was 5 below zero - our furnace. Quality work, dependability, and fair prices.

Brandon was very nice, went right to the job. He explained what he was doing and had to go to the supply place to get a part to fix the bathroom sink. Respectful and pleasant. Reasonable cost. If I need a plumber again, I will definitely call Tom Schaefer.
