Plumbing reviews in Edmond, Oklahoma

If you are a Home Warranty customer that was matched to Plumb Genius for your repairs, cancel and find a better plumbing company. The office staff seemed irritated to be answering the phone anytime I called. After 8 days without water to our home, our hot water tank was finally installed only to have the plumber leave before checking his work. We had no hot water. The next morning, another rude office person told me they were going to “send someone out to turn a little knob and get me hot water.” I let her know we didn’t have “a little knob” and that I was yet again missing work due to their plumber not checking his work. Not one apology from anyone I spoke to. I asked four times to have an email sent with the itemized items I paid out of pocket for and never received it.

My water heater died on us and we decided to upgrade to a tankless. Plumb Genius did a great job, they were competent, efficient and respectful of our property. Three small things that I really appreciate:
1) They provided a detailed quote and we knew exactly what were were going to pay
2) The communication was fantastic, we were in constant contact and they were flexible with our schedules. This is a big deal for me.
3) They explained everything thing and took care of the inspection requirement all we had to do is be available. I appreciate great service I will definitely use Plumb Genius the next time I have a plumbing issue.....hopefully no time soon though -
We had a hot water heater put in about a week ago. We have the AHS Warranty (which is a joke) and then we were charged 1323.00 out of pocket to bring to code. When you pay with credit card they charge you an additional 3.5% which came up to 46.30! The service was good except once the HWT was in they couldn't get it lit and had to take apart a piece and put it back together. I wouldn't think you should have to do that with a new tank.

I had water heater issues, Plumb Genius was phoned they were out within a day. Justin came out on time, completed the job in a timely and professional manner. I will use them again.

Water heater finally went out. Called our warranty company and this is who they are in contract with. It took about 2 weeks to finally get our new heater installed. They did cancel on us twice. To pay I asked if they would call so I could authorize the payment since I do have a limit with my bank. I hadn’t heard from them for a few days but when I went to check my account there is a transaction for a payment in there sending my account into overdraft. The work was excellent, the plumber was knowledgeable, however I think they need to work on their customer service

Josh and Chris with Plumb Genius took care of the issue with my outside faucet. The work was completed in less than an hour, looks great, and no more leaks. Chris was nice and friendly, and Josh was very knowledgeable, careful, and explained each step of his work
-
Josh was timely, professional, and fixed the problem quickly and accurately! He was very easy to communicate with, and he explained everything clearly. He was courteous and respectful of our property, and patient with our overly-friendly dogs. We really appreciated his candor and we hope we can request him personally if we have another need for a plumber in the future!
Full disclosure; we did have an experience with Plumb Genius back in 2012 that was NOT 5 star. The technician was rude, and he tried to tell us we had all this unnecessary work to be done that would not be covered by our home warranty. It would have cost us thousands if our realtor didn't step in and insist that American Home Shield send out a different company. Before today, I would have given Plumb Genius 1 star, and I would be done that begrudgingly because I can't give zero stars. Do yourself a favor... If you need to use Plumb Genius, ask for Josh K. specifically.
Edit: Just an update... It took 3 visits (2 after my initial review) to get this leak fully fixed. The missed issues caused extensive damage in my kitchen below, and now we'll be spending a lot to get part of the kitchen ceiling replaced. I've updated my rating accordingly. -
I’m usually it one to criticize online. My family is in business for themselves and bad experiences can’t be judged on one instance. However, after this two and a half month debacle of terrible ownership , horrible plumbers and the worst office staff I have ever encountered, Amanda, yes I’m referring to you, I needed to say something to warn others. If I could give plumb genius a negative review I would. The office staff have poor attitudes and are unhelpful, plumbers aren’t commutative and the manager or owner whatever he calls himself is just as unhelpful. Our plumbing ordeal went on with sewer in our garage for 2 and a half months. The first time they jack hammered our garage and said oh this will fixed it and just run hot water and dawn dish soap down the drains to clear the line. It didn’t fix it and mind you to cost over $4000 then we move on to our 6 weeks of back and fourth. They said we can’t put a clean out in or find one. Another set of their plumbers came out l. This set finds the clean out said they would call me with a plan. No communication again so I had to call and the office manager again and I’m always so lucky to get the pleasure of speaking with uneducated rude Amanda. She literally asked me who came out and was they did. So I guess they send their plumbers out to houses without tracking them. Which is terrifying. They wanted to do another “fix” and I had to give them idea if rerouting the entire line. In the end I did in fact decide to have my entire line rerouted by another plumber who did a wonderful job. The communication was wonderful and the plumbing is great, immediate fix. Oh and they were able to put on 3 clean outs since plumb genius said one couldn’t be done… all and all I am so glad I spent my $15k with the other plumber and after reading the reviews below I am even more thankful I didn’t used them for this big of job Plumb genius stick to unclogging toilets but from below looks like that is a skill not possessed either by your team. The office staff is better at a fast food restaurant and probably more knowledgeable about plumbing.

We found a leak under our sink the night before Thanksgiving. We were pleasantly surprised we didn’t have to wait til the next week for repairs. Tim arrived at the scheduled appt time. He got to work immediately to correct our issue. He explained what had happened and made sure it was done correctly. He also replaced the inside mechanism for the toilet and it’s as good as new. I am extremely cautious of having companies in our home. So I have no reservations on recommending this company to others.

Got a $4,800 quote an hour later it was $7,200. They charged me $375 to run a camera. They got the camera stuck for an hour and a half. Never turned on the camera. Said I had a broken pipe because the camera got stuck. I have called several times trying to get a refund of the $375. One lady NEVER called me back. I called again and talked to a different lady. She said she would talk to the boss and get back to me. Whenever he comes in. This was on Wednesday. I'm hoping I hear something by next week.

My home warranty group sent them out for a leak I had in my living room. It took them almost 2 days to come out. When they did came out and located the leak they called my home warranty company. After speaking with them they left without repairing the leak. I called my home warranty group who informed me they wouldn’t fix the leak because the issue wasn’t covered based on what the tech told them. They also informed me Plum Genius said it would cost $3200 to fix it. I called a different plumber to come out for a second opinion. They informed me that what Plum Genius told my warranty group wasn’t accurate. The new plumber stated that Plum Genius gave my warranty group information so they wouldn’t have to pay to fix my leak. I Feel in my personal case that plum genius is more interested in keeping business with my home warranty group and then helping the customer. The new plumber also fixed the repair for $1500 less then what they quoted me. The new plumber I went with is very Reputable with more positive reviews on Google than Plum Genius. In addition to the problem with the tech and my quote, one of the ladies in the office (Marci I believe) was incredibly rude and not helpful at all.

I have used plum genius now, twice and both times have been an extraordinary experience. The staff for phone support are friendly and helpful, the plumbers genuinely care about doing a good job in your home and try their best to make it as cost-effective and easy on your pocket book as they can. I recommended
Them to all my friends and family and none have ever been disappointed. -
They came out to check for a gas leak. They said they needed to put a shut-off valve first before they could check where the leak was coming from. They charged us $725 which was way overpriced. Plus, we had to pay an additional $75 to AHS for the service call. Two other plumbers confirmed the price being to much for what they did.

Worst plumbing experience ever. This company lies and does not do what they say they will do.
They are extremely dishonest been trying to get a simple water leak in our front bathroom fixed for 30 days. Have had three technicians to my house.
Supposedly the first technician misdiagnosed the repair but I was told this after I had waited ten days for the parts he supposedly ordered to arrive.
When they did not show up to repair it, I was told that the technician had quit and was not with them any longer. So they sent a second technician out who said the first guy misdiagnosed the problem. And that it didn’t need parts ordered but that he didn’t have the right tools to fix it. So after waiting another week. I call and I speak to the GM Tony .
He tells me that he’s sorry, that it should have been a simple 30 min repair and apologizes for the delay and runaround and promises to send Helios best technician Chris out to do the repair. He shows up 2 hours late on Thursday. Leaves the repair halfway finished and says he needs a different tool and that he will be back later Thursday. He no showed and by Friday afternoon at three o’clock I called Plumb genius again. I was told that Chris was out sick but that Tony would call me back. Never heard from Tony. So I called him this morning (Monday) was told he’s not in the office but that they now needed to order the parts that the very first technician had said were needed for the repair. But amazingly they could not tell me when they were going to be out to do the repair. Because they did not have a time frame on the parts coming in. These are the same parts I was told were ordered by first technician that supposedly quit. As I said starting this. They are deceptive, and dishonest and provide horrible customer service. -
Plumb Genius is now trophy plumbing. Used a home warranty service and they came out for my leaking water heater and decided I need more things to get up to code (which was b.s) they charged 600.00 for a water modification and they didn't modify anything that was 600.00 worth. Maybe installed an 90 degree fitting, but for that amount, yeah, total rip-off. The total bill was around 900.00 dollars. When you think about it, a cash out which u could get from the warranty company would be about 450.00. Water heaters go for around 6-700 dollars. If you don't plan on selling your home, just get a new heater installed, and don't worry about getting up to code. In all, don't use these people. One technician was 90 days with company, and the other was a new hire. If that tells you anything. Also, trophy plumbing just bought Plumb Genius cause of bad service, and they are staying the course with treating customers like a wallet and not like Human beings.

I would give negative 5 stars if I could. Neither plumb, nor genius to be found. They came, "fixed" our water heater, which didn't make it 48 hours. We then initiate replacement through our home warranty.
Ask for an itemized estimate, if you dare, and it will be intentionally vague and riddled with charges that are inexplicable by their staff. I waited a full day for a call from a plumber to explain the items on the estimate and their alleged code violations. Never received a call.
As their supposed customer service representative said, "you can Google it" with regard to their alleged code violations. I did Google it and then got a second opinion. Turns out they coded the water heater to the wrong city, so the entire estimate was wrong. Still wondering what a $600 charge for "Water Modification" meant.
I call the home warranty company to initiate a correction of the incorrect estimate, and Plumb Genius' operations manager says the earliest they can call to correct the issue is Tuesday because of the holiday (it is Friday and we initiated the first service call the previous Friday).
So if you want a company that will do less than the bare minimum to fix their own mistakes, without the slightest sense of urgency, Plumb Genius will get it especially wrong for you. I got my money for the service call back from the home warranty company, and am going with the second opinion, whose estimate was correct the first time, and who thoroughly explained the work.
After this experience, I wouldn't trust them to work in my house, even if they were to correct the errors and perform decent customer service. -
These people absolutely destroyed my girlfriend's yard, fixed the pipe, ripped up all her grass, and her bushes from the yard and just left them all laying there.
Use someone else, they don't care about the damage they do to your property. -
Jerred and Eric installed a new water heater after ours crapped out. They were 5 minutes early! Amazing! They gave us a beautiful upgrade and were polite, detailed and professional. I would recommend them take care of you if you want things don’t correctly and up to code. Good job guys and thanks again for coming out on a Saturday.

AHS sent this company out for a broken hot water tank. They wanted us to pay $1425 out of pocket. My husband took the hot water tank to Home Depot and got it exchanged for free and spent $18 on a new water line. Total scam. Now called Trophy Plumbing. I’m guessing they changed the name due to terrible reviews.

I hired Plumb Genius/Trophy Plumbing to replace two sets of leaking shower valves on July 22nd, 2025. Simplest job ever. One shower valve set they replaced started leaking again on September 9th. I called them back to see if they would return and rectify the situation. They have a 30-day warranty on their work, but I was 17 days out of that window. These are shower valves...like I said, simplest job ever. Shower valves, in my experience, should last years (the ones they replaced were at least 10 years old...probably closer to 20). They were going to charge me $130 just to show up again. I would have happily paid them for the hourly work, but not a fee to show up (again) to fix (again) what they already proposed to have fixed, and what I paid over $500 to have them fix.
When they informed me the fee would apply in my case as I was out of their warranty window, I informed them I may as well pay someone else a service fee if Plumb Genius/Trophy Plumbing won't stand behind their work. But, they chose to let me move on to another vendor. Really bad business practice and questionable competence at basic plumbing work if you ask me. I will not use them again.
Integrity and character count for something in my opinion, and I can't support a business that doesn't stand behind their work. Especially only 47 days after they charged me $517 for basic, simple services. -
Amazing company I recommend
